Pick a cape color*
(Clan) The Suggestion Guild
First topic message reminder :
Get online naowh! We need to found this baby!
So, some light discussion on the TST/TSS Clan.
Firstly, pick our clan colour. Obviously, we don't know the specifics yet... but if it's anything like choosing your icon/emblem/logo on other games (even clothes in RuneScape), there will likely be two boxes for primary and secondary background color (with an array of different patterns). I could be being hopeful, of course...
In any case... clan color!
*I may not use first-past-the-post.

Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
I was online, but I got bored. You were on when I originally posted. Apparently you didn't notice and logged out and asked for other clan mates, but weren't high enough rank.

Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
I was thinking there should be community swords; weapons awarded for contributions to the community of RuneScape outside of the game.
Artist's Rapier - A swift weapon awarded for artistic brilliance (if your art makes it into the Player's gallery, this is awarded to you).
Scribe's Katana - A sharp weapon awarded for linguistic ability (awarded if your thread or written work has been nominated or awarded Thread of the Week).
Lawkeeper's Cutlass - A protective weapon awarded for recognised practise. (awarded if you are chosen to be a player moderator)

Haha, sorry 'bout that Dragoooon. I went to bed.
I'm not on my personal computer, so I don't get emails streaming to me every few minutes.

Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
So a new development blog as just been posted, its called "An update on Clans", if you wanna check it out
Really, its just a big long list of excuses for the cock-ups Jagex have made in introducing the clan system, and to be honest, it really makes me think Jagex has bitten off more than they can chew technically...
A little quote from them...
Am I really the only one who can see a solution to this? Allow a very very small limit to the number of clans a person can be in (three at most), and have players pick an "active" out of the three, where all their contributions to highscores go. Would that really be so difficult?

A little quote from them...
Inability to be in more than one clan at a time:
This has been the most difficult request to address, as we have no desire to disrupt the multi-clanning community; however, in order to make any of the new clan features, we’ve needed to enforce a one-clan-per-player limit. There are a number of places where we need to unambiguously identify which clan a player is in.
The Highscores system is one of them: a player can only be counted for the highscores of a single clan, otherwise the tables become meaningless. Also, in order to make the whole clan system technically feasible, we needed this restriction. We would not have been able to provide the features we have done without it.
I’m afraid we won’t be changing the system to allow multi-clanning in the foreseeable future, but we’re well aware of this request. If we can find other ways to help these communities, we will do so. But, I’m afraid, for the moment there is going to be a period of adjustment to the new systems.
Am I really the only one who can see a solution to this? Allow a very very small limit to the number of clans a person can be in (three at most), and have players pick an "active" out of the three, where all their contributions to highscores go. Would that really be so difficult?

Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
I wouldn't say the limit is at all relevant, if you can do three you can do any amount. But yeah, having a "clan list" with one active at a time would perhaps be a feasible solution... but I'm not sure that would overcome the issues players are having. They still would only allowed to be in one clan chat at a time, would only be able to receive clan news for one at a time, etc. They might as well just leave-and-join with the current system... all the clan list adds is a quick-rejoin without all the faffing about.
I'll read the article in a bizzle.

Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
Only a little, I can never find a lot of time these days to play. I could sit for a while and play, but sometimes I find myself easily distracted from gaming.

Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
I intend on becoming a member just to set foot in our Citadel. But I doubt I'll play much after that.
Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
I'll only become a member so I can become the member of the clan. Plus also I want to save up for a title with the loyalty points. You'd think Celestial Scribe or Divine Artist should be given to players whose work was chosen to make thread of the week or player's gallery respectively.
Celestial Scribe Okikurmi I; has a nice ring to it.

I've not played for a long time. If I sign up for membership, expect some absenses from meetings for me to take time to look around.

Re: (Clan) The Suggestion Guild
So I was reading up on citadels on the RS wiki. Apparently you need 5 clan members to be subscribers to use them. Do we actually have that???

Didn't realise you were all members... Given how rare it was for me to find anyone online in our clan chat, I assumed most of you would be F2P. My bad
