The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
First topic message reminder :
Well I wont post the wuest here but I want to know what do you think of it, if you think that if it will go well in the game and all of that.
Also I want Morbius, Blaze and Jer to see if I can include their citties in my suggestion
3mpty: I have recreated this thread. Synopsis based on previous thread: an unaligned Mahjarrat wishing to claim back the demonic ruins from its demonic squatters.

Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
Yes, because it is oft used in reference to the more lowly and horrific creatures that inhabit the referenced area, it could easily be mistaken to mean scum. However it means something more akin to "kin", "type", "breed"

Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
There are worse creatures than Mahjarrat in this universe. They're called the Conservatives.

Except in every other country where liberal means liberal and not socialist.
Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins

Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
It only grew in one place, it was sensitive and could only be used fresh. Such a shame it had to grow here of all places it could do. There was nowhere else that could mimic the needs it had to survive. The demon’s rose; a disgusting flavour made it useless in cooking or to eat, it was far too delicate for practical uses, and despite the name, it never flowered and it seeds were like parasites. The only use it has is for a potion; a foul-smelling, foul tasting, nauseating (if drunken too quickly), miracle cure for only one illness.

I suddenly don't wish to pursue. *closes the Europe verse America thread that's he had open in the background*
Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
"Year 1999 of the Zarosian Era (long reign the dark one!)
It nears the end of the 2000th year of this glorious age, but celebrations are the last thing one people's minds. Our lord has come down with a strange illness; debilitating and degrading. His condition has worsened over the last month and I fear he isn't as fighting fit as he used to be.
He refuses to see any physician, but Acuity at Annakarl. I don't trust this shaman, he can't cure immortals. I still continue to insist our lord asks a second opinion from someone with more experience in plagues such as this. We know most things before others know them.
My ilk are divided at this time, some of the blasphemers of our tribe seem to wallow in embarassment as our lord passes us by, but none more than this foul being going by the name of Zamorak. His military tactics are nothing but cheap tricks, but then again, so are ours.
Speaking of his unmistakable skulkiness, his acitvity has been muted for a few nights, and my suspicions grow greater. Wouldn't it be nice to sacrifice him next? His foulness reeks like sulphur, and some of us can't stand to sniff it while other's take to his odour most kindly. He wouldn't be missed if my little friend crossed his throat. I've taken an effort to make him ever so sharp for the job.
My experiment is working well and its efforts are due distinction. Entire worlds beneath the earth and rock, with vast circulations between our many fortresses connecting them. My genius is to be admired, if I do say so myself. I might even suceed in creating my own little worlds in the palm of my hands, and my kin simply would marvel if I promised them the same. I am not known as the vizier to emptiness for just my good lucks.

Aside from "Speaking of his unmistakable skulkiness, his acitvity has been muted for a few nights, and my suspicions grow greater."... it's a very nice passage.
Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
I wouldn't mind a statement like this...
Mahjarrat - If it isn't that putrid genetic throwback of unmentionable disgust and vomit-inducing wretchedness.
Player - (either) You remember me then? or How did you know?

Sounds similar to something *yet to be named* says when he meets us for the second time, despite it only being the first time we've met him.
Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
Hey Morb last night I had a dream about an ilness wich turns the affected into a savage creature and I think that I could use the demon rose as a cure for that, I also plan to make that in my quest it is the second attempt to colonisate the demonic ruins

Zombie (living)? Zombie (undead)? Vampire? Werewolf? What sort of savage creature?
Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
Rabies? It's known to cause some creatures to become unnaturally aggressive.

Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
In our new quest, a strange unnatural disease is sweeping runescape. Animals and people are going mad, viciously attacking each other with an unholy rage, and all the coasts and shores of rives and seas and lakes have been abandoned as the infected seem to have some dreaful fear of the water. The only people unnaffected by this affliction are the tiny colony studying the Demonic ruins and the dark dungeons beneath. A single adventurer has set out, he will brave the wilderness, and hopes to unravel the key to their resilience.

Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
Let's see what we have.
1. A disease spreading across the land, the only cure localised at the ruins.
2. The demon rose.
3. A series of tunnels created beneath the Wilderness, used for both military and exodus purposes.
4. Something else I can't remember.
Keeping of the Light - 79 Magic, 3 Law Runes, 15 of each Elemental Rune and 5 Soul Runes - Effect, a non-damaging spell designed to cast away dark forces, the stronger the opposing force, the better it is repelled.

Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
First the desease has some stages, like four, those are:
1. Increase in the strenght, loss of control
2.Loss of concious
3.The affected is in every sense an animal
4. Phisical mutations.
Well that would be all of the steps of the disease

Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
I'm still not 100% on the point of the quest. As in... the greater arch it's suppose to provide.
Re: The Colonisation of the Demonic Ruins
I plan to make the quest involved mainly in this desease and in the discovery of an underneath part of the demonic ruins, one wich is in better state
