Here's a good one, on the topic of Pokemon...
When Ash died in the first Pokemon film, and Pikachu was crying and trying to make him wake up. I cried so much. First and second time I watched it. Blush

That was exactly the example I was going to say!

Also, in Toy Story 3 at the very end. I'm not going to spoil anything for anyone, but there is not a soul alive who can watch the ending scene of that movie and not cry.

I welled up and probably would've cried if I wasn't slightly lol'ing at my mate next to me who was obviously crying and trying to wipe his glasses. Tongue

I've cried twice in Doctor Who... during the first season when Rose's dead lets himself die, and during the second when Rose "dies" (before I realised she wasn't actually dying). Wink

I've nearly cried at Doctor Who as well, the Waters of Mars as each member of crew falls to the Flood.

I reread the end of books for that tingly feeling of sadness and happiness

...I have a few great examples but I don't wanna spoil anything for anyone reading Wheel of Time.

Lirael being saved by her dog Cry

Raistlyn saving tasslehoff at the end of the chronicles trilogy in Dragonlance

Lupin, Tonks, and Fred...

...um...that last surge of everything alive, the falling tree, and the doctor dying in transfer in Avatar

It sounds like a huge piss-take of adventure films. Tongue

Agrees with Jeeves, Toy Story 3 is sad!

The ending of His Dark Materials trilogy, damn that was sad!

(Does Lirael get saved by a dog? (That Lirael?) Damn, I need to re-read those books)

EDIT: Should really start on book 4 of you know what. (It took some time to get the right version, the one with the simple front-page, to fit with the rest of the set)

I know. I meant... from what she was saying it sounds like a piss take of adventure films (and books, I guess).

The way it was "You, and you, and some other guy, but no-one more, and one of you will die..." Tongue

but it's Thom and Moiraine. And Moiraine is the queen badass, and it's really not even the plot that gets me, it's the fact that this is one step closer, the penultimate step in fact, to the end of an amazing series and the crowning jewel of an amazing author's legacy.

I guess I should be honest.

There are several moments in the Lord of the Rings movies that made me cry the last time I saw them (fairly recently). I don't really know why... well, maybe I do. It was the first time I had seen the movies since reading the book (all of them except for Children of Hurin, which I stopped in the middle of cause it's SO DEPRESSING), and I guess it was just overwhelming to see what's going on and understand it fully in context...something like ethat.

I cried during Toy Story 3 as well - when they all hold hands, and Buzz and cowboy-girl share that look...AAAAAHHHH I can't even help myself.

Ooh, Dark Avorian, I'm in the middle of the Wheel of Time myself - about to finish A Crown of Swords. I'm going through the series very slowly, because Jordan's writing style irks me considerably. I can only read the books in small chunks.

I haven't watched Toy Story 3, so you're not alone Blaze! Well, that'll depend on how long I take to watch it ^^

I agree... Almost every thread in here has the Wheel of Time in it somehow, which is quite agitating if you can't read the books...
