I think we had one at some point...

But does anyone know any good Wiki hosts? Preferably private?

Wikia only does public/academic wikis.

EDIT: When you say private you mean only a select amount of people can edit? I know Wikipedia only allows its staff on certain articles to edit them.

Wikia offers free wiki hosting, but they aren't at all private. Sad

And yeah, I mean like membership required wikis. Even if it was just something over a private server.

I'm currently looking into this.

I think the easiest way to do group projects would be a wiki. But I'd rather than we have control over who can post/see... as IP is an issue otherwise.

We could just use the Wikia, just like the RS Wikia uses. It's really, really easy to create a Wiki from that.

I was under the impression Wikia doesn't do privacy settings. In that anyone could edit. :\

But Wikia does provide a much nicer theme. That editthis site looks a bit sloppy. Sigh

Well, you can by simply privitizing all pages, and making all members admins.

wait a sec... 3mpty, you're actually making a wiki for our ideas or just the group projects? I don't know how editing a project's page would work if everyone who was working on the project were allowed to change the stuff. I mean, sure there is discussion, but isn't that suitable for here?

For all our ideas if we want.

If we assume that no-one will grief, then it shouldn't be an issue working on a wiki. I just prefer the format, I think.

And that seems like a cheaty way to make it private. Wink

If you put "Axarian Revolution/page name" instead of just "page name" when choosing your page's name, you make the page a subpage. At the top of every subpage is a link to the parent page. See Scape and any of its subpages for an example of this in action.

well this certainly has been active. I have only posted my first quest online there but I am not sure if I should directly copy the full walkthroughs on each quest.

I guess I could adapt the each walkthrough the like the runescape wiki.
