Quests these days are screwed. Since they've "done it all before", all the hardest quests just feature "bad-ass" bosses, rather than a decent play experience.
A level 599? That's just pathetic, they've given in with making a more interesting boss, so they load it up with steroids.

I'm looking forward to the boss ^^ I'm training mage right now, craft is next and then I'll get the bloody sword which I've lusted after since I first set eyes on Korasi.

well... looks like I give up on the quest cape. -.- My range level is still 65 and my mage level is only 66... yeah.... I may never reach those required levels!

Heh, my reaction too. Got to 78 mage on Friday, should get 80 by the end of this week.
It's been ages since I've been inspired to really train - it's fun! Really fun. A good reminder of how dangerous RuneScape can be. Achieving goals is very addicting.

I did the quest a few days after it came out - just had to get 4 Firemaking levels 
To be honest, the Boss actually isn't bad. It a really new fighting experience. Nowhere near as hard as Nomad, but it still takes concentration. The fact that you get allies, which you need, makes for a new, different boss fight, that almost simulates fighting with a team.

Agreed. The boss was much easier than Nomad (although I shudder to think the mincemeat I would've been sans Kyatt)
