3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
First topic message reminder :
3mptylord vs Slayer Noir: Race to80 90
Target: bgcolor=#556B2F
Max: bgcolor=#336699
Spoils of War
My suggestions that made the game:
Ashes the WASTE of a Demon, by Psychoboy8
• Synopsis: Ashes can be scattered for prayer XP, and graded by difficulty to obtain.
• Result: Impious, Accursed and Infernal Ashes, all scatterable.
Prayer Is Insulting, by Psychoboy8
• Synopsis: An expansive thread for creating a fairer Prayer skill: a Zamorakian prayerbook, Zamorakian and non-melee armour providing a prayer point bonus, etc.
• Result: The Ancient Curses prayerbook contains some conceptually similar effects to the Zamorakian prayerbook. This thread isn't closed.
Non-Player Quests/Fiction Within Fiction, by Psychoboy8
• Synopsis: A feature that allows players to assume the play of other characters to add background/depth to their story. Or even to remain as yourself in stories that would not be possible in "real life".
• Result: The Fremennik Sagas, three NPQs that take the player (in the shoes of various NPCs) into Daemonheim
Minor tweaks:
• Renaming the Zarosian Statuette.
• General Graador now drops Ourg bones (with hindsight I'm not proud of this).

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
I think today, for the first time, I looked at your stats and was genuinely worried you could beat me.
I'd better get a move on.

Did you actively leave the slayer group or does it do it automatically when you log out?

Progress:
+5 ranged

+1 summoning
God damn Slayer is slow experience. I've gotten 5 ranged levels and 1 slayer levels...
Also, Skeletal Wyverns! OMG! 100 red charms at least.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Why are Suqah's classified as a hard task? (quantity you're assigned)
They have a terrible hit rate even against ranged gear, and I 4-hit the first one I killed before it even damaged me.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Am I weird for wanting to put TzHaar on my slayer-ignore list on the grounds of I don't like killing them for lore reasons? I don't want them to be in enternal torment.
Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Progress:
+2 Constitution
+4 Ranged
+1 Slayer
It's depressing that at level 80 I'm getting Constitution levels faster than Slayer...

I'm going on holiday tomorrow. He'll probably beat me.
If he does, I'll accuse him of botting, real world trading and playing the squeal of fail.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
I would rather buy skins on League of Legends than buy 10 spins on RuneScape.
Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Progress:
+1 Smithing
+1 Magic
+The Clockwork Syringe
+Within The Light
+Nomad Requiem
I took me like 1mil's worth of Saradomin Brews and Restore Potions (from 5 attempts). I used flasks the last 3 times... I decided that dropping the vials wasn't working for me.
The last 2 attempt I only failed because of RuneScape's piss-poor interface. First time I just lost... second time was because I went out of range just before he used his Soul Blast, so he blinked right next to me and then hit me with it from behind the pillar. The two times before I won: both times I managed to click behind him instead of on him due to his hitbox not supporting that fact he moves. Ran straight across the vortexes.
Scape shall not have movement and attacking on the same button.
*so happy*
P.S. Vanstrom is still my favourite boss, and the boss I feel deserves to be called the most difficult. Nomad is only hard because he can one-hit you... and the Pest Queen is only hard because she requires more than an inventory's worth of food in order to tank her. If Nomad did less damage, then he'd be on-par with Vanstrom for requiring the most SKILL to defeat.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Nomad was pretty damn easy to kill with the tortoise-kyatt switch imho. As was the pest queen. Kyatts slice and dice like aint nobody's business.

For me he died before I even got half-way through my tortoise. But I agree, when Nomad's hitbox stopped moving just as I went to click on him he was easy as hell.

Meh, you probably had higher ranging than I did.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Hunter bots (at the falcons) are stupid.
I also never realized that people actually used bots for personal use. I guess it makes sense, but I'd never thought about it. This guy came back after half an hour of me trolling his bot, and flamed me as if I was being stupid. I was like... "Dude, I was controlling you. There is no way in hell you were a person the whole time, either that or you're just really, really slow in the head."
Basically he was hunting find until he drifted to where I was training. Then he kept trying to pick up mine. He then went and gave his falcon back (I'm guessing there's some sort of condition in the code wherein if you fail to "loot" X times it assumes you're falcon has been recalled). He then ran back to me, and proceeded to keep trying to steal my kebbits (he had no falcon at this point). The condition fired again, and he ran and re-retrieved a falcon. He then hunted for a while north of me, but I intentionally caught one near him while I assume he was dropping, and he just ran at it.
I then spent 5 minutes playing fetch with him, making him run all the way across the field (even out of sight, sometimes).
I'm guessing there's no code that specifically states if the falcon on the ground is yours or not (although, even if that's true, I don't see how it would be so hard to check if you have a falcon in your hand or not...).

HA!
You're not finished
Though I am miles and miles behind you now...
Oh, and nice work trolling the bots. That made me lol.

*shrugs*
Hunter is boring.
I also just started working nights and my sleeping schedule is shot.

Well, stage 3 has begun and I've made a cube move on the screen. It gave me a headache.
