Re: Making RuneScape bigger!
Gr33n... you wanted to help. In the gallery is a parchment version of the map, I'm going to be uploading a wordless version in a bit. Do you think you'd be any good at making it old fashioned? In fact, any one? Like... little sea serpents in the water, mountains/mountain-ranges, rivers, and such? Perhaps even a huge tree where the Grand Tree would be. I don't mind. Just... I can't. Plus, it'd be nice to see what you guys come up with.

Re: Making RuneScape bigger!
Very nice. But I'd still prefer if it was closer to the southern end of the lake so that the town can still be connected via a bridge. ...but I'm not limiting how far up the lake Ardougne and West Ardougne can go.
The Stone Desert, known formally as Mesokhardia, can be found North-Lune of the Khardian Desert. It would be the Mesoamerica of Gielinor, based mainly on the Maya and Aztec empires of old - including ziggurats and other marvellous cities/temples/structures. All... ruined, unfortunately. The Ruins of Ka'an, found on Karamja, match ruins found in the stone desert.
Transition between sand and stone;
An almost-replica of England's Stonehenge can be found South-Hath of Camelot Castle, in Albion. None know of it's significance, or what it's for. Many have, in the past, confused it with one of the Stone Circles erected for the worship of Guthix. The Knights of Camelot, however, know more to its tale. Fables told to the children of Albion speak of how King Arthur retrieved Excalibur from the stone altar at Stonehenge's centre, in a campaign with his knights, and they found themselves here.
See, I can make interesting lore that combines fiction with speculation.

Re: Making RuneScape bigger!
There is no fade-in and fade-out for travel on RuneScape any more... unless that is what the travel specifically does (like the ectophial's very brief animation before it was removed because it lagged too much).

Re: Making RuneScape bigger!
The whole ferry across seems stupid. There's be a bridge across the river either way, so why can't it be in the megacity rather than a half a minute down the road.

I'm going to add now that the images representing buildings will not necessarily match that which will actually be on the map.
Oh, and to those who might be concerns... Different lighthouse.
