Gielinor's Fiyre - Fiyre #1 to 5

Post by Dragon78114 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 2:23 am

_ Posting it here for keeps-sakes. If you haven't read the prolouge, I'd advise that you read it._

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Please note that the requirements and reoccurring boss information will be listed in ever GF thread.
I am writing a prequel to this quest, it will be called 'The Demonic Doll' it is much, MUCH shorter than this giant, not any less cooler or challenging.

I have updated some of the rewards and requirements to better-fit the difficulty of this quest. Particularly in the 4th Fiyre. The rewards are MUCH more generous and I have made the requirements a little harder, due to recent quest releases, and the growth in levels among players and to better-match the difficulty of the quest, while keeping relatively challenging to reach that level.

==#^_> I. The Fiyre Helm/ Coif <_^#==

The first Fiyre you will be searching for is the Helmet (for melee) or the Coif (for range).

This Fiyre is the easiest to get BY FAR, but don't let that make you become too over-confident.

Q&A (read it, it explains a lot and will help you prepare)

Q: Should I bring items to help me with the quest?

A: Yes, you should bring a spade.

Q: What fights will I encounter?

A: A level 200 Fiyre Thief, (consult the post about Boss information earlier on this page) and 2 Cult members

--------------------------------------------------------------

1. Feel you new "Demonically Enchanted Key" and it will eventually lead you to the Tyras Camp.

Head on over to the tent you destroyed in Regicide. Go inside where it stood, and where the key is at its hottest, dig with your spade (the location is random for every person, but it is in the same general vicinity).

Once you dig in the correct location, 2 cult members will pop up and attack them. Kill them. (YAY! 9 of 25! 16 left!)

2. Dig once more (in the same spot as before), this time, the level 200 Fiyre Thief will appear.

He will talk to you.
_____

Thief: "Hello, (your name), please leave this sacred object alone. It should not be touched by mortals."

You: "Excuse me, but I am on a Holy Crusade to find the Fiyres."

Thief: "I trust no thief."

You: "I am no thief!"

Thief: "Then please explain (insert Thieving level here)."

You: "You don't know that..."

Thief: "Yes I do. Now please step away and never dig up this spot or I will get violent."

-------
Now you have 2 options for dialogue.

"Never!" or "Can you please tell me the history of this Fiyre?"

If you choose "never," you will never find out why this Fiyre was sent here, some nifty information on King Tyras, and you will end the conversation.

If you choose the latter option, it will wind up to be a long explanation on why the Fiyre is there.

The ghost will (to make a long line of speech very short) say that the Fiyre was taken here because no living thing lived here, and so he decided to bury it where no one can ever think to hide it. But sadly, the Holiness of the Fiyre made the forest grow, thus attracting life.

Also an interesting fact told by the Thief, is that King Tyras knew about these Fiyres and his greed succumbed him to using an army of Elves to mine and pose as healers or 'mourners' to do the searching for him. (Also he was in the Gielinor's Fiyre cult). The Temple of Light was just was found accidentally, and now he's harvesting death runes. You will exit the conversation after the last line of his lecture and the Thief will disappear.

3. Dig once more and the Thief will reappear.

He will come up and talk to you. This time he is irritated.
______

Thief: "Like all mortals they can't keep their greedy hands off of treasure! Don't do it again, or else I will result in force!"
______

4. Dig for a third time.

NOTE: If you aren't prepared for battle, PREPARE NOW!

Kill the thief. If you want to know what techniques he uses in battle, confront the boss information page.

5. Once he is killed, dig for the fourth and final time.

You will get a casket.

Pick lock it open. There is no known key to open this chest. As explained
when you right click it and select the option, "Examine."

NOTE: Depending on how high your thieving level is, the higher chance of NOT breaking the pick. As explained here:

Level 67 - 75: 50 - 58%
Level 76 - 84: 59 - 67%
Level 85 - 93: 68 - 76%
Level 94 - 99: 77 - 85%

THIS APPLIES TO EVERY CASKET FOUND IN THIS QUEST!

So, you might need a lot of lock picks

6. Once you pick lock your casket open (congratulations! ), you will get: an Amulet of Eternal Fire, The Fiyre Helm/Coif, and 5k gp.

==#^_> II. The Fiyre Platebody/ Ranger Body <_^#==

This time you will be searching for the Fiyre Platebody (melee) or the Ranger Body (range).

-------------------------
Q&A (read it, it explains a lot and will help you prepare).

Q: Should I bring items to help me along with the quest?

Yes, you should bring a cut sapphire, cut emerald, cut diamond, cut ruby, 4 Cosmic Runes, 10 Air Runes, 1 Water Rune, 10 Fire Runes, 10 Earth runes, 2 Death Runes, papyrus, quill, empty vial, and a pestle and mortar.

Q: What fights will I encounter?

A: A level 200 Fiyre Thief (consult the post about Boss information on the third page) and 4 Cult members.
--------------------------

1. You don't have to get all of the items necessarily all at once. You can make trips, but you cannot teleport due to the Demonic Doll being in your inventory (as well as cast magical spells). It is good to being some food/weapons/armour, and a Phoenix quill, vial, and papyrus.

The Demonically Enchanted Key will eventually take you to Uzer on the complete opposite sides of the world. (You can do it!)

2. Once you are at Uzer, go inside. Click on the portal. There will be a message in your chat interface,
-----
"Are you epileptic?*"

Then there will be two options. "Yes", or "No".

