Pfft, Knightmare's scarier. It's a world without any of those things. God that'd be boring... Wink

In summary, the True Nightmare is the creature the Nightmare becomes when the Torn Realm has begun to extend across the world and when it nears its completion.

The last time this happened was during the God Wars and the whole world, save for Arzonus, was oblivious to it.

Does the True Nightmare have an embodiment?

I'm not sure about the final boss. There may be something bigger, but not nearly as threatening.

The True Nightmare hasn't a written or illustrated description, the memory found is vivid enough, but limited. What it describes is a great robed creature. Too large red eyes, clawed hands and a larger third arm appearing to me made from antimatter. The two swords it clutches formed from dark crystal and can erradicate almost all they touch. Large masses of rock, crystal and darkmatter orbit the body as a vortex of power, acting a shield for most attacks.

Standard attacks have no effect on the True Nightmare, only a few weapons can destroy it. The trident of light was able to pierce its body.

Personal opinion, sounds kind of boring to be frank, except for the idea of an orbiting shield, I like that. The rest is kinda... meh, red eyes, robes, super-ownage swords...

But hey, what do I know?

I was not asking for his appearance, only that he has a physical manifestation/consciousness. So long as he does, the Knightmare is stronger and capable of defeating the True Nightmare without much effort.

I emphasise defeating because it doesn't destroy nor kill.

I knew what I wanted to make, but there were few means of describing it. It has a large black hole behind it, representing the antimatter part.

Antimatter is essentially an opposite ain't it? Like a negative image?

No, antimatter would look exactly like normal matter if it was in a vacuum, held away from matter and light shined on it. Or if it somehow had a thin energy shield around it separating it from matter. But if it came into contact with matter annihilation would be instantaneous and catastrophic.

Also, while black hole <=/=> antimatter, blackholes could theoretically be formed of antimatter (although in our matter dominated universe that is incredibly unlikely, as an matter that fell into it would annihilate a portion of the antimatter within it, making it smaller.)

Antimatter would only annihilate matter that are opposite but equal kind of thing... like, antihydrogen and hydrogen. Antihydrogen and helium wouldn't do much...? I may have completely misunderstood what little I've learned of it. Tongue

I quite like its description actually. It's appearance might sound a little cliché, but unless I've heard wrong, it's an embodiment of fear, and those attributes are well-recognised as being frightful and hostile.
Perhaps an appearance that is universally recognised as scary is best when trying to portray fear itself.
