One Method: Post your events like a normal topic, but remember to fill out the calendar section (scroll down a bit)!
Easier Method: Add your events via the calendar on the navigation bar, this auto-adds calendar information (so you don't need to remember)!

The minimum you need to fill in is the date - times, etc, aren't really needed unless your hosting an ingame event.