If you click, "Yes", the room inside won't flash. (Explained later on.)

If you click, "No", the room will be normal.
-----

Then travel through the portal.^
You may use magic in this room due to the magical energies in the room overpowers your Demonic Doll.

You will be in the summoning room. It is normal, right? Wrong, the throne in the back of the room is glowing red. The demon's skeleton is walking around (level 160). The room is flashing random colors at times, and it's covered in smoke.

If you examine him, it says, "Looks like he has a weakness to enchanted gems."

If you examine the throne, it will say, "Looks like it needs enchanted gems."

3. Exit the room. Go to the far northwest corner and grab the Strange Implement. Get out of the place, and talk to the Golem.
_______

Golem: "Alas, the demon is resurrected from the dead once more for me to finally kill him in protection of this sacred place!"

You: "I'm not so sure about that."

Golem: "But it must be, I will defend this location once more!"

You: "But how did he come back to life? I thought I sabotaged his resurrection!"

Golem: "You might have, but he has definitely has come back and I must protect Uzer!"
_______

~~~~~FOOTNOTES~~~~~
^ Portals use a type of magic the Demonic Doll cannot absorb.
* Epilepsy is a disease where you can have seizures (and other VERY bad things) due to bright, flashy lights.
Re: Gielinor's Fiyre - Fiyre #1 to 5
Post by Dragon78114 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 2:30 am
4. Pick a black mushroom and use it with your pestle and mortar. You will get black ink.
Now use the ink with your quill and use it on the papyrus.
You will get "Golem's Programming" in your inventory.
5. Now use the Strange Implement on the Golem and quickly place the programming on the Golem.
Now talk to him.
_____
Golem: "Processing re-programming. Oh hello, I will not kill the demon. I leave it to you, and I will help when you please."
You: "Good! Now can you please tell me how Agrith-Naar came back to life?"
Golem: "Some unnatural force ravaged this area a short while ago. I feel that the Gods are feeling disgraced in some way."
You: "Hm, interesting. I will search it more and ask you some other questions later."
______
6. You can drop the stuff you just used. Now is a great time to grab your runes and your gems.
Once you have them, go inside the Uzer building. Go through the portal and run up to the portal (the doll's magic draining abilities fail in here so you can use magic).
Use an enchantment spell for each gem (with the proper spell for the proper gem) and you will get: an "Enchanted Sapphire," an "Enchanted Emerald," an "Enchanted Ruby," and an "Enchanted Diamond."
7. Use each one of the gems on the throne.
*CUTSCENE*
------------
The demon's skeleton notices you and it will charge and run to you and the random and flashing colors will double.
Once the demon reaches you, it knocks you out of the way. The skeleton will crash in the throne with the gems and its structure will collapse and fall on it.
The bones will spark and reform, this time, the skeleton is messed up, making him look like a walking jumble of bones with 4 gems in the skull's eye sockets.
The creepy jumble of bones will be walking to you and at this time you will we running for your life. Then the screen fades to black; leaving you outside the portal.
You: "Those colors were bright! I need something that'll make me colorblind for a moment!"
------
The four level 19 Ghosts will attack you, but they don't necessarily matter.
8. Find some Black mushrooms, and eat one. You will temporarily loose your color-seeing abilities. This is a good thing because there will be PLENTY of eye-hurting colors in there. They also can help you reveal something that you cannot normally see. It works the same way as the
Ring of Visibility, but the ring doesn't make you temporarily colorblind.
Pick at least three, the effects last about 5 minutes.
9. Proceed into the hall with the messed-up and evil looking skeleton. This time it isn't there; a Fiyre Thief in its place. You can't talk to it just yet. There will also be a ladder coming from the tile in the dead center of the room. Climb down it.
10. You will be in a sand cave with floating pieces of Golems (level 90) and broken kilns everywhere! Just continue down the path. The parts will attack you, but you can't attack back. So RUN and put on protect from magic prayer on because this place is multi-combat.
11. Once you reach at the end of the path, (the mushrooms should have worn off by now) and there will be two kilns at the end. One giving off a red light from the opening, and the other a white. If you examine kiln with the red glow, it will say: "It has enough flame, but needs some air." The other one will read: "It has enough air, but not enough flame."
12. Use a Fire Blast spell on the kiln that has the white glow. It will give off a pink glow. Then a message appears in your text box, "The kiln is at a perfect balance, and will resolve the fighting."
Magically, all the Golem parts drop to the floor! They no longer will attack you and will remain as ground decorations.
13. Now use a Wind Blast on the kiln that is glowing red. It will also glow pink.
Then, a message appears in your chat box, "The kilns are in prefect balance. The Golem will now be restored."
Then all the Golem parts will vanish and one large golem rises from the sand!
14. Go over and talk to the Golem.
______
Golem: "Thank you friend for releasing me from my prison. I will now defend against the invaders."
You: "Oh, your welcome. Do I get anything?"
Golem: "Behind the kilns there is a ladder. You prize will be waiting in that room."
You: "But there isn't a ladder."
Golem: "Yes there is. You just have to look hard."
______
15. Eat another black mushroom and climb down the stairs.
Once you do that, you will be in a square room with signs of Zaros painted on the walls. In the middle, lies a pedestal with the Second Fiyre on it.
16. Go and grab the Fiyre, but once you have done that, FOUR Cult Members will pop up and you will not be able to pick up the Fiyre.
Just kill all 4 then you can. (Yay! You have killed 13, and only have 12 left to go)!
17. Once you have the Second Fiyre, climb the ladder which you entered. Once you are in the tunnel, travel all the way back, and enter the demonic throne room, where you will be stopped by the Fiyre Thief.
Note: Make sure you are colorblind!
He will walk up to talk to you.
_____
Thief: "Why must annoying adventurers these days have to keep trying to steal the Fiyres? They always have to make me put the Fiyres exactly the way they were in the first place! It is so invigorating!"
