Collective Quest Writing
Characters
Commander Kadan: A powerful Purakasi leader he is the governor-general he will almost certainly be a problem
Tzhaar-Mej-Gyann: A Tzhaar Mage who was once a great friend of the land (Gyann is an honorific given to him by the islanders)
Kelkoon: The most politically powerful islander...quite expendable honestly
Callum: Our dear hero
Part One
Callum entered the volcano home of the Tzhaar. He was used to blast of heat...what he was not used to was the blast of noise...everyone was telling him to go meet Tzhaar-Mej-Gyann, and so he wandered around until he found him.
"Hello Callum. You obviously have no idea what is going on. The Purakasi control the Island and have huge support among the people...but they are keeping down all of the magic that made the island great. They persecute any mention of the spirits who taught the mages their art. We must stop this. You will need to do whatever is necessary to overthrow them...you must turn public support against them."
"Why me."
"Because the great mage Tehruhnen...founder of the island city and the one who led the conquest of the surrounding Islands...was your ancestor."
_______________________________________________________________________
Callum pondered on what exactly he would have to do to turn support against them, he decided that in all likelihood the best way to do this would be to find out why the populace supported them...
Upon his arrival on the island he asked some dock workers about it, the general response was that the Purakasi protected them from harm and invasions from various beasts...
When he asked some of the nobles in the city he found out that they held councils and were responsive to most of the people needs...although they ignored some of the nutcases who railed against them...
When he asked the peasants int he coastal villages he learned much to his displeasure that it was widely believed that the Purakasi Knights had been responsible for driving away the dragons...
And when he asked Kolkoon for a reason he heard the most startling thing of all.
"Honestly Callum, they have non one to unite behind...no imperial family to lead them, and so they turn to Kadan...unless you can find an imperial family member and ahve them receive the blessings of the spirits you will not be able to change their hearts, and that my friend is surely impossible."
________________________________________________________________________
"Well, well, well Callum said to himself...If they think they are so benevolent then maybe I'll have to make it appear as if they aren't...I just need to find out who these dissidents at the council meeting are and kill them using Purakasi methods..."
Ok now someone else can continue the story

