EXPLOSION! XD

Well hello there my pyromaniac friends, I need your advice for a HUMONGOUS explosion which YOU concoct in the quest, Azzan 3: Some Liberation.

Now, I am running into a dilemma. How might I cause the Great School of the Azzai be blown into a massive display of fireworks? Shall I make you steal gunpowder from Harmony Island? Shall I make you make more naphtha from the elven lands, or mix the two together?

Right now, I had the idea of using 10 posts around and inside the building (of course hidden by magic) and alight them into the a fiery ball of fire. Now, these posts are puzzling me. So far, they are composed of 1 yew log soaked in naphtha along with 2 other regular logs, lurking over a barrel of gunpowder. They are all connected by a giant, single fuse, also soaked in naphtha, which you light with a tinderbox. However, to get your tinderbox hot enough, you must wear a nice set of Flame Gloves. Also, you have to wear an opulent Holy Symbol of the Azzai to show some respect, since you are destroying a very religious building, and will not send quite the message of mockery without it.

If you want colored fireworks (and more complexity), use Special gnomish firelighters. If you use them (for the quest, I don't mean your character), you can add them as a buyable reward. They would do nothing other than light fires in different colors (no bonuses, unlike the ones you get from treasure trails). Also, you should use nitroglycerin (from The Digsite quest) (place a vial of it at any two of the locations containing a post [maybe in two of the larger rooms?]).

hm... interesting. I think stealing a few barrels of gunpowder off of Harmony Island is more fun, though.

Interesting idea about the gnomish colored mushrooms, but I can't require that, since they are random, untradable treasure trail objects, so I can add that in as an optional thing.

Them as a reward, I can't really do that, see, because the main character is basically sacrificed to Hector's Realm, which is an equivalent to a Christian Hell, at the end... This quest is CRAZY.

I'm feeling stupid right now. I completely forgot that they're untradeable.

lol, that's fine! now if they were... that would be a COMPLETELY different story!

As of August 4th they are tradeable once more - at 200gp each.

Also, you could add other colours rather than using the original colours... Cyan, Magenta, Black, Brown and... umm... Yellow? Light Green?
