Shadows of Mort' ton
Here is the quest that goes with my Shadows of Mort' ton minigame.
Quest Length – Short
Quest Difficulty - Intermediate
Requirements:
Herblore - 20
Crafting - 40
Construction - 40
Attack - 40
Prayer - 40
Firemaking - 20
Another Slice of H.A.M
Shades of Mort’ ton
Darkness of Hallowvale
Underground Pass
Demon Slayer
Shield of Arrav
Wanted!
The minigame after the quest is NOT safe.
To start - Speak with Razmire Keelgan (must be un-afflicted)
Razmire is frantically searching everywhere in his house, as well as trying to survive the afflicted and shades attacks. He seems worried…
Razmire says that they discovered where the shades are coming from! An underground altar beneath Burgh De Rott is filled with the vile creatures.
“You must talk to all of the royalty you know, we need reinforcements,” he says.
Talk with King Roald in Varrock. He refuses, not wanting to help the afflicted. The White Knights of Falador and Ardougne’s king say the same thing.
Return to Keelgan, and he says all is lost. Their last hope is with the Myreque. The Myreque respond, “There is nothing you can do except try to rebuild the altar yourself.”
Go down a new ladder on the east side of Mort’ ton. Travel a ways until you find a huge cavern. Run over to the ruined altar in the middle. After inspecting the ruins, you see that the altar has nothing to burn.
Talk with Keelgan and he gives you instructions to make fire potion. Get a Toadflax, a vial of oil (use swamp tar on the machine in Rimmington), and coal. Use a pestle and mortar on the coal and toadflax, then add them to the potion.
Put the fire potion on an altar bless it.
Take the holy fire potion to the altar in the cave and dump it in. A cut scene shows you running out of the cavern, hundreds of monsters chasing you.
Talk to the Myreque again and they tell you that they have blocked the entrance. There is no way back in unless you break in from a different part.
Talk to a Cave Goblin in Dorgesh-Kaan. It will speak to the higher authorities and find you a way into the cave. Speak to it again.
Watch the cut scene of you being brought down a long, dimly lit passage. When you hit the end, the goblin says to move the boulder in front of you. Do this and walk into the room.
Run from all of the creatures and open the entrance on the other side. Talk to the Myreque and Keelgan again. They say the things you need to rebuild the altar.
Run back with friends, swamp paste, timber beams, limestone bricks, and a tinderbox. Build the temple back to 25% sanctity and light the fire. Congratulations, you complete the quest.