Re: Collective Quest Writing
The council meetings of the Purakasi were always held in the main city [which we should get around to describing sooner or later], which was easily accessible to Callum. Town hall, on the other hand, was not. Since Callum was neither a native islander nor a member of the Purakasi, he was thrown out of the "visitor's room" as soon as the political greats arrived to discuss the affairs of the island.
"Curses!" Callum cried to the sky. "If only there was some way I could sneak into the meeting without being seen!" Suddenly, Callum noticed an alleyway next to the town hall that he had not previously noticed. Praising Saradomin (or whoever), Callum ran into the alley, shifted some random junk around, and managed to construct a makeshift staircase that led up to a small window set into the wall. Using his mad agility skillz, Callum dashed up the stairs and through the window without a moments hesitation.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inside, Callum noticed a closed door behind which he could hear the various political and military heads arguing. There had to be another way into that meeting! Callum began scouring the rest of town hall for anything useful that could help him open that door (which was naturally locked). As he wandered, he noticed a curious feature that seemed to be common to each room. Sitting on a perch on the ceiling was a bright red bird, sitting and staring into the distance. Upon closer examination, Callum realized that the birds were none other than the fabled Rubied Flames, a group of birds known for their strange reaction to fire. If a fire was set nearby to one of them, they would start shrieking and spewing water everywhere. As soon a Flame was triggered, everyone had to leave the building.
Callum, having brought his tinderbox and some logs for some reason, immediately lit a fire on the ground, but it was too far away from the Flame to be noticed. If he was going to attract its attention, he would need a much bigger flame (or at least one closer to the ceiling). He headed down a staircase, which led to the kitchens, where the island's best chefs prepared succulent meals for the politicians, who couldn't care less about the food. A single chef was slaving away over a stove when Callum arrived, frantically mumbling about sauces, roasts, and all sorts of other cooking jargon.
By a combination of skill, luck, and amazing good looks, Callum persuaded the chef to let him take over cooking while he went off and had a good time at the local pub. With the chef gone, Callum was free to raise the fire on the fire on the stove until the Flame high up on the ceiling noticed it and shrieked, which caused all the other Flames to shriek. Callum managed to go up the stairs in time to see all the council members filing out of the town hall, leaving the door to their meeting room open.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum snuck into the meeting hall where he found a stack of notes written by the head of the Purakasi...
"Kalgin & Armonus wish to resurrect the spirit temple and give us a less influential place in the hierarchy of the island. We should try and convince them of our point of view."
Callum walked out into the street and talked to one the islanders...the islander told him what area of the city Kalgin and Armonus lived in...
Callum realized that these murders would have to be carried out with a purakasi Sun-Mace and in full Purakasi regalia...
He made his way to the armoury next to the meeting hall...when he attempted to gain access he found it impossible to convince the Quartermaster to let him in...he did notice however that a balcony was above the entryway...he grappled onto it...picked the lock on the door and stole into the armoury
He broke the seal on one case of armour and took it out...
"Now to kill a few of my own for the greater good..." he said as he jumped down from the balcony and snuck off.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Kalgin and Armonus seemes to know they were in danger, their mansion seemed peaceful, but something about it alerted Callum and he decided to double-check it before entering, if he was found wearing Purakasi armour and attempting to kill two islanders, his mission would be impossible to accomplish.
He fetched his ring of Visibility and returned to the mansion, luckily he hadn't just entered. The garden was filled with some kind of invisible beings floating just a little above ground, Callum was astonished, it had required a great druid to summon those.
Suddenly he realised that it might not be as easy to kill Kalgin and Armonus as he had thought, but it was for the greater good, so Callum found a way through the hedge and into the well-guarded garden.

He realised that he would have to distract the ghosts somehow...He found a old arrow, a tinderbox and an oily cloth by the base of the hedge...he also found a bow lying by the sleeping uard at the front gate
He shot a flaming arrow at a large tree on one side of the yard...the ghost rushed towards the heat...thinking it was something alive...He then ran across teh yard and entered the well defended house through an open window into the servants quarters...lckily they were all drunk and passed out...but the rest of the house might not be so simple of a matter...

Re: Collective Quest Writing
The rest of the house was surprisingly empty, even though he was wearing his Ring of Visibility he had the feeling he was being watched by something, but every time he turned around there was only the empty mansion.
--------------------------------------------
The mansion wasn't as richly decorated as the Town Hall had been, but whoever decorated it had good taste. The furniture wasn't too much and everything just matched, however Callum hadn't got the time to enjoy the mansion.
He entered a door and found himself on a small balcony. Below him was shelves filled with costly books, a library Callum would have loved to explore if he had the time, but he wasn't alone. Two other men were in the library below him.
An old man clad in simple, but elegant blue and silvery robes. He had the nicest hat Callum had ever seen, it looked like a simpel grey wizard hat, but orbitting around it was mini-planets with even smaller moons, it could only be made by a great wizard.
Also another man, much younger. Clad in lush green robes. He was wandering around in circles, thinking. Sometimes he said something aloud, either to himself or to the other man, who appeared to be sleeping. Sometimes he took a book, read a few lines and put it back on place.
Callum guessed that it had to be Kalgin and Armonus.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
He watched a little bit longer and saw that Armonus (the younger one) would every once and a while go into another room to get another glass of wine...
When Armonus entered the other room for the fifth time he ran in and smashed Kalgin's skull with a mace...He then walked over and hid behind the open door
When Armonus returned he ran over to the corpse and crouched down to look at it. While he was looking ... Callum ran behind him and killed him viciously
As he attempted to escape he was intercepted by some of teh shadowy guardians...his sun mace ripped through them and left some distinctive burns on the wall...leaping over teh hedge he returned to the armoury and put back his armour.
When he returned to the meeting hall he saw (a cutscene showing) that a huge mob was gathered in front led by a man by the name of Jalkonum...he then turned and saw and eavesdropped on some guards...
"We should burn his guys huse like we did to that malcontent in Hemenster..."

