What do you think is Saradomin's story?

(I'm not asking for your opinion of his role as a god, or how he's regarded within one of your suggestions; just what you think his story is.)

Other than one he's lied about, and how he is a total prat? I wouldn't know.

3mpty's Rendition;

Saradomin was a high-ranking leader within Zaros' empire and ambassador of the Hallowland. He was popular with the people (particularly humans) and the Icyene were a valuable force in Zaros' army.[1]

In Zaros' conquest south into Kharidia, Zaros soon found warlords he favoured to Saradomin, and soon Saradomin found himself subservient to Zamorak. Under Zamorak's advice, Saradomin saw Zaros become malevolent and tyrannical - favouring unnecessary wars over peace. [2]

However, Saradomin the Wise would not be defeated by living corpse and set about the events that would lead to Zaros' downfall - hoping Zamorak's death in the process, or at least fatigued enough for Saradomin to finish with him personally. He convinced Valdez, an explorer, on a venture into neighbouring elven territory with hopes to reprise a lost artefact; he spread word of a valuable jewel knowing Rennard, a renown thief, would journey west and intersect Valdez on his return home. Rennard sent the staff with Kharrim to Zamorak, and the rest is history. [3]

Meanwhile, of course, Saradomin was busy convincing Zamorak that a rebellion was needed - that Zaros was weak and that he, Zamorak, should rule the kingdom[4]. Saradomin trusted to Zamorak his most prized possession, as a symbol of trust, the Eye of Saradomin - which granted Saradomin the ability to see the consequences of his actions before he made them (perhaps excluding the gods, whom would be immune to confines of fate)[5].

When the time came, Saradomin had no idea that the stone possessed such power and that it would aid Zamorak, in not only defeating Zaros, but becoming a god. Together with Armadyl, and others who had arrived only too late to save Zaros, Saradomin banished Zamorak from this plain - leaving Zaros' vacant throne in his command.[6]

It was a time of anarchy. Humanity pitted with Saradomin, who promised them utopia - and war began against the usurpers (including demons, wolfkind and the mahjarrat). The vampyre, who were mere hired gun; disappeared into the shadows until the time came to claim their reward and strike the Hallowland.[7]

Zamorak soon returns, and all hell breaks loose.[8]

[1] I just feel Saradomin too quickly converted a large amount of Zaros' population for him not to have already been in their mind.
[2] Explaining Saradomin's hatred for Zaros; he was betrayed, replaced, undermined, etc.
[3] Just me incorporating Saradomin into the story, I didn't actually change it though.
[4] Getting Saradomin indirectly involved in the plot.
[5] Trying to give some explanation why the stone is known by Eye of Saradomin, and then trying to give some explanation as to why it's the "eye" in particular-- sight, you know.
[6] We know Saradomin helped banish Zamorak, along with "other gods". Or, I think we know. Or is that just a lot of hearsay? Ah well.
[7] We don't really know what happens here, but it's always been implied Drakan isn't aligned with Zamorak - so why would he stick around to feel the brunt of everyone's reaction. Of course, it's also implied that the Vyre are icyene-converts... so if the majority of his known force was acquired much later than Zaros' downfall, who exactly went to battle? Perhaps Drakan is the last surviving (along with his children) of the vampyre race - the others of whom were Zamorakian, and causatives of the war.
[8] Rounding it off.
