Is there really a problem here? Who the hell's gonna wield it, it has no stats. I'd be annoyed if it was actually good for anything, but people are going to walk around with it for a few days at most then get tired of it.
At least this is one missfit idea that can quickly blow over. Neutral

they can also be planted on the ground anywhere, they then sit there until ... well probably they dissappear at a game reset, but if you logout it stays there

According to the wikia, other players can pick them up if they are on the ground. So I could steal one? Or can I not keep it? And if another player takes mine, how would I go about getting it back?

I don't like the idea simply because I'm not able to go to the event. Almost no american can, and if you actually buy tickets to fly to a runescape convention... well there is something to be said there. To all the folks who live within 1000 miles of there, by all means buy your tickets and get the item.. but that's to the exclusion of the rest of the world. Sad

I am quite disappointed that jagex has begun a 'mico-transaction' service. [they can claim 'free all they want' does not change the face that money was exchanged for an item]

I find the object unattractive to look at, and most people will just turn and say "it's a nerd's item". I'd go to the event, but they aren't running anything in event related with writing, art or communities. How can they do that when the community makes the biggest part of RuneScape?!

Back to the flagstaff, it's hideous.
