Isle of Lost Kings
For those of you who remember, Tiolk was my most ambitious suggestion - both a 4 part quest and a story. It took about a year, counting the months beforehand I spent brainstorming, to its completion at roughly 60 pages in MS word.
However, I've lost it. It died in the forums years ago and the computer it was saved to has long since passed away. I've always wanted to have another go at Tiolk, though, and expand it into the full 7-part series I had theoretically sketched out. All I remember now are the quests's names...
1. Secrets of the Dead
2. Curse of the Prince
3. Betrayal of the Blood
4. Something about the Soul?
5. No idea.
6. Something about a Crown
7. Folly of the Kings
Okay, so I don't even remember the quest's names anyway, I was wondering if another old-timer had Tiolk saved somewhere? I'll be asking on the TST thread too, but it would be easier to do it through this forum.

I could've sworn you had, Psycho. The Isle of Lost Kings was pretty much what put me on the map, and what got me invited into TST. It's easy to forget how long ago this stuff was, I suppose. Five years on the forums...is a long time...

I'm not even in the TST! I also have no idea what this conversation is about.

Yeah, it was a long shot anyway. I know someone has a copy of it, but I'm not sure who. I shall not give up so easily!
Side note - Since I guess none of your are familiar with it, I'll explain super quick. The Isle of Lost Kings was written as a 4-part series, going from intermediate to Grandmaster, based around a lakebed which would be in the black spot in the eastern desert. Since the 'Missing my Mummy' quest, Tiolk would be impossible, but I'm almost certain I caught references to Tiolk in the pyramid...anyway.
It involved a previously unknown Mahjarrat - Diax - some rather complicated backstory, and the Soul Altar

Re: Isle of Lost Kings
Well that sucks, but hey! You have the concept , rewrite it in a different context! I'm sure it'll be much better. Also, you could start a new project and move one. Its like a chalk drawing on a sidewalk. You know the artist who makes the art look 3-D? Well people step over it all of time, or Bansky the world renowned spray paint artists? His artwork is constantly painted over. But hey! They keep making their art.
Know that you made a fantastic story, and build from that! Keep writing! ^.^