You: "I don't know. I am just trying to save the world here."
Thief: "Really? From what?"
You: "From a cult trying to steal the Fiyres, so they can summon any god and possibly destroy the world. Especially they summon Guthix!"
Thief: "Probable cause. But I still don't see that ever happening. Maybe you're part of that cult. Hm?"
You: "Well then how do you explain those four cult members that I killed and were about to steal the Fiyre!?"
Thief: "I am only programmed by Lord Saradomin to kill those who carry the Fiyre with them, and that is you."
You: "Wait! I want to talk about something first!"
-------
Now you will have 2 selections:
"Can you explain the history of the Fiyre before you kill me? Just for reference!"
or
"Oh never mind, just kill me."
The first selection will allow you to go in a long explanation on how the Fiyre is here, why the thief chose this location, and the history of Uzer.
Here is a summed up version of the conversation:
The Fiyre was hidden here because only Uzerlites were allowed in the city. This city had a trustworthy race of people who became long extinct in the early years of the God Wars. This happened when Saradomin was offended of the people who worshiped Zaros, so he sent in the demon and terrorized the place and eventually killing every human in there. Right at the location the demon was finally laid to rest by the final King of Uzer, is where he sacrificed his life to kill the demon by using a complex array of enchanting gems and using the largest Golem his
civilization has ever made.
And if you choose the 2nd option, you will immediately go into fight, and you can only kill the thief when you are colorblind.
18. Once you have killed the thief, (YAY!) Leave the room because the building under Uzer will start to collapse! Get out of there before it is too late!
There are falling rocks, and if one hits you, it deals 10 to 20 damage!
NOTE: THIS APPLIES TO EVERY FALLING ROCK IN THIS QUEST.
Re: Gielinor's Fiyre - Fiyre #1 to 5
Post by Dragon78114 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 2:36 am
=#^_> III. The Fiyre Plate Legs/ Ranger Legs <_^#==
This time you will be searching for the Fiyre Platelegs (melee) or the Ranger Legs (range).
-------------------------
Q&A (read it, it explains a lot and will help you prepare)
Q: Should I bring items to help me along with the quest?
Yes, you should bring a mithril grapple, a rope, diving gear, an empty vial, and a grimy Snapdragon herb.
Q: What fights will I encounter?
A: A level 200 Fiyre Thief (consult the post about Boss information on the third page), 2 Cult members, and areas *filled* with level 79 sharks.
--------------------------
1. Feel your Demonically Enchanted Key to find the Third Fiyre. It will lead you to the Void Knight's Outpost. (Although it is not anywhere on the island, it is far west of it, where the place is underwater).
2. Talk to anyone, if not everyone and ask them where the Fiyre is. The only person (random for everyone) is suitable, is the Void Knight that defends in the Pest Control Operative.
3. Time for a 1/2 game of Pest Control! (Cool, but not really so cool!)
Get on a boat to start the minigame (the low-level game is recommended, since you aren't really trying to gain combat xp, you have business).
4. Once you are on the island, hurry and talk to him before there are too many pests trying to kill him.
Ask him about a Fiyre and it location.
He won't respond and he'll say he is too busy.
Hit him with melee or range.
Then he will answer you like this:
Void Knight: "Please stop it! I'll tell you! It's in Aldesdor! But it is now underwater, so it is impossible to go to! Now leave me be!"
You: "Oh, thanks."
5. Now either finish the game, wait until it is over, or log out and back in to quickly quit it.
After that, go to the Squire near the boats and talk to him/her.
______
You: "Can you take me to Aldesdor? I kinda need to go there for a Holy Crusade."
Squire: "But that place has been underwater since the God Wars!"
You: "I know that! That's why I want you to take me to its last known location!"
Squire: "I only know where the general direction is! I don't know its exact location!"
You: "I do. I have an enchanted key that allows me to find the location of things and places!"
Squire: "Oh really?"
You: "Yes really."
Squire: "Show me."
There will be a message in your chat interface saying, "You show the Squire you Demonically Enchanted Key."
Squire: "Oh..."
You: "Yeah..."
Squire: "Alright, but I am not allowing you to go for free. I require 50gp every trip."
-----
Now you have three options IF you are wearing the Ring of Charos(a). Otherwise, only the two latter options will be available.
Which will be:
"Or I can ride with you for no cost at all. (Charm)"
"Alright, here is 50gp!"
"I think I can wait just a bit longer"
The first choice will let you go for free for an infinite amount of times, the second one will force you to pay to ride on the boat, and the last option will allow you some time to prepare.
NOTE: EQUIP YOUR DIVING APPARATUS WITH YOU! You need it first thing!
-------
_______
*Cutscene*
------------
Like when you go diving with Murphy it is generally the same, but this time with the Squire. Also, there will be a short conversation as follows:
You: "The key is reading Aldesdor is right below us!"
Squire: "You sure...? Alright, I'll send an anchor down. Meet me back up at the surface and I'll take you back to the Outpost."
You: "Okay!"
___
Then it shows you jump off the side of the boat, then the screen fades to black.
*End cutscene*
------
6. You will be in an underwater paradise, there are schools of fish running round, one or two mogres that completely ignore you, swimming zombies that also completely ignore you, and a fortress in total ruin.
You cannot move more than 5 squares ahead of you. If you try to move more than 5 squares, the game will say, "The underwater pressure is too great to move this far. Maybe Murphy can help you with this problem."
7. Climb back up the anchor and onto the boat. Then you will appear back at the Void Knight Outpost.
Then leave it by talking to one of the Squires.
8. Go to Murphy all the way in Port Khazard. (You can use the Trader Crew Member for an unnecessarily large fee, or walk there yourself, but YOU CANNOT TELEPORT; the Demonic Doll will prevent you).
Re: Gielinor's Fiyre - Fiyre #1 to 5
Post by Dragon78114 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 2:43 am
Once you have reached Murphy, talk to him.
_____
You will have three selections before getting into conversation.
