Re: Fairness for Items?
There aren't spiritual aviantese, are there?
And the goblins have natural magic, as opposed to humans who can only conjure it through artificial means. However, this magic does not come from Bandos. The goblins only believe it does because their high priests say that only those of their rank may use it and that it should be considered treason for any goblin below the sufficient rank to use. This is where my proposed lore on hobgoblins cam from - they are goblins who were corrupted by magic. Their insatiable lust for magic has not only corrupted their mind, but their body (also).
Previous lore states that a hobgoblin in an orc-goblin cross-breed. However, now that goblins have been shown to reproduce sexually, this is no longer possible (by my favourite orc-lore, anyway). Orcs are fungus-based creatures that reproduce asexually (ie, they release spores). For this they can never truly be killed, as killing one will just release thousands of spores into the air. But that's neither here nor there. But it doesn't matter... hobgoblins are miscellaneous creatures atm, no story and very little lore.
For Magic, I reckon two sets of armour - one for Zamorak and one for Saradomin. The other two gods aren't particularly known for Magic, and neither of their forces within the dungeon use it. In fact... I don't think Zamorak's forces do, so it might just be Saradomin. My favourite is still to just have the armour dropped by a 5th army.

Re: Fairness for Items?
Even if it's not related to the Homecoming Apocalypse quest, it doesn't change the fact that the rest of the world could take a gander inside.
...I'm struggling to think of an army that isn't already covered, lol. I suppose the Temple Knights could send in the troops to explore, a minor addition to Saradomin (including Elite White Knights, who would drop Elite White Knight armour - the Dying Knight/Sir Gerry was wearing the helm). The Kinshra, curious as to what the Temple Knights are up to, might send in some troops - the majority being Black Knight Titans, I'd hope (so they aren't Elites, but they aren't weaklings - just meathead support).
Some of the Legion of Guthix, those who swarmed the Fist of Guthix when it was discovered, might take-a-look-see at the dungeon - spirit mounts and all! No, this wouldn't be a hint at mounts, although I can imagine the spam, it's just a nifty way to give the robe-wearers some power! As the majority of the Legion are spiritualist, they will attack using Ranged and Magic (the less brawn-based skills).
It's possible that a magic outfit could be dropped by the legion. It should be noted that the Legion do not wear the clich light-green and do not have the upright-snake branded upon them. They, instead, have a half-moon decorated to look similar to the stone of Jas, and they wear very royal colours (dark-red, purple, dark-green and gold).
This is adding Guthix to the God Wars dungeon despite Guthix not having an army frozen in the dungeon. There wouldn't be a Guthix Godsword as there isn't a hilt, but there could be cape and amulet shaped with the same half-stone symbol. ^.^
Shadow dwellers would still have my vote, but that requires Homecoming Apocalypse. Iban's Fortress activates, cracking the dungeon in four as it rises above the ground. The large, shinning crystal explodes a brilliant glare of light which ripples the ground in it's wake - revealing a very different world underneath. Ice, not snow, ice covers Iban's Fortress and spans right into the God Wars Dungeon, freezing the water solid and coating over the large cracks that were very briefly present. Shadows, of different shapes and sizes, appear everywhere - mostly there, but as if not (flickering occasionally like a missing slide in projection). The armies of the God Wars dungeon were used to such magic, and did only respond to the newcomers with more fighting.

Re: Fairness for Items?
Anyone could go in who is powerful enough...who wouldn't want to
And you know the Kinshra are the Black Knights...
And sorry to say I have never read Homecoming Apocalypse because it involves killing Drakan whos fate is already set out for him and is an attempt to change a major storyline...unlikely imho

Re: Fairness for Items?
So you didn't read it for that reason? That's... quite pathetic really. Anyway, Drakan has been removed from the quest... the Fleshling now holds his Key, and the Stone Key previously held by her is now guarded by Drystan, the Fallen King.
Also, where did I say that the Kinshra weren't the Black Knights...

Re: Fairness for Items?
Also when I attempted to read it I found it to be scattered with parts unwritten or hidden far later in the post...
And yes...I personally refuse to read anything that attempts to usurp a current series (Note: Callums and Jeeves take off on interesting side stories or something that is only related by name)
