I'm "Retiring"
I've decided to retire from this forum/group/thing/conglomerate. I'm just not feeling it anymore. I feel like we're becoming just a childish immature bunch who bickers over the semantics of a skill, causes an entire thread on said skill to devolve into random utterances, etc. I'm just not feeling it anymore. Where's the rush of ideas? The flow of discussion? Maybe this is just the wrong place for me?
I also have to air two small grievances.
- Honestly...this jublex filter is stupid, immature, unprofessional, more stupid, and more immature, it just seems like the wrong message to send to any visitors and symbolizes the degeneration of this place
-Really? You have to create a secret forum for you members of the TST to seek refuge from us non-TST scumbags? do we even have that many people?

It is a joke on the unnecessary "update" to the official RuneScape forums.

I'll be sorry to see you go, Dark. Any chance you'll reconsider?

Re: I'm "Retiring"
I was only here for a day and I see someone leaving already? How depressing...
Honestly, with the trouble on the official runescape forums, the community will be looking for some refuge. That's the only reason I came here and I'm sure I won't be the last. You already have seniority, you could be the head of that community.
Regardless of how long I was here, judging from your posts you would have been the kind of person that I'd have enjoyed sharing a forum with... it's a shame.

This is highly unusual...I will probably taper off over the week and may come back in several months...

Are you heading back to the official Runescape forums, Dark? Or are you going to try for another site altogether?

Re: I'm "Retiring"
I wish you the best of luck wherever you find yourself. It's unfortunate that you feel arguments are negative - the best ideas come from arguments. The moment we stopped arguing nothing happened.
As for the shortage for creative juices... we're still the same people. We need fresh blood.

It's not immature or unprofessional. A lot of players on the RCF call Jublex "Jamflex". You haven't ever really been on a forum where they wordfilter things... have you? I can't really explain it.- Honestly...this jublex filter is stupid, immature, unprofessional, more stupid, and more immature, it just seems like the wrong message to send to any visitors and symbolizes the degeneration of this place
It's not being used... it's still empty. Jeez. There's only three members of the TST who are even regularly active on here. I even said in the registration thread that it was just an example of how Jublex could have done it.-Really? You have to create a secret forum for you members of the TST to seek refuge from us non-TST scumbags? do we even have that many people?
Re: I'm "Retiring"

I'm guessing I had something to do with your decision right? I'm really going to be sorry to see you go, and I apologize if I caused you to leave. Oh yes, before I forget, 3mpty, why do you have the weird filter?

Re: I'm "Retiring"
Everyone on the forum a while back was calling Jagex "Jublex". Aside from swearing we didn't really make use of the filter, and wordfilters are fun elsewhere, so it was decided it'd be a neat idea. I don't know why we used Jublex... probably the same reason why players on the RCF make up random names all the time - Jamflex, etc. It's a sign of respect and endearment that you (a) honour them a nickname and (b) don't wish to disrespect their actual name.
Also the fact that it's a wordfilter makes it light-hearted and immature - which is good. Jagex released one with the notes that when you said "AYBABTU" it would wordfilter to "ORLY?". It's fun whilst being completely ridiculous. Especially when new players discover there is one in the first place... at first panicing and thinking they must've typo'd, and so on.
Unfortunately, Dark's never liked it.