"Talk about going diving"
"Talk about Gielinor's Fiyre"
"Talk about something else"
The first one will talk about going diving with Murphy (not necessary right now, unless you lost your Diving equipment).
If you choose the second option, you will have conversation intended for this quest. (necessary for right now)
The third one will go on a conversation about Fishing Trawler, or anything else he wants to say. (not necessary right now)
-----
*If you chose the second option*
You: "Hello Murphy."
Murphy: "Ah, matey what do 'ya need from yer old pal Murphy?"
You: "I need some sort of thing that allows me to resist the intense pressure from deep below the sea."
Murphy: "Ah yes! A Pressure Resistance Potion is what yer askin' for!"
You: "I guess. Do you have some that you can give or sell to me?"
Murphy: "Sorry, no lad, ya have to make one yerself. I forgot in me old age how to make one."
You: "But what if I..."
-----
9. Head on out to visit Jorral. He still has Kiner-Otan's research.
Once you have visited Jorral, talk to him.
_____
Jorral: "(your name), I haven't seen you in a long time! So how goes your search?"
You: "Good I guess. I only found two of the Fiyres, and I need Kiner-Otan's research to help with the quest."
Jorral: "Oh, here you are then!"
*Jorral gives you Kiner-Otan's Research.*
_____
10. Now head back to Murphy. You will have the same 3 options when you first talk to him. Click the second.
_____
You: "Does this help to ring a bell?"
Murphy: "Hmm.. Ye. Oh now I remember! You use err... A grimy Snapdragon, with a vial full of sea water, then you mix it in with ground crab meat!"
You: "Oh, that sounds... delectable."
Murphy: "Aye it is! An' it only works underwater!"
You: "I guess I'll give it a try."
______
11. Now is the time to grab your grimy Snapdragon, vial, and a pestle and mortar from the nearest bank, which is either in East Ardounge or Yanille.
Grab a bucket (there are many spawns in the port) and use it on a fishing spot anywhere that is touching the sea. (A sardine fishing spot will be added for this quest in Port Khazard if
there isn't one there already). Use your bucket with seawater on your vial.
You will now get a 'Vial of Sea Water' in you inventory. Use it with the Grimy Snapdragon, resulting in a 'Smelly, Unfinished Potion.'
Now is time for the crab meat.
12. Talk to Murphy and ask him about going diving.
Once you are underwater, head north until you get to the crab pen.
Enter it and kill a crab and pick up some meat it drops.
13. Go back to the surface of water. Once you are at the port, use the pestle and mortar with the crab meat. You will get 'Ground Crab Meat' in your inventory.
Use it with the unfinished potion, and you will get (as it reads in your inventory) a "Pres-Resist Potion(5)" Yes it will have 5 doses, but you will be using every dose in the search for the Third Fiyre..
13. Now you have your pressure resistance potion! YAY! Now go back to the Void Knight's Outpost and talk to the Squire. (Same conversation as before, and same cutscene.)
14. Once you are near Aldesdor, take a dose your Pressure Resistance Potion. It will only wear off when you surface to air.
15. Now swim to the giant building ruins. Once you are at the large building doors, enter it.
The screen will go black and will fade in once you are in the building. You are still underwater; in a pool with one opening heading to the north.
This place is made up stone and looks like it will crumble any second, yet it is beautiful with some vines along the walls, the stone is white, and the tiles on the ground are somewhat shattered.
Go down the tunnel, and it will still be underwater; you will eventually come to another large set of double doors.
Once you try to open the door a warning sign will appear: "WARNING! Every area after this (in the water) is filled with aggressive, level 79 Sharks that can only be attacked with a Brine Sabre. Protect from melee prayer is highly recommended. Your potion will not apply in any room after this because Aldesdor is protected by a magical force."
You will be in an even bigger room, but the water area is rather thin with broken, stone bridges in the middle.
16. Go to the opposite end of the room where you get to the large, black opening that reads, 'Large Well.'
Directly west of it is a ladder, climb up the ladder. Yay! You're out of the water! But you'll go back in there...
17. Walk (don't run, you'll slip due to the amount of puddled water on the ground and it will cause 5 damage to yourself) to one of the broken bridges and jump across it. You can do this by clicking on the opposite side. You could slip and fall, or jump and completely miss. Thus, you'll swim with the sharks.
18. Once you jumped across the first bridge, continue east until you see another huge set of double doors.
Open it and it will reveal a large staircase.
Climb up it. You will appear high up from the ground and on an overlooking balcony. There are several platforms held up only by four chains.
19. Jump off the balcony and onto one of the hanging platforms. If you fail, you will fall and deal 50 damage. If you fall between the 2nd and 3rd, you get the damage and a swim with the sharks.
Continue to jump across the platforms until you reach the end of the other. There will be two cult members waiting for you on the western balcony.
Kill them; they are easy.
20. Once you have killed them, climb up the stairs. If you try going down the stairs a message will say, "Due to hundreds of years underwater, that way down is destroyed"
So climb up the stairs. This time you will be on a *very* narrow walkway. Walk across it.
A tremor will cause your character to fall off the walkway and land on the platforms below, causing 15hp in damage. This only happens ONCE and at a random point for EACH person when they are on the walkway.
Once across, climb up the stairs. You will be in a room with cages, a giant rock on a ledge, several stone bookcases, a tile floor, puddles of seawater, and a couple of overturned metal tables.
The roof gets smaller as you go west due to the fact that this room is right under the ceiling of these ruins.
21. If you examine the rock, it will say, "Some strange magical energy is coming from the core, I wonder how I could break it open."
Try and push the boulder off the edge. You can't and you'll slip.
*cutscene*
With you on the ground stunned, like when you fail when you pickpocket an NPC, there will be another tremor. The tremor will move the rock just a little more.
*end cutscene*
22. Try pushing the rock again. This time it'll fall.
