Multi-Written Quest

Post by Ruy112 on Sun Jun 28, 2009 4:37 pm

Hello and welcome to this thread.

I am not sure how to explain it but we take turns writing a STEP of the quest. Maybe it would become to messy, or wouldn't function properly, but heck.

You may only write consecutive ONE STEP at a time, you can write more once someone else has posted.

Please include requirements, special rewards (If you kill a new monster, is it available after quest?) and 1,000 experience or coins, for the reward (preferably something linked to the step)

It may not work, please ask if you are confused or if you think anything should be added.

First part

In the Digsite we meet an archeologist, which is very logical seeing as it is a Digsite. He wants to go dig up some dusty old stuff somewhere in the desert, because he is an archaeologist. At first it sounds quite boring, but when he mentions ancient treasure, we deicde to give it a shot.

Summary
Can be found on page 9 by Prince Patar

Requirements

Tale of the Muspah
Garden of Tranquility
Plague City
Spirits of Elid
Desert Treasure
Lunar Diplomacy
Vampire Slayer
21 Thieving More is an Advantage
30 Ranged
33 Magic
Knowledge of Player Killing is recommended
Ability to defeat a level 86 foe
Must be able to survive the attacks of a level 354 monster
A Fairy Tale part 2 might be necesarry and is strongly recommended.
Reward

1000 Gold Coins
Ali's Journal (Gives the information Ali the Wise should be giving)
Amulet of Spirit (Function currently unknown)

We ask if we should visit Ali the Wise, the desert's local archaeologist.

If we have completed Tale of the Muspah. Ali will ask us what the goal of the expedition is, we realise that we don't know and decides to head back to the Archaeologist, to find out what he had in mind.

1.000 cash added to the reward.

Doesn't necessarily have to be Mahjarrat, maybe or maybe not, only time will tell.

The Archaeologist seems totally confused, not recalling your prior conversation at all (he is obviously a kook). Should you have completed the Garden of Tranquillity, you decided to use the ring of Charos to pry into his scrambled brain.

[why is Missing My Mummy required prior to it being required, lol? Tongue]

The Archaeologist has a badly headache, bring him some hangover cure and he will get a little better. You decide to question him further with the ring of Charos (A)

The player journeys south, and explores the vast sands of the desert. A large sandstorm suddenly picks up, and the player dives into a mass of bushes. Some hours later the storm clears to reveal what appears to be a large stone floor, but, the player thinks, it could be a roof. You return to the Archaeologist, and his "hangover" appears to have returned - you decide he is a complete lunatic. You pry his mind further...

What Dark Avorian wrote: ...and find something interesting about a formation of three rocks. Clueless as to the connection between your discovery and the stone formation, you return to the Desert...

You go see Ali the Wise, just to check if the rock hills even exist or the whole thing is just made up.

When he hears of the rock hills ali starts in fright...the rock hills he tells you are part of an old fairy tale that nardahan (?) mothers tell children about an old crone who collects the eyes of peeking children...

[why he would fright over this I don't know]

The player asks as to the significance of a loon bringing up an old wives' tale.
