Pokemon Valley Wii U Empty Pokemon Valley Wii U

Post by MorbiusMonster Sun Oct 06, 2013 9:43 pm

With the upcoming release of Pokemon X and Y, Nintendo have released the "Pokemon Bank" for players who collect a lot of Pokemon. Capable of storing effectively 3000 Pokemon online, for a modest fee (it is announced US players will pay $4.99 per year for the storage, UK and EU players may pay differently), players can also transfer their favourites from Pokemon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 to the storage and transfer them to the newer game, it is an impressive innovation that shadows the likes of Pal Park and the Poketransfer from previous games. Whilst this is a very good idea, it lacks a subtle imagination that has been used in the past for previous storage titles.

This is when Pokemon Valley Wii U comes in. For players who may have difficult using online features or perhaps want to store their Pokemon in a way they can show off to their friends a little better.

Pokemon Valley Wii U Empty How it Works

Post by MorbiusMonster Sun Oct 06, 2013 10:12 pm

When you first play Pokemon Valley Wii U, you'll be taken to the "Arrival Park". Unless you speak to the office here, this is where you will always arrive and all your recently transferred Pokemon and visitors will also arrive here.

On your first play, the ranger, Andreia, will tell you how to transfer your Pokemon. When prompted, she'll ask you to turn on your 3DS and boot up the game you wish to transfer Pokemon from and you can select the Pokemon from your PC boxes, you wish to transfer. When selected, Pokemon transferred will be taken from the game and sent to the valley. You can easily send them back to your game by going back to the office in the "Arrival Park", provided that you use the same game they came from.

Once in the valley, you can talk to your Pokemon, read up on where they were caught, when they joined your party and what moves and stats they have. Once a Pokemon is transferred, you can speak to Andreia again to transfer them to their "specialist area". These areas are specifically designed for a variety of Pokemon as a means of sorting them based on their characteristics, such as type and body shape. For example, Pikachu will be sent to the "Stormy Forest". He shares this area with similar Pokemon such as Raichu, Pichu, Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu and Emolga.

Also, when you're in the office, you can set up who can come to your valley. You can have it open so anyone can come and take a look or just friends. If a player's valley is open to everyone then anyone can visit it either by looking for it specifically at the travel office, run by the travel ranger Alexei, or just "going where the wind takes them".

Pokemon Valley Wii U Empty The Areas of the Valley

Post by MorbiusMonster Sun Oct 06, 2013 10:25 pm

The valley has been built to have a variety of habitats for Pokemon to enjoy. When you first play, the Arrival Park is where you will go to first, but adding specific Pokemon types will unlock more areas. In order to enter a specific area, you will need to have at least one Pokemon that fulfills the conditions required to unlock it. The area will still be accessible if it is empty of Pokemon;

  • Arrival Park - this is the area where all new arrivals, unsorted Pokemon and visitors will be. Here is the head office where you can arrange Pokemon for transfer as well as working on other settings.

There are Five Main styles of habitat for Pokemon;

  •  Forests and grasslands - this area is for Pokemon that live either in open fields or in forests. There is a grassy area designed for each type.
  • Mountains and Crag zones - these places are made for Pokemon that prefer mountain regions and caves. Some areas are covered in snow, whilst others may have active volcanic zones. There is an area designed for each type.
  • Wet zones - More designed for water based Pokemon. When you unlock this zone, your Mii will appear with a wetsuit to speak to the Pokemon here.
  • Manmade zones - Some Pokemon prefer areas that are often used, or disused, by humans. A few old houses, factories and buildings act as new homes for Pokemon here and are preferred by many urban types.
  • Specific zones - this category applies to Pokemon with very specific needs. For example, all baby Pokemon will have the Nursery, Unown will prefer to keep themselves to the Unown Temple and some legendaries like their own space. Unlike other environments, these aren't based on type as much.

Pokemon Valley Wii U Empty Things to Do

Post by MorbiusMonster Mon Oct 07, 2013 6:32 am

The Valley may be more for Pokemon, but you can do things there too! There are a few basic jobs your Mii can carry out, such as delivering berries around the park, but also, the Pokemon may want to play as well. These activities can increase the Pokemon's happiness in their game.

  • Hide and Seek - Some Pokemon will be playful and want nothing more to play hide and seek. A Pokemon will approach you and when you speak to it, your Mii will reckon that they want you play with them. At which point, the screen goes black and when the picture reappears, the Pokemon will be hiding. Find them within 60 seconds and you win the game.
  • Chase - Some Pokemon will want to play chase. They'll approach the Mii and that Mii will reckon the Pokemon wants to be chased. The Mii will then have 60 seconds to catch the Pokemon.

As you unlock more areas, certain rangers will appear and be running mini games for you, and up to three other players, can play. At first, you start with one game in the Arrival Zone and you can gradually earn more through doing tasks around the valley.