Once it lands, there will be a sudden shake of your camera. Then your character will say, "Hm. That sounds just like the rock broke. I better go and check it out!"
Then your screen will go black and will appear down at the ground level of the ruins.
Go near the well's location. There is no water and there are dead sharks everywhere! (Amazing and gross).
Anyway, jump over a bridge and climb down the ladder. There is the Third Fiyre where the rock used to be. NOW IS THE TIME TO PUT ON YOUR DIVING GEAR!
Pick up the Fiyre, but instead of getting the Fiyre, you summon the Fiyre Thief.
He will pop up to you and will talk to you.
_____
Thief: "You have no reason to touch this sacred piece of the gods!"
You: "Oh yes I do! I need this Fiyre to help keep the world from turning into an oblivion!"
Thief: "Why that is preposterous! No one has ever set foot here since Guthix condemned us here!"
You: "What?"
Thief: "Aldesdor has been underwater since the God Wars. Zamorak was mad that the race who lived here had such great building skills."
You: "That doesn't make much sense."
Thief: "I'm not done speaking."
You: "Oh, sorry."
Thief: "Anyway, from the start, Saradomin was bragging about what a great race that HE had made. Zamorak and Guthix where disgusted because Zamorak claimed that this race was his and that no one else made it. Then Guthix was mad because HE made them in the first place, so he destroyed his own creation thus hurting him greatly.
"Although he destroyed them, he couldn't destroy them completely. He had too much of
a heart, so he decided to drown them all and destroy their creations by sending their metropolis underwater. This place goes on forever but all the passageways are blocked by hundreds of years of decay.
"So when Saradomin assigned me to hide the Fiyre, I chose here because this place was obliterated from history and I know that no one would ever dare enter here. Now I must kill you because you know too much and you will defile this sacred armour! Now, are you ready to fight?"
Two options will appear, "Yes," or "No." Yes would begin the fight; the other option will allow you time to come back and fight.
_____
Time to fight this Thief.
Once you killed him, go to the Fiyre and take it.
*cutscene*
After you take the Fiyre, the room with start to rumble. The well will rumble, then a massive wall of water spews up, washing you out of the building.
*end cutscene*
You will be dealt 0 damage. If you didn't wear your diving gear, PUT IT ON! You will have 30
seconds to do that. It is a good idea to take your pres-resist potion.
Aldesdor will be completely gone! All there are is just water zombies, Mogres, schools of assorted fish, sand, and water.
Also, in your chat box will say, "The magic holding Aldesdor in existence is gone" and, "You have angered the gods with your deeds."
22. Now is the time to go to the shore! YAY!
Re: Gielinor's Fiyre - Fiyre #1 to 5
Post by Dragon78114 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 2:56 am
==#^_> IV. The Fiyre Boots <_^#==
The Fourth Fiyre you will be searching for is the Fiyre Boots (for melee and range).
Q&A (read it, it explains a lot and will help you prepare)
Q: Should I bring items to help me along with the quest?
Yes, you should bring four Mithril Minotaur (an Adamant or Rune Minotaur pouch would be better, but the Mithirl Minotaur is the bare minimum to summon) summoning pouches, your pressure resistance potion, knife, 3 vegetable sacks, needle, and some thread.
Q: What fights will I encounter?
A: A level 200 Fiyre Thief, and no Cult Members!
Fighting isn't the goal of this part of the quest though...
--------------------------------------------------------------
1. To begin your search, feel your Demonically Enchanted Key. It will lead you to central Karamja. In more detail, it will lead you north east of the mine that is in the exact middle of the island. It will lead you to a grotto.
2. Enter the grotto. It is short and wide. Continue down until you reach the end with a pedestal with the Fourth Fiyre on it.
3. Go up and try to take it. Of course the Fiyre Thief will pop up and appear, and he will walk up to talk to you.
____
Thief: "Hello there adventurer."
You: "Hi... Why is this Fiyre out in the open?"
Thief: "To give it some air. It needs some to retain its freshness."
You: "Does that make any sense?"
Thief: "Why yes, and you may have it under three conditions."
You: "And they are...?"
Thief: "I'm not going to tell you anything if you are going to be rude."
You: "Excuse me for my rudeness. May I have that Fiyre?"
Thief: "The more you are arrogant; I the more definitely will NOT grant you permission to take this Fiyre."
You: "Sorry, I have been through a lot of pressure lately."
Thief: "I see."
You: "Now what were these three circumstances you were talking about?"
Thief: "Ah yes, to take this Fiyre: you must put the four Shamans to rest forever back in the tunnel, kidnap the settler in the village and bring him here, and finally, bring over a living Horned Graahk for the sacrificial ceremony."
------
You will now have four options in your chat interface. You need to select all to continue with the quest.
The first choice is, "Talk about the Shamans."
The conversation will go as this:
You: "Why do want me to kill those Shamans?"
Thief: "Those were Shamans who were mistaken for the Fiyre being an evil source of magic and them wanting the Fiyre to be destroyed and anything with it like passing the ceremony."
You: "What do you mean by, 'passing the ceremony'?"
Thief: "A simple ceremony where you summon a god's presence in an object, not the actual god itself. Then, the god will decide if your heart is pure enough for you to have the Fiyre Boots."
You: "But that doesn't explain the reason why I have to kill the Shamans!"
Thief: "Yes it does, those Shamans are scared of any godly figure except their own, and will use their magic to send the presence of the god you summoned back to the heavens! They won't stop for any cause until they are dead!"
You: "That makes sense."
Now you'll go back to the original selection from the chat interface. Click, "Talk about the settler."
Then there will be a conversation as follows:
You: "Now what does this settler have to do with the ceremony?"
Thief: "When he moved into Shilo Village, he had brought evil spirits with him from his homeland. He has caused the whole island to suffer with evil spirits."
You: "Oh, and let me guess, we must kidnap him to keep the spirits from over-reacting in the ceremony!"
Thief: "Exactly! You adventurers aren't as stupid as I thought!"
You: "Hey! Now how will I do that?"
