Re: Fairness for Items?

Post by 3mptylord on Tue Jun 30, 2009 10:46 pm

I'm sorry... but there was (and still isn't) an apparent continuation to Desert Treasure, so writing a sequel isn't disturbing anything in itself. Also, I share the opinion where not to interrupt storylines, but I didn't when I originally wrote that quest like 2 years ago (with Tatz of course). Besides, if the quest is good, I'd actually love for a storyline to be cut short by the loss of an important character - it means the storyline you interrupted has to skirt around the mess. But, admittedly, the Myreque series isn't one that I'd want to be interrupted. It'd be like... if... I can't think of any examples. Tongue

Also - how does it imply that?

"Asgarnia is at war, the Temple Knights verses the Kinshra, or less specifically, the White verses the Black Knights."

I also have tried to read it several times admittedly...I just always got really confused because you would just jolt between parts of the story and...and...and...aaaargh

It's not that confusing... post 10 is the ultimatum to Desert Treasure, page 2 is a summary of the chapters, and pages 4 and 5 are the descriptions of each beast.

I somewhat disagree. Magic first needs a weapon to have a special attack. As a spell is an attack and not the weapon, so the spell cannot have a special attack; and as a staff is a melee weapon, they can't either. Wink

I was also wondering what you thought of scroll augments (my new idea) Available from various sources (crafting+magic, monster drops, clue scrolls) with the best coming from boss drops and lvl 3 clues as rare rewards..they would up the power of robes that they are imbued into and would probably be most effective when used on splitbark or for those rich and powerful people third age...

Also I really want to rework runecrafting as the new expanded imbuing skill which is sort of like enchanting and runecrafting + more

I think special effects would work better than attacks... like for armors.

Yeah, aside from things like conjuring, it'd be very difficult to give them an actual special attack. To be honest, if their spells are attack styles, the Ancient Magicks are the special attacks as the attack styles have effects.
