Anonymalia

North of Miscellania and Etceteria lies the kingdom of Anonymalia. The island is a mass of fields and hills, with only a small town nestled on the lake's edge and a ancient castle towering over a cascading waterfall. The whole island is deserted and lifeless... well, save for the odd forest troll or giant newt.
The castle is dank, decaying and seemingly abandoned in hurry. That is except for the peculiar condition of all the artwork and decor. The many portraits about the castle have had their faces blotched, burned and scratch out, and the statues have seemingly had a close encounter with a chisel. Wait... what am I saying? The whole island is like this! The scraps of newspaper, fliers, posters... all the faces removed and any names erased along with them.
"Welcome to the village of B..." is all that can be made out from the half-axed signpost on the way into town.
Callum, in his journal, wrote: Whilst completely deserted, you can't help but get the feeling you're being watched. Something in the corner of your eye that disappears the moment you look at it. And in the castle... someone keeps lighting the candles!

It's such a perfect setting for that sort of destruction

Ooh yeah, me and Jeevies were discussing. 
The reason for our quest on Anonymalia is curiosity.
The main antagonist is somewhat of a Freddy Kruger, the more he became known the easier it was for him to feed. And he is hungry. Until someone took it onto themselves the erase their existence in order to protect the world from the hunger - locking down the city and all its secrets.

The original description of the island changed when I found that picture (although a lake, town and a castle were part of my original idea).