Thief: "Simple, knock him out with something without violence, and get a large sack. Put him in the large sack and take him to me."
You: "And how might I get these things?"
Thief: "Didn't you save that strong potion you used to help you survive underwater? Can you sew three vegetable sacks together with some thread and a needle?"
You: "I guess so."
Thief: "Then be off!"
You: "Wait! I have a few more questions!"
Click the option, "Talk about the sacrifice."
The conversation will continue as follows:
You: "So how will I trap a live Horned Graahk without the use of violence?"
Thief: "The Graahk species is actually a non-violent one, but incredibly strong and defensive. As long as you don't tease them, they won't attack you."
You: "So then how will I bring one over here?"
Thief: "Simple. Make a trail of its favorite food that leads into here, then pick it up and put it on the altar."
You: "Won't the Graahk find that annoying?"
Thief: "Not if it is tired from eating and walking."
You: "Ok, so what is its preferred bait?"
Thief: "Live human."
You: "...All right... New subject!"
Now click the option, "You're sick!"
The conversation will continue like this:
You: "You're sick for making me do these sinful actions!"
Thief: "Well aren't you the little pious fool! Saradomin actually was a fan of sacrifice! All the stupid and rich clergymen deny it, but it's true! This is the only known way of summoning a godly presence! This is why no one has ever taken the Fiyre!"
You: "Oh... Sorry. Didn't know that...."
Thief: "I know. Now be off!"
---------
*********
FINALLY your conversation is over! (Phew!)
[You may do this in any order you please, just make sure you get them all completed. This is the recommended procedure.]
>>> Killing the Shamans <<<
In the grotto, there is a very small, black hole on the bottom of one wall that is called, 'Murky Hole.'
Climb under it, and you will be in a room with four prison cells. There is one Broodoo Shaman(level 342) in each cage.
Make sure you have your four minotaur pouches.
Summon one minotaur. Then, pick lock one of the cages. If you fail, you will wind up having the cage casting a random Ancient Magic Spell. It will deal damage 50% and have no after-effect like freezing or poison to you due to your Demonic Doll.
Once you pick the lock, your minotaur will go and fight the Shaman. He will try to cast spells on it, but they do hardly any damage. Repeat this step for all the cages. The shamans will only drop 10 death runes and a Broodoo mask.
Alright you have killed the four Shamans. (YAY! ...not really!)
Leave the little prison and return to the grotto.
>>> The Sacrifice <<<
Now to start the sacrifice (or at least get it ready).
Leave the grotto, and head east to Tai Bwo Wannai Village. Then head a little bit southeast to the shore where the Graahks are.
Go and run around the place until a message in your chat box says, "You have been running around long enough in this heat to produce an atrocious human scent with your sweat."
(Run until 75% of your run energy has been drained. The heavier your items weigh, the quicker it can happen).
Now all you need to do is sit for at least 10 seconds until a message in your chat box will say, "Your stench has attracted a hungry Graahk."
A Graahk will follow you and at times, it will nip at you, causing 5 damage. WALK! If you run, The Graahk will loose interest in you fast and you have to fetch another.
Walk all the way back to the grotto and then the Thief will talk to you.
_____
Thief: "Glad you came back alive! Most adventurers die whenever they do this task, but you survived!"
You: "Yeah, thanks. So how will we keep it here?"
Thief: "I have some chains behind the altar we can put it on. I'll do that while you finish your tasks."
You: "Ok I guess."
Thief: "Here, I'll take the Graahk from you."
*cutscene*
The Thief will crouch up and talk to the Graahk like a puppy and the Graahk will act like a pleased puppy. He eventually chains up the Ghraak to a wall (on the ground).
*end cutscene*
Thief: "Great! Now you need to finish doing those tasks I asked you to do and please bathe or do something to remove your horrid stench!"
Re: Gielinor's Fiyre - Fiyre #1 to 5
Post by Dragon78114 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 3:09 am
>>> The Kidnapping <<<
Now leave the grotto and go to Shilo Village.
Go to the bank, and pull out your sacks, needle, thread, and a knife, and your pressure resistance potion. Use each item (except for the potion) on each other, you'll get a 'Human Sized Bag'
Go east past Yannai Shalika's house, and you will go to a HUGE building complex. Climb up the ladder to go inside it.
Talk to Kaleb Paramaya.
____
You will have four options:
"Talk about Gielinor's Fiyre."
"Talk about the Achievement Diary."
"Buy something"
"Talk about something else."
Click the first option.
----
Kaleb: "You what is funny?"
You: "What?"
Kaleb: "I have an ear-splitting headache and I am very thirsty!"
You: "Well then why don't you take a drink out of your bar?"
Kaleb: "Cheap wine and beer doesn't quench my thirst. I tried it already."
You: "Well I have a certain liquid that can cure a headache and quench your thirst." (if you have the pressure potion)
(If you don't)
You: "Well I have a certain liquid that can cure a headache and quench your thirst. But unfortunately, I don't have it on me."
*end conversation*
~if you do~
Kaleb: "Oh really? Hand it over!"
You: "All right."
A message appears in the chat interface, "You hand Kaleb your Pressure Resistance Potion."
Kaleb: "This potion smells funny. Are you sure this will help me?"
---
You will have 2 options, the first option will only appear if you are wearing the Ring of Charos(a).
"(Charm) Yes! Like all medicine, it smells and looks funny!"
"(Force) Look, drink it or I'll kill you!"
If you choose the first option:
Kaleb: "Good point."
*Kaleb drinks the entire potion and he faints and falls to the ground unconscious.*
If you choose the second option:
Kaleb: "Okay! Please don't! I'll drink it!"
*Kaleb drinks the potion and falls on the ground unconscious.*
_______
Now use the 'Human Sized Bag' on him.
You will get 'Kaleb-in-a-bag' in your inventory.
Walk out of his house and travel back to the Thief.
Once you are back at the Grotto, talk to the Thief.
________
You: "I have everything you needed me to get!"
Thief: "Great! Now we may begin the ceremony! Do you want to start?"
---
You will have two options. "Yes" or "No"
"No" will end the conversation and will allow you to prepare for a fight with the Fiyre Thief.
"Yes" Will continue the quest.
~~~~
(If you said, "Yes")

