US Television Schedule

I don't know about you guys, but the apparent irregularity of it really bugs me. Or am I just spoiled with regular television slots? Or am I just lucky and it's not usually the case and I just happen to like the ones that are?
Family Guy, Cleveland Show, American Dad, Vampire Diaries (don't ask, Mum got me into it), Futurama, Big Bang Theory... There can be anything between a day and a month between episodes.

Um...as far as I know, most shows are on at the same time every day/week?

It's not just the uploaders, here's a sample of Big Bang Theory according to Wiki: March 10th, March 21st, April 7th and April 28th (awwh, I'm gonna have to wait 'til the 28th!).

That would be why then, the people uploading them are much less reliable than the broadcasters.

People uploading them are quite reliable, and there are multiple uploaders. Even if one went down, it would still be uploaded by someone else.
I do check Wikipedia when I remember, the "Original air date" is irregular.

Also, they take breaks...It's pretty common.

Wait, are you talking about the wait time between new episodes airing or the wait time between *any* episode airing?

Well, all the shows I've ever watched air new episodes regularly (stuff like LOST, Amazing Race, Survivor), but I don't know if that's just because they're the exceptions?
