[P] The Overview: Pallis
My source of inspiration for the Upper World (starting from the begining, and all that); The Overview: Pallis
The base thread for discussion on Pallis.
Actually, that's not 100% true. When I first came up with the idea, my memory of the Stone was false. I had it in my head that the raised section was only partial--covering a much less than half segment. However, being half-n-half is just as awesome.
The only issue that's been itching in the back of my mind is that I have no reason why landmass in the lower world formed - or rather why it formed as it did. Ah well.
Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
1. the picture is NICE! is that the creation of Pallis? or didn't I understand the text that well.. hmm...
someone was playing with you? or it is the "shell" idk, thoughts only.
the half-n-half is really awesome, it couldn't be better .. now we just need to figure out your philosophy of how life began...

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
I came up some interesting information related to the Stone. 3mpty should take perhaps one moment to credit it me for it.

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
"credit it me for it" makes no sense, and I cannot reword it to make sense.
"credit me for it" implies you've already given me the information and I've decided to use it, I cannot credit you for something I've (a) not heard and (b) not used.
And that was the only rewording I could come up with.

so.. take it easy and let's try to figure out our further discussions over this topic...
...

Morbius, I refuse to degrade myself and argue on that level.
3mpty has been blabbering about the Barrenlands since before I knew him. I'm currently looking for his post/thread on the Wight Gate

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
That was back when it was only a small segment of the land.
I don't see why I would have to credit you even if you did come up with the moon idea before my idea... it's completely unrelated. Mine's the planet itself...
(note that the blue "Wight Gate" is just the forum's search feature highlighting the search)
(I love how even back then I was making the BARONland typo)

I just realized something. We can adapt our quests to fit this world.

Ooh. Maybe when the planet cracked, creating the two world of two halves in the first place, some of the earth fell back. Or maybe Guthix brought it from the sky to make land, and fashioned the rest into the moon (sort of similar to how it's believed our moon exists).
I've always fascinated myself over the idea that the stone and the planet as sort of... mutually existing. So maybe it was actually the stone that cracked, but the planet suffered the consequences also. Maybe Guthix cracked the world? But that would kind mean the Forerunner existed in the last 10000 years, which I suppose is fine, but it means the dwallow came to be in a recorded time period... which means we'd probably have to come up with some reason.
Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
maybe the elders was making the planet.. then it was cracked, and guthix made the one half, but the other half was still untouched and unbroken... then something happens, the lake was shaped,
The Forerunners came to the other world (Barrenlands) and was developed a pumpdevice to give water for the inner-continent. The Ancient structure is still here, pumping water from the lake to the land so it can be grown nature around.
The Dwallows, the humanlike people came to Barrensland from another realm.. (such as the Mahjarrats?), they came from the northeast of barrenslands and searched for water to settle down, they found the ancient device the Forerunners left behind
The Morguls, the trolls... came somewhere from to barrenlands, or they've just been there for all time... like a joke then they just got the intelligance and start to grow in numbers..

Oh...do we really have to tie this with an ever increasing number of strings to gielinor? Guthix, the stone?

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
I'm not really succeeding in the isolation from RuneScape, I still get it in my mind that RuneScape is below.
Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
I just get the image that runescape is on the other side..
Pallis-( )-Runescape...
or do you mean like, pallis is more or less "heaven" or Runescape as "hell" ?

Re: [P] The Overview: Pallis
if we're planning it to not have something with Gielinor to do, we may have to go one step further and make a own game of it (if we're making a own planet(own world) of it)
still it could be like
or something like that ;D
still it could be like
Barrenlands:
The other side of
Runescape
The other side of
Runescape
or something like that ;D
