One thing, I can't tell if the farms are too big... especially when compared to the town of Avon? Is the scale right?

Hmm, they do seem a bit oversized. Most of them are 1.5 times as big as Varrock city! I don't think farms are normally larger than cities...

But great job so far! I'm really impressed about what you've made. I can't wait to see the next pieces of the world map.

lol...farming areas are usually bigger than cities...

The farming areas are fine lol... compared to a modern city they are massively too big, but in a the time period agriculture would have been larger. There's a farm down the road from me that's probably double the size of the village in live (ignoring the fact it is the largest field in England )! I meant the farms though... like McGregger and MacDonald's farm(house). Draynor Farm is huge compared to Draynor itself... the farmhouse is almost POH in size, so I suppose it's not totally out or proportion.

I guess farms used to be much larger because of less food output per surface area?
I have a farm close to my house, and it's definately smaller than a city.

What kind of monsters would there be in the farms, apart from farmers?

Crows, Insects

Those scarecrowblins.

There is also the Spookrow, a race of scarecrow-like creatures (stiff movement, pumpkin head, etc) - they are employed by the farmers to work on the land! But other than that, yeah, krows, insect, cows and odd sheep. Krows would be a lot larger in respect to real life crows - the spookrow will attack them, but nothing is stopping you from doing so.
