Exit through the Gift Shop

Varrock museum. Free entry, artefacts dating back thousands of years are available for general viewing, historical information kindly donated from learned travellers, but there is one thing missing... a gift shop!

Every museum needs a gift shop and the Varrock museum is no exception. As you play through the game and give information to the historians, there should be more of an incentive than the possbility of going to a place untouched by time (and by Jagex also for that matter) and a few experience lamps. As you build Kudos and give information to the museum, perhaps they should consider getting in touch with contacts in Varrock to make souvenirs.

Depending on the quests you complete, the player will be able to buy more at the museum gift shop. Simple trophies such as replicas or toys will be available first, which can be placed in the player's toy box in their houses. With more difficult quests or perhaps more interesting ones, special Mahjarrat style clothing or replicas of ancient weapons are placed on sale (obviously just replicas, they give no stats when worn and require no levels to wield).

This makes the museum that tiny bit more worthwhile, if players can enjoy dressing up in ancient clothing and show off how many quests they've done and it gives greater incentive, as the island seems all that slightly further off in the distance.

First question I have when reading this: Are you going for entirely cosmetic, or will some of these have uses?

Entirely cosmetic, kids'll love 'em.

Just a means of harmless fun for people who've completed quests, but find some of the rewards the museum offers just aren't worth all the travelling.

I like it, it's in the same vein as the Helmet of Trials: rewards for a certain amount of quests done, as opposed to all of them.
