I think it's an update Jagex could put in and not tell us about and players would be pleasantly surprised be the subtle changes. Declaring it would be the only mistake, I don't think it would be properly noticed otherwise.

This wouldn't change much about how things work now. You can still receive a visage first kill. It's only that after 3000 black dragons with no drops worth mentioning, your chance of visage should increase. When you finally receive the visage, your potential goes down again.

If you kill a Earth warrior, with 100% (Not guaranteeing anything at all) and receive a dragon spear, it wouldn't go all the way down to 0% as Dragon SPear isn't that valuable.

There is still luck, you are just removing the insane unluckyness, you can still have a left half of a shield from Shadow warriors in first kill, but hopefully you won't have to kill 16000 (Me) to get one.

So I can wail on goblins to get 100% and then have really good visage chance from black drags?

Of course some monsters give more EP than others. Getting crappy drops from Goblins doesn't give you much potential, getting crappy drops from black dragons get you a little more, crappy drops from Corporeal Beast would really give you a nice amount of potential.

I theory you can get 100% EP from goblins, in theory you could train magic to 99 with windstrike.

I guess it would work, but luck still needs to play into it. Even if you have TONS of EP built up, you should never be high enough to automatically get something.

What if... EP was based off GE prices? Like... lets say everytime you kill something, it's combat level + it's hp gets added to EP. Every drop you get (excluding 100% drops) would get subtracted off of it. Of course, this means you could build up thousands of EP, but it would still work. Then if you got a good drop, then you would lose EP instead of gain it.
