Agility as a Combat Skill
I briefly mentioned this in my combat overhaul verdict and the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. For a long time, RuneScape characters just simply stand around and take hits, without even trying to avoid them. In real life, you'd make an effort to avoid said attacks, and RuneScape should be no different. Agility is frequently used in escaping foes (with running), but it still seems to have limited purpose elsewhere. Why would monsters such as basilisks and armours like Karil's have need to drain it, when it's only use is running?
When the combat overhaul is put into effect, prayer will no longer offer full protection against several monsters that used to be blocked completely. At the moment, I find my characters defences count for nought in quests like the Elder Kiln, where I was under the impression that the armour quality and defence level would help (as of the moment, all TokHaar creatures seem to hit straight through it, even with high defensive bonuses). With an Agility level of 69 going onto 70, why don't I use it to skilfully dodge the brunt of most attacks, much like I dodge taking a beating with pickpocketing or improve my performance in Agility circuits?
We should have been working on this long ago, the use of Agility as a combat skill. It's listed under support skills in the Adventurer's Log, next to Slayer (which is a combat skill) so why not give it as much importance as Slayer?
Could you give me some feedback on this issue AS SOON AS YOU SEE IT! (In all fairness I want to know if I'm making a good point and it doesn't help when you simply go straight to another thread first without dropping a comment)

Re: Agility as a Combat Skill
... you assume I even read this.
This has been proposed countless times before. This site's already discussed it as part of our own combat remake ("counterstrike"). Jagex is clearly aware of the proposal, and has clearly made the decision that it doesn't want to include agility in combat. It would be nice if they did...
Perhaps agility-related effects will affect adrenaline instead. Karli's shreds adrenaline... could make it a beast in PVP.

I din't comment because I literally don't know anything about the new combat system.
