Mythics: General Discussion

Post by Dragon78114 on Tue Mar 22, 2011 2:33 am

First topic message reminder :

Although it is established, it might be good to have this discussion started if it pops up again.

Also, this thread will be for discussing the plot of this uber-sweet quest.

Scratch the cloak section for a while. Tongue

I'm going to try and write a section of Mythics' tonight. I could, even, write the entirely of the quest excluding task segments. The in-between parts and possibly even the final fight sequence including the section with the Chronarch's throne. Smile

I'm not as hopeful. Wink

Also, by tonight, I most likely mean by tomorrow. I'll write it now and on the train. Dang I wish I had a laptop. Oooh, I get some student loan on the April 23rd and uni's pretty much already finished (it's only exams now). I might invest in a laptop. I was gonna wait until September and that lot of loan, but that's the start of an active term and probably doesn't make sense given I have the summer loan practically for nothing except squandering. Perhaps you could use the cloak from the ghostly robes you collect, or at least build upon the Ghostly Robes miniquest? Tongue

Yes, relating to the Shadow Series could work. Smile

Has it really been a year? Shock

Very Happy This is most excellent news! Of course, there are quite a few pages of nonsense to look back through to try and find the important parts of the quest again...

most of it is how we are going to set up the plot and the time travel thing...which is going really nowhere.

I'm beginning to forget nearly everything about this quest. Sad Which is a shame because it was fairly fantastic back in the day.

yeah..I think time has passed. I mean with all these combat updates, I don't think this is possible anymore? Maybe? I'm too lazy to update my Axar thread AND I have moved on to a new topic [which I want to unveil in another thread and it isn't as long as Axar!]. I think we could either rekindle our idea or toss for another. I think it served its time well for its time and the game has since evolved.... Sigh

I think the primary we know too much of Guthix's lore now for Durial's motivation to make sense. I think it's more a case of the quest has become outdated by lore.

hm.... I guess I need to catch up on Guthix mythology!

Could we update Durial's motivation, or is it best to give this quest a permanent break?

I'd prefer to think of it as an indefinite hiatus. Wink

Aye, that's how most of my quests have ended up. Tongue Either made obsolete by lore or the new mechanics.

Well we could make new ideas. I'm certainly thinking about putting my toe back in the water of RS suggestions. Though I still have to work on the lore and the combat system. lol