Re: Collective Quest Writing
"Aye!" Callum shouted, not at all worried about giving himself away. "Kalgin and Armonus had the right ideas, not these puffed politicians! Let's show them what the islanders want!" Many people stared, since Callum obviously was not a part of the city, but most of them agreed with what he said. The officials hadn't been taking much notice of them, but that was about to change.
Town hall was stormed, but the officials had already cleared out, fearing a riot. "To their homes!" shouted a man in the crowd, and everyone else cheered. The mob ran off into the streets, leaving Callum behind. He knew that there was bound to be a fight, since the politicians would never come quietly. He restocked on all his essentials and followed the disgruntled citizens into the depths of the city.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He caught up with them in front a large mansion, very similar in style to the one where Kalgin and Armonus had been killed. The citizens were rattling the iron gates, trying to break through. Some had thrown torches over onto the lawn, where fire was already beginning to spread. A few unfortunate citizens had even climbed over the fence only to be impaled by the political guards, who wielded halberds in one hand, and defenders in the other.
"What's happening?" Callum asked no one in particular.
"We're locked out!" said a nearby citizen. "They knew we'd be coming and had already positioned the guards. We've tried their other homes, but they aren't in. We figure they've all holed up in here, so we *need* to get in!"
Callum searched around the house, looking for a weak spot in the defenses. He found it (like always) around the back. A huge pair of bay windows looked out over the dark street. [By the way, it's nighttime.] Through these windows, Callum could see shelves upon shelves of ancient books. A library like this would make Reldo green with envy if only he could see it. It was a shame that Callum would have to burn all the books to the ground to get inside the mansion.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Callum's strength, although prodigious, was not enough to hurl a torch far enough to get through the windows. Thus, he would need to construct an elaborate machine to bring fire from one side of the lawn to the other. First, he tied some rope to an arrow and fired it at one of the wooden beams crossing the window. Callum's magnificent aim kept the arrow's course straight and true. [NOTE: Fire arrows wouldn't work because they'd...they just wouldn't work. ] After he tied the other end of the rope off to the fence, he constructed an elaborate wooden box that he could attach to the rope and send careening across the yard. Finally, he lit the box on fire and sent it flying into the window. (For the sake of the quest, let's just say the fence was higher up than the window) [NEW REQUIREMENTS: 45 CONSTRUCTION, 45 STRENGTH, 30 FIREMAKING]
In a huge burst of flames, the library was ablaze! The guards were running everywhere, trying to put out the fire before it reached their masters upstairs. Everything was in chaos and it was perfect for Callum to slip inside.

He entered and found the house completely deserted...on one desk he found a note...
"We must eliminate Callum, he is the most likely culprit behind these threats to our reign."
He then exited the house and saw Commander Kadan storm out fo the burning house followed by the guards...Kadan pulled out a crossbow and brutally executed ten members of the crowd before anyone could say anything
"SARADOMIN HELP ME!" Screamed Kadan and suddenly the raging mob became docile and good...but Callum sinced that the enchantment upon them was of mortal making...