You: "Let's begin this thaaang!"

Thief: "Don't do that, and all right!"

*Cutscene*
---------

The camera will now be facing you hiding the altar, but you can still see the Thief as he is walking over to the altar.

He will say, "As we gather here today to summon a Godly Presence, we will
sacrifice this gracious beast in favor of our blessed gods!"

The ghost's head will go down and rise again. Your character will automatically use the 'Scared' emote (if you don't have it before, you'll unlock it).

The thief will appear before the altar and the camera will pan to the point where it is facing the altar, and is near the ground.
___________
Thief: "Now please bring up this foul settler to the Altar!"

Your character will walk up to the bloody altar with the dead horned Graahk and will place the 'Kaleb-in-a-bag' on the altar.

Then the Thief will say: "Now we must wait for the Graahk's blood to seep into his body while I recite this holy spell!"

Then, the thief will Saradomin Strike the unconscious Kaleb. He will then have an electrical blue orb surrounding him, it lifts him up high into the air.

Kaleb will speak.

Kaleb: "Who dares to disturb me?"

You: "It is I. I am on a quest to prevent a cult from stealing the Fiyres of Gielinor and destroying the world by summoning a god!"

Kaleb: "What a mighty crusade. Only the purest of hearts shall only touch that armour as it is as sacred as a god."

You: "I understand your grace. I have a firm belief that my heart is the purest of all sorts."

Kaleb: "I can tell that your connection to us is great. Although, most humble adventurers have a great connection to us."

You: "Yes, but I will repent my past sins in favor of You."

Kaleb: "Then that will be. I shall forgive your sins as long as you promise to not recommit those previous sins especially the ones you have committed to seek my presence."

You: "I promise with the passion of a thousand burning suns!"

Kaleb: "Then I grant you permission to wear these boots, as long there is a Holy cause. But to prove that you are truly worthy, you must kill the Fiyre Thief."

Kaleb will cast a spell draining your Thieving level to 0/(your level). Don't worry, It'll regenerate.

Then Kaleb will fall on the altar, unconscious. Don't worry, Kaleb will eventually return back to his bar safe and sound.

The Fiyre Thief will walk up to you.
____

Thief: "Have you not heard Saradomin speak? You must now kill me to prove worthiness!"
____
*end cutscene*

Kill the Fiyre Thief. Once he is dead, go to the altar and take the Fiyre Boots.

