I know that this may be off the (new) topic, but the new pokemon legendaries look extremely awesome.

Definitely looks like it's going to be a more mature title than the pokemon games we're used to. First we get older characters, now THIS?

I love that the new title Pokemon are back to front.

The white one is the title Pokemon for Black, and the black one if the title Pokemon for White.

I hope this game is good. Although I'm still not keen on the starters. I didn't really like the last lot either, but oh well lol. The grass pokemon looks too similar in essence to Treecko, and the pig is well... And that... snowman...

I think the first 251 has been my favourite. They've just started to look silly.

But 4/7 of those released so far look shwell!

In my opinion, the pokemon released so far get a rating of 5/10. I broke it down thusly: The grass starter looks cool, but is similar to Treecko. 7.5/10. The fire starter is cute, but looks a little "off". 7.5/10. The water starter... its so, so badly made. It's a disgrace. It looks stupid, its coloring is horrible, and the symbol it has on its front. It looks like... just look at it. I know it's supposed to be a seashell but it looks, very... um... "sexual". -1/10. Zorua looks cute and cool, but it seems a little too much like vulpix. 8.5/10. Zoroark looks like a clown mixed with a recolored lucario. 6/10. Reshiram looks awesome, but a little too much like a bird. 9/10. Zekrom just looks awesome, period. 10/10.

Mujimaru is cute! It's a cool little otter-snowman-clown, with a philosophic look in its sad black eyes. If it just wouldn't evolve into some ugly evil yeti thing, then it is the awesomest starter, better than Twoocko and Bacon.

I owned all of them up to R/S/E. After that I only bought LeafGreen and then just sorta downloaded the ROMs from there.

Lol. Actually, a ROM is a (illegal) version of a game, which is downloaded instead of bought. (I am aware that that isn't what ROM stands for, but I'm not sure what it actually is.)

ROM is read-only memory. Also, DS ROMs aren't illegal. The act of obtaining the games is though - as it's a breach of copyright. Well, some are. I think there are legitimate DS ROMs. Like... I think there's apps you can get for the DSi that come in ROM form.

Game ROMs are, unless specifically released by the copyright holder, illegal.

No, owning one isn't illegal, to the best of my knowledge... but making one and especially selling one is. It probably follows the same laws as copyrights. But how do you play touch screen games on an emulator?

No, you are breaching copyright. It's illegal. Downloading music is illegal - but most people don't see anything wrong with it unless it's sold.

The Pirate Party UK (as well as their counterparts in other countries) are trying to make platform-transfer legal. So if you buy the game, you have the right to use the rom. However, even that's currently illegal.

Well yea, of course downloading music is illegal. Downloading a ROM is, too as far as I see. But owning one isn't. I'm not sure how the rules work in the states but i've never heard of "posessing stolen music" being a crime, but I've heard of people going in for mass downloading off of limewire.

EDIT: Well I did some research, and it IS illegal to own stolen merchandise, including software regardless of whether you bought it, was given it, or even know it's stolen. However with pirated music, movies and games, there is a sort of big-fish complex; that is, they would crack down on buyers before owners, dealers before buyers, the actual makers before the dealers, and at the top of the food chain is the russian and chinese cyber-syndicates who run the whole operations.

Essentially buying music off of limewire or a game off of a ROM site probably won't get you busted, unless you're unlikely enough for the feds to want to make an example on you. it's ILLEGAL, but if you think the risk is worth the reward, I'm not going to try and stop something that's already been going on for years.
