Re: Multi-Written Quest V2

You are curious why Shackel was out here drawing pictures of these staring eyes, and are even more curious as to why this particular picture is unfinished. You search the area some more and find something scrawled into the bark of a tree: "Where's the rest of you?" Evidently, this drawing is older than the first one and is presumably a drawing of some creature that Shackel had seen. Over time, it appears that the creature revealed more of itself so that now Shackel could see its teeth. But why?

You return to Canifis without much else to go on. When you arrive, however, you see a hapless adventurer standing in the middle of the town looking confused. You speak with him and he reveals that he is just passing through on his way to the port and wants to spend the night. Unfortunately, the werewolves won't accept him in the inn and he desperately needs somewhere to stay. Suggest to him that he uses Shackel's Inn and it's probably free of charge since Shackel doesn't seem to be in. The man still insists that he should bring some sort of money and won't go until he has it (he, of course, is a broke adventurer). Fetch the poor soul 1000 coins and send him off into the shack.

[New Requirement: 1000 coins]

[Also, I just noticed that this looks an awful lot like the drawing except less creepy: What a Face ]

Suddenly you hear a scream and you rush over to see, what happened. Ulizius is attacked by three ghasts, he casts bloom on one of them, but then he shouts "Saradomin has left me" and starts fighting it, but he appears to lose. You rush in and help him.

After you defeat the guards, you hear another scream, people just scream around here. Anyway, you rush towards the scream, towards Shackel's inn, sadly you are too late. The only thing left is a rune dagger (which you can keep) a few bloodstains and a crude drawing in the dust. Two eyes and a teethy mouth, however they are very crude, like they've been drawn in a hurry.

Also the trapdoor appears to have had a few more punches, it appears whoever wanted it open has succeeded, but whether it is down there or fled you can't make out.

After inspecting the trapdoor you seem that some circular footprints lead away...but since they are perfect circles you have no idea which way they went...you follow them out of the shack...do a circle around the southern marsh ghouls...enter the mort myre...and come all the way to a small abandoned camp justt north of the druid grotto

The campsite looks old, as though it was used long ago for...something. A small strip of cloth is propped up on two sticks, making a small lean-to. Underneath the cloth, a small, rotting box sits with nothing but a journal on top of it. The only other things of interest in the campsite are a small fire ring and a large rock with something scribbled on it.

The Rock:

Here Lies The Sacrifices For My Friend (written in red on the rock)

The Journal:

NEXT?

Upon closer inspection the rock actually reads: Here LiEs The SAcrifices For My FrienD. You cannot make out anything about the rock, so you decide to pick up fire ring and read the journal.

Upon closer inspection the ring reads: 7, 30, 35, 20. Is it a date? A code? You can't make it out, but decides to keep the ring.

The journal doesn't make much sense either, more pictures of eyes and teeth, but there is also other drawings. A picture of some kind of large stone coffin with a cross on top, although crude, an experienced player should be able to make it out (Dessous Tomb)

There is also a picture of flames and fire. And inside the journal is hidden a small carved key. Apparently made of bone.

When carrying the key in your inventory in Morytania, you will constantly be attacked by a "Large Ghast" level 76. It will rotten all food in your inventory and damage you 50% to your hitpoints and 50% to your prayer. Luckily only a max hit of 12. You can use the Druid Pouch to make it attackable, but it will only last for half a minute, similar to the Crystal chime on warped beasts. You can defeat it, but it returns after a few minutes.

Bank the key or leave Morytania, to get rid of it.

You cannot decide what to do next. You still have no clue as to what happened, other than there's a curse and people are going missing.

Wander around until you stumble upon the werewolf agility course. Using the Ring of Charos, you ask him if he has information about anything. The werewolf just laughs at you, he's never heard of such a thing... or has he? Living so far away from civilization, he misses his hot, fresh meals... He says he may remember better with a good dinner.

The only thing is - human is on the menu! So you must find a meat that you can disguise as human to get him.

What does every meat taste like? CHICKEN! but you'll need some human blood so get malak to bite you and dribble it on your chicken...then cook it...use a knife to remove the bones and kabam! human meat!

You give it to the Werewolf, who happily eats it. If you are carrying the Carved key, he will ask what's up with the ghast. You tell him that you are unableto get rid of it, he laughs at your weakness and asks you to make it mortal, he'll help you get rid of it, because you brought him food.

Use your Druid Pouch to make the ghast attackable and the werewolf will defeat it in two or three hits. Sadly it returns and the werewolf admits that not even he can get rid of it.

You ask him about the monster anyway, he doesn't know anything about a monster, but a strange fog has spread south-east of the agility course and people are talking about strange whisper in the fog.

You decide to check it out. It fits rather well witht he strange drawing you found in the journal.

You enter the deep fog...you realize you'll need a bullseye lantern to see anything (new req...Bullseye lantern)

After you get in you enter...you walk down the misty pathway...barely anyhting is visible...you hear strange voices...screams for help...shouted threats...each time you hear something you will recieve a prompt telling you what directiong you think it's in..eventually you find yourself facing a replica of the shack... with a huge padlock on it...I wonder what you might need to do to open it?

You ponder, thoughtfully.

[sorry, I need to read it all before I actually post something with significant content Wink]