YAY! You have the 4th Fiyre!!!

Re: Gielinor's Fiyre - Fiyre #1 to 5

Post by Dragon78114 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 3:14 am

==#^_> V. The Fiyre Gloves <_^#==

The Fifth Fiyre you will be searching for is the Fiyre Gloves (for melee and range).

Q&A (read it, it explains a lot and will help you prepare)

Q: Should I bring items to help me along with the quest?
Yes, you should bring 10 willow logs and a tinderbox.

Q: What fights will I encounter?

A: A level 150 Fiyre Thief and 2 cult members without weapons or armor.

--------------------------------------------------------------

1. Feel your Demonically Enchanted Key; it will eventually lead you to Entrana.

NOTE: You cannot bring any weapons AND armour!

2. Once you are on the island, talk to the Head Monk/Abbot in the chapel.
___

Monk: "May Saradomin bless you."

You: "Yes he may, now I have a question."

Monk: "What do you wish to know?"

You: "Where is the fifth Fiyre?"

Monk: "In the basement of this building. It is guarded by a strange force though."

You: "I'll check it out."

Monk: "Best of luck!"
____

When you walk down the stairs, there will be a cutscene.

*CUTSCENE*
------
Two Cult members are in the middle of a spell, and then they notice you. One quickly teleports away, and another one stays.
------
*end cutscene*

The basement looks very cultured and fancy. Tapestries hang on the walls with depictions of the Saradomin symbols. The floor and walls are marble, it is very dim with a few torches, and the Fiyre is on a marble pedestal with candles around it.

There is a red force field in the middle, and 5 candle stands below it which seem to hold it up.

3. Run up to the cult member and kill her without weapons, armour, and magic. But you can attack her with a bow and arrow, you just need to fletch the weapons and you cannot wield them above the basement.

4. Once you have them out of the way, try to pass the force field, but you will get thrown back and stunned.

5. Head back up the ladder and talk to the Head Monk.
_____

Monk: "Have you managed to break that barrier blocking the Fiyre?"

You: "No, but can you please explain to me how it got there. I seems that it isn't supposed to be there..."

Monk: "The barrier came up a few days ago when we saw a few Zamorakian Priests come from the Law Altar. I don't know how that could happen, but that isn't important. What is important is, is that the altar only allows the truly evil through."

You: "You don't say... I think I just know what to do!"
_____

6. Steal 5 candles from the table filled with them. You might get caught and the gods will smite you, but you won't get damaged the regular '1,' you'll get damaged '5' due to the gods' current opinion of you right now.

Once you have 5 Holy Candles, go down the stairs and place each candle on the candle stands.

The force field will disappear.

7. Go up to the pedestal and take the Fiyre.

The Thief will pop up and immediately attack. This time he is level 150 (level 200 will be too hard, eh?). Once he is out of the way, pick up the Fifth Fiyre.

*CUTSCENE*
----------
The cult member that had escaped comes running in and stuns you with a spell unnoticed! (No hp dealt) He runs up to the Fiyre and grabs it! Then he runs off!

You will then be released from the spell.
----------
*End cutscene*

8. Go back up to the head monk and talk to him.
_____

Monk: "Any news on the Force Field?"

You: "Yep, I removed it."

Monk: "Well that's great!"

You: "No its not..."

Monk: "How so?"

You: "After I killed the Fiyre Thief, an annoying Gielinor's Fiyre Cult Member that ran off came back and stole it from me!"

Monk: "Oh dear, that's not good!"

You: "What where they doing there in the first place??"

Monk: "They were devout followers of Saradomin. How I could I deny them access?"

You: "They are devout followers of every god!"

Monk: "That includes Saradomin."

You: "And Zamorak!"

Monk: "Oh... Good point! How could I be so stupid! Letting *those* Zamorakians in! Oh, I hate myself for that!"

You: "Don't. What I need now is their location!"

Monk: "I saw one fly off with Auguste in his strange 'balloon' just a second ago."

You: "Thank you!"

Monk: "No problem and let Saradomin guide you through your struggles!"
________

8. Go to herbalist in the herb store (if you have 30 willow logs and a tinderbox) and talk to the Herbalist.
____
---------
You will have two options:

"Buy Something"

"Talk about Gielinor's Fiyre."

If you choose the first option, you will have the interface to buy herblore stuff.

If you select the 2nd option, it will further your progress in the quest.
The conversation will go like this:

Herbalist: "Hello friend, what can I assist you with?"

You: "I was just wondering what direction the last balloon took off to."

Herbalist: "I think it went directly north. To Taverly I presume."

You: "Doesn't make much sense, but I believe you. Thanks anyways."

Herbalist: "Alright, come again!"
_______
There happens to be a balloon just waiting for you! YAY! So ride it!

9. Just like in Enlightened Journey quest, you have the first two frames exactly the same as they were in the quest, but once you reach the third, it is a little different...

There is a second balloon towards the end!
Thankfully, it won't move, but you need to catch up to it and ram into the flying machine.

Once you have, you will appear in the creepy spot of land where you crash. Both balloons will be in ruin.

10. Search the balloon furthest to the north and a message will appear in your chat interface saying, "You search the contents of the balloon, and you find the dead cult member, and he has the Fiyre!"

You will now have the Fifth Fiyre in your inventory! YAY!

You can speak to Auguste, but he'll say thank you and his regular speech. Follow the path out and you are complete!
