Damage Types
Just some ideas to make combat a little more interesting
Stun: Chinchompas, Magic, and Crush attacks may stun an opponent...this is a normal stun
Numbness: Ice spells will now cause you to not see some of the damage dealt to you until it's to late (so it would seem like you were getting lucky but then the extra damage would all flow out)
Nerve Damage: Stab, Slash, Ranging and Magic may now cause you to fumble and lose a turn of combat or slow your weapon speed
Sear: Fire, Smoke, Chinchompas, and Salamanders amy cause you to unwield metal weapons and armour if pack isn't full
Adrenaline: Powerful slashes on you may lead to a strength increase + numbness
Feel Free to Suggest others as well

Re: Damage Types
Ummm... don't know a shorter word, but when hit with an air spell, you could get the 'Air-Knocked-Out-Of-You'
Water-Logged - get hit by water spells/water related stuff.
Choking? Earth spells?

Re: Damage Types
I wouldn't say "Stun" is a damage type... Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Narture, Shadow, Stab, etc, are damage types. Stun, in your context, if the effect of certain damage types. But it's a possible idea...
Re: Damage Types
3mpty...this is really beginning to piss me off
Comment on my idea! Don't just always start with grammar and syntax correction

Ideal Comment wrote: Seems interesting but might need a little bit of work to amek sure you don't overpower the various types of attack
PS: these are more effects than "damage types"

Re: Damage Types
It's constructive because the title is the first thing anyone reads about an idea... you are trying to sell "Damage Types" to people, but you're not suggesting what I think is damage types and that is my criticism. I then suggested an alternative, which is the constructive part.
I always put the criticism before the appraisal because appraisal - why can't you realise that rather than complain that I do it that way? When I read a thread on the forums I always have the post open next to it and I comment on it as a go through - it makes more sense to do it that way round as it's chronological. After I get to the end of the thread (ie, the end of the comments on the thread) I write my opinion on the idea and whether I support. I could paste that before everything else, but I don't.

Re: Damage Types
That would be okay...if that was how you actually responded to this post...instead you gave em one syntax correction ane three noncommital words on the ACTUAL IDEA!

Re: Damage Types
But that is how I did it. The first thing I saw was the title, I commented on it, then I appraised the idea. I'm sorry if saying the idea has potential wasn't good enough for you.
I'm actually confused that you respond to me commenting on your word-choice in that way, to be honest. If use of words is the only negative comment I could make about this idea, then that's a good thing, is it not?
When I suggested to change the named of Zaros' Statuette I received comments about how pointless the rant was and that Jagex has far better things to be doing. But I replied saying that if a name is all I could find wrong with the update then isn't it a good thing? I'm sorry that I don't riot and rant about changes to the game that aren't actually bad, and all I complain about is word use.

Re: Damage Types
We should make another thread on that one, the examine is still wrong
Anyway Dark, I don't get your ideas, is it types or effect?

Re: Damage Types
I usually find fault in my own ideas, I just normally edit them out quietly. I find it odd that few notice the change, though.
