Ep everywhere

I am sick and tired of never getting the good drops. EP should be everywhere, every time you kill a dragon and get a bad drop, it goes up by a little, every time you kill a player and doesn't get a good drop, it goes up a little, once you finally get that blackmask from Cave Horrors after earned quite some potential, it'll go down.

Goodbye crappy luck system, hello honest hard working player rewards.

Lol, remind me what EP stands for, but I support the general concept. Would mean the Ring of Wealth has a finite effect - increases the EP (?) increase per kill? I'm guessing when you get a "rare" drop the EP would go back down?

Earned Potential. It differs from the normal one, this you can't increase by just standing around, you have to get crappy drops. Certain of the better drops would decrease your EP, Visage would decrease more than Dragon Spear.

No idea how the Wealth would play in.

What I'm finding odd here is the fact that getting a rare drop is something that you seem to think you're entitled to...I don't rant about rare drops being rare drops for me because that's how it's supposed to be...

But that is not how it's suppose to be, that's your opinion on how it's suppose to be. A rare drop is no less entitled then a common drop, it just requires more effort to obtain than a common. It's like trading cards... or, anything where there is different scales of rarity. Ruy's idea doesn't change the rarity of an item, it just makes it less random and more predefined. At the moment it is entirely random... and down to luck.

I know this may be odd...but I've had crappy drops...the best drop I've ever gotten was a black mask about halfway through my third cave horror task in a row...But I like it this way...And I don't know if I'd like it if there was constantly some variable working its way towards a rare drop for me...What if I worked for hours killing 300 black dragons then decided to wail on a zamorak monk nearby and got a rare drop...would that lose me all my potential or are you suggesting jagex waste the server power to give us a separate counter for every monster...And conversely should i be able to wail on goblins for three hours then kill a black drag and instantly get a visage because of my EP?

I like the random luck factor...It's why I don't like PK'ing...because to get something good you have to be like that sad no-lifer I met who was sitting on fally wall by the gate where nobody goes for 8 hours...she was carrying 26k and 3 diamonds...I like the fact that no matter what I do...Every kill I have the same chance of getting a visage as that lvl 138 beside me or that lvl 79 useing a rune hally to finish one part of RFD

I don't really know if I like this idea. I have terrible luck, and I'd never make any money from killing. Back in the day when I used to kill for unids, my mate god a dspear in his first drop! I think I killed thousands and didn't get one. That's not rare, I just get bad rolls on the dice.
