Imma die next term. Honors Analysis, Honors Physics: Waves Optics and Heat, Basic Complex Variables (basically an intro to complex analysis with a really intense but good professor) and my Humanities course.

You know what I don't like about EOC? I used to be able to pick up a month of RS membership, have fun, fuck around, and slay, and then leave when the month was up. Now I don't even know how to play, so it's not even possible. I suspect EOC is a good thing, I just can't play anymore

I feel like the combat academy is good for newcomers, less so for those with already diverse portfolios of weaponry and gear that they no longer know how to use.

I never played Beta. I'd have to risk my gear to learn.

Not really, the gear is still pretty useful - provided you pair it up right. Barrows is still as powerful and some combos are very effective.

I really like the new combat system except when I can't be bothered to sit at my computer... the new combat system isn't compatible with mouse-only laziness. Momentum seems to autocast abilities, but not nearly often enough to make Momentum viable.

Anyway.

For the most part, just put all your Attack/Magic/Ranged abilities on three separate bars. Use basic abilities between attacks to effectively double your attack speed. Use other abilities to taste. Accuracy is still a huge issue - even your ultimate can splash.

All equipment fits into very strict tiers. Level 70 armor will provide the same armor/health rating regardless of class - the only difference is where the bonuses go. The step up from levels is steep. Ganodermic is better melee and ranged armor than Karil's and Verac's, as well as being the best level 75 magic armor - which seems odd, the curve from level 70 to 75 defence shouldn't be so steep that 75 outclasses all of 70.

"Attacking" is your strength against those classes; "Defending" is your ability to dodge those classes (I wish I could say "resist", but RuneScape is still an "accuracy"/RNG system).

Most creatures now have exaggerated weaknesses - so if you're finding that your equipment isn't working, it's possible just because the creature isn't weak to that weapon rather than your equipment now being bad. They've also changed the attack styles of a lot of creatures. Chrome dragons now have magic attacks in addition to firebreath and melee.

Ganodermic Body grants 524 armor rating. As it is magic armor, it grants 524 melee defence (100%), but it also gives 524 magic defence and 163 ranged defence (which is approximately 60:30), and equiping full Ganodermic keeps this 100:60:30 split. "Hybrid" or "All" classified armor will grant all of its bonus to the relevant stats - so Red Cape grants +10 Melee Defending, Magic Defending and Ranged Defending. However, I don't quite understand how it works - Tokkul-Zo says that it only grants 1

Arc 1: Tale of the Bastard

The first section of this story chronicles the life and rise to power of Erik Drakon, later known as Lord Shadowfall, and still later Erikaya d'Vasya. Of course, numerous other storylines are explored, including but not limited to the journeys of Lanara Westhaver and the mistgirl, the political machinations of lady Fiya Caloren. It ends with the coronation of Elya Colossus as Empress of the Realms, and her wedding to Lord Shadowfall, before the two seize control of the upmost council and through it the realm.

Arc 2: The Bastion War

The second part of the story takes place as the empire, under the leadership of the new Empress and Consort, begin to move to take back the long rebellious Bastion provinces. The Consort, growing ever more frustrated, begins to resort to dark measures. Simultaneously, he prepares a secret weapon in the depths of Dakar Prison. Near the end of this arc, the empress is assassinated, the Consort is crowned as Emperor and begins a horrifying campaign of bloody war, revealing his true colors and smashing the Bastion resistance.

Arc 3: The Fall

In the farthest east, behind walls of golden stone, the Sunlit lands are astir. They have seen the darkness rising in the Imperium, and a young champion has arisen. Allying with the men of the steam kingdoms, they support a rebellion against the high cities of the mist world. The Emperor and his ally, the new Commander of Dakar prison, seek to unleash the powers of the Nullity and unmake creation.
