Thought I was dead, eh?

Hi there, everyone. It's been a while. Ever since I stopped playing RS, I found myself busier with other things, and wound up with less and less time to pop in here to chat. (And as RS has been forever moving forward, I've sort've been left in the dark with not much to chat about)

A few of you might remember that I was writing a book, entitled "Verdentia - The World Beyond Sight". Well, that book's finished now, and while I've been hunting down agents and publishers, I've set up a blog of sorts with a few extracts and snippets to see what people think. What use is any writer's efforts, ambitions or initiative without an audience to flaunt them to? So, I was just wond'rin... would anyone like to take a look?
The first thing I ought to mention is that it's had a name change. The title is now "The Eightfold Covert - A Road Between". Yes, there's purpose behind the subtitle, I'd very much like to make a series out of this, but I'll only know if it has the potential with a little feedback.
Now, if you do take a look, and you do like what you see, I'd really apreciate it if you perhaps told a few friends (not that you need to). I'll be honest, I think it's important that I establish a little bit of a network.

I'd also like to take this post to ask how everyone's been. I think the last time I made any noise on this side was about a year ago, and it was a quiet noise at that. (I tried logging into the chat a few times, but no one seems to visit it when I'm around.)

It's like Jhallan all over again! Just when the fight becomes fierce, we find just the person who will fill the void!

My book is nearing completion also. I just need to string the chapters together.

That's kind of you to say, Morb. (Jhallan? I'm going to guess he had a role to play in the latest Mahjarrat quest, then. ) How have things been?

Well Blaze, apart from missing you, atleast me, I lost my mem bership, oh and Jhallan ended up being hte sacrifice of hte last ritual, and Lucien was curbstomped by the dragonkin, and I'll take a look, but if I like it I'll probably ask as a stalker asking for more chapters, good to have you back

We're currently doing a little role-play kinda thing where we have our own version of the Ritual of the Mahjarrat - the Ritual of Suggestion.

When Morb says you're like Jhallen, he means he wants you to be the sacrifice in this ritual...


Anyway, welcome back. You may or may not know who I am, so greetings, etc if you don't.

Yay! Good to see you again and glad to hear that your book's well on its way.

On our front, we're getting ready for the Raid. I think that we're almost ready, but HA needs completion >.> and we need a few more projects, like my Svet Trilogy.

Blaze is really like Jhallan in this case. We all think he's gone for good, but just as things start to get ugly, he is found and then answers most of our problems.

Since your decision to leave us for other projects, things have dramatically changed. The Nightmare, what once started out as a creature fouler than a demon with a few followers has slowly grown in power, revealing itself to actually be an entity of pure darkness with an enormous cult following spanning over thousands of years with followers of almost every race in RuneScape, even those you thought to be followers of Zamorak and has manipulated and shaped the course of history for a long time. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it has become almost god-like.

Being sacrificed wasn't quite the respose I was hoping for, but...
In all seriousness though, that sounds quite fun.

The Raid on the forums? Still going for that, eh? Should be interesting. And HA's still incomplete!? I know it's a pretty hefty quest, but jeez. Are bits and pieces being replaced and revamped, or are there still diamond-hunting sections still unwritten?

Sounds like a villian-and-a-half, Morb. I remember the Nightmare's thread, but a lot's probably been changed/ been added since I last glimpsed it. (Creating villians, monsters and epithaths of terror always seem to be among the funnest parts of writing, if you ask me. )

I'll probably take a look at your excerpts in a little bit, but I've got my own novel to write this month (NaNoWriMo just started!) so I don't know if I'll be able to read it all in one go. Anywho, good to see you back!
