No, at the moment, it doesn't look like she is properly covered. Unless she is very nimble and will only fight you with her back turned against you.

Actually...I have a more complex backstory for her now
She was a powerful chaos dwarf mage...who was trapped by the lava diamond and became that thing you're drawing...but when you mine through at teh end you free her and she is reunited with her dwarven lover...now i ahve to explain how he stayed alive for...several ages...
