[P] Geography
First topic message reminder :
As I envision it Pallis is a land half formed of nearly barren rock and huge mountains, while the rest is covered in lush forests and the few seas.
GEOGRAPHYfor the discussion of Pallis various geographical features, overall structure, composition etc.

Re: [P] Geography
what about making the small things bigger.. so that you may see what it is
anyway awesome update I just L O V E the little description under the map, just need to... do it bigger ;D so you may read it ;D its a bit, blury...
now we just need some.. forests. maybe making it around the mountains, at least on the "Dwallowian" side. then we need the names of the mountains.. as now we may call it "Western Pallis Mountains" "Center Pallis Mountains" and "southeast pallis Mountains" idk if you mentioned any names of the mountains..
what if the center mountains could be called " Orseranth " : D I just want to name one of them ;D or Seraphim. again, great and even, speachless, more great job 3mpty...

Re: [P] Geography
Demonym of Dwallow is Dwallish, not dwallowian.
Click on it, it gets bigger.
I think naming the mountains is a bit further down the line, but good ideas!

Re: [P] Geography
or sry Dwallish.. it didnt get bigger for me.. must try it again.. hmm nope it doesn't work for me to make it bigger than it is... only to right-click and "zoom" its making it even worse though.
well all naming is a later task... just need to make the basics

Re: [P] Geography
When I click on it it takes me to DeviantART, which it's bigger and gives you the option to view the full image. That not working for you?
Re: [P] Geography
OMG I <3 THIS!
That Grassland area is (partially) the Protectorate, Alazor is in the middle of the mountains in that corner.
Um...I think there should be some polar ice since Pallis will be if anything colder than the lower world

Re: [P] Geography
I still don't like the mountains. Drawing mountains suck... since it's a 2D image, and mountains are depth.
Re: [P] Geography

That doesn't leave much Dwallish land not under Protectorate control.

to make it short, made a concept art --> https://suggestionteam.forumotion.net/pallis-the-other-world-f35/p-indigenous-t718-130.htm#16764

Re: [P] Geography
Alternate dimensions would not appear on the world map?

Re: [P] Geography
But there are outposts and portals that would. Where Sol gather in large numbers (large for Pallis would be more than a dozen) are believed to be gateways to other dimensions.

Re: [P] Geography
I divided the map into 36, and I did 5. Then my computer just ceased to work, and I had to reset. I'm back to 2.
Re: [P] Geography
perhaps there is a large crater or two or a few somewhere? and most of the cracks radiate from it?

Re: [P] Geography
I'd imagine cracks would be caused by the general inflexibility of a portion of the crust that thick and it's interaction with other forces.

Re: [P] Geography
So these cracks radiate magical energy that has been flowing under the crust of Gielinor?

Re: [P] Geography
Yes.
When I came up with the whole Stone of Jas planet, I pictured that at some point the planet cracked and the cracks are just impact lines from the hole that is the lower world.
Some time later when reading up on the RS Wiki and seeing the bit about the Fist of Guthix, I theorised that Guthix whacked the stone on the ground in anger to try and make it work. The impact broke the stone. I pictured that the stone and planet were quantum entangled (I think I'm using that right, stolen phrases hehe) and that breaking one would break the other. The fact the two are connected is possibly the reason it broke in the first place... your hitting something with itself - a paradox style explosion. Either way, both now have the appearance of a half-covered sphere.
Oh yeah, completely forgot to mention the point... the layer under the crust is magical, so magic would be radiating through any cracks. The mantle is also why Pallis is otherwise magicless... it provides insulation. Well, conventionally magicless.