Re: Collective Quest Writing
You attack Kadan, shouting in an attempt to enrage the mob, but their anger had dissappeared. Kadan is too strong for you, he is protected by Saradomin in every way. You get help from someone above you, a barrell falls and damages Kadan. Someone must have pushed it, but whoever did it is gone now.
Callum rushes to attack the stunned Kadan once and for all, but suddenly... Kadan raises his hand and from one of the villagers a greyish spirit is transferred to Kadan, who is completely restored. He draws another spirit from one of the villagers, who doesn't seem to have anything against him killing them, they are just watching the fight with slight curiousity.
Kadan sends the greyish spirit at you and you are unable to move. "This is the one who killed Kalgin and Armonus, our brothers!" he raised his sword and continued "This... Callum! Is the one who wants to destroy our dear island" Kadan leaves, letting the angry mob finish you off.
Suddenly a whirl of blueish and greenish spirits raise from the ground and you are teleported away. You are on some kind of ancient stone plinth within a forest, old pillars rise in a circle around you. Everything is quiet.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Three spirits; one green, one blue, and one white appeared atop the three pillars that were largest and closest to the plinth... many smaller spirits appeared and hovered above the other columns...Callum sensed that he was still somewhere on the island... the spirits began to speak
Blue: "An ancient enemy, summoned to be defeated, may be a great boon in this hour of need"
Green: "This temple, rebuilt and rejuvenated, with the ritual of return performed within it, will summon our brethren to free the people."
White: "In the fiery maw of the island lies the regalia of the king."
The spirits vanished. Callum went over what they had said in his head [character will probably talk to self here to hint at what to do] The last one was clear enough...somewhere withing the volcano was the Kings ceremonial outfit...but the others...he couldn't enter the town and how was he supposed to know what an ancient temple looked like or who the ancient enemy was...if only he could go back in time...of course that was when he remembered the enchanted key

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum made his way back to the volcano, everyone was looking for him and he had to hide for everyone. But he made it back to the volcano and met Gyann. Callum was cruious if there was anything he should watch out for in the past of the volcano.
Gyann tells him that the volcano was a much wilde rplace back in the time, the Thzaars were more powerful, but more savage and the volcano was still a fiery place. Also wild beasts were roaming, some of them even fiercer than Jad.
Callum serached for a suitable spot to travel back in time, he found it and activated the key. Closing his eyes waiting for the rush of the time travel, he waited and waited. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw Gyann in front of him.
"I didn't knew you were that old" Callum said surprised, but Gyann shook his head "You should have told me of your plan, you can't go back there equipped like that", Gyann turned his back on Callum. "Return when you are properly protected against the heat, then I might be able to help you"
Callum wondered how he could protect himself from the heat, but then he remembered the Enchanted Water Tiara (Requirement: Dealing with Scarabas) He fetched it and returned to Gyann. Gyann raised his staff and orange twirls raised around Callum, the heat was immense, but his body didn't take damage thanks to the tiara. Slowly the heat died out.
Gyann told Callum that he couldn't travel back in time, due to the magic block placed on the volcano by the Purakasi, even the simplest spells took tremendous effort. However the magic blockade should wear off the deeper you go.
Gyann lead Callum to a huge door, it lead to the deppest chambers of the volcano, no one knew what was behind it or why it was sealed, but somewhere in there, Callum should be able to activate the key.
Sadly the door was sealed by the Council of Fire and it takes four "Firehands" to open it, Gyann explains that back in the days only the council could use magic and therefore it was a secure lock, now that everyone can cast fire spells, it shouldn't be too hard to open the door.
Sadly the magicblock makes it harder to cast spells, so many lesser mages is now unable to use even the simplest magic. Gyann is able to cast the necessary spell (Fire Blast), Callum should be so too (Requires Magic 76).
You should find another thzaar from the sister volcano, they have plenty of skilled mages, also a trustworthy and skillful human could fill the last place.
Callum set out to find the two last members of the new "Council of Fire"

Re: Collective Quest Writing
You go towards the Wizard's guild. Hopefully you can stumble across a 'trustworthy and skillful human' to help... but sadly, on the door all you find is a note - 'Be back when the smell goes away'
Having no idea what that could possibly mean, you go inside the guild. What you see is a bit of a scene. Scorch marks streak across the walls, fires are smothering in the corners. Smoke lays on the ceiling. You realize that these mages are not very trustable with fire and set out somewhere else.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Who would I turn to when searching for someone to be part of a fire council?
This is what Callum asked himself as pondered on what he had seen at the guild. Suddenly a thought hit him...Ignatius Volcan...the firemaster.
After making his way to the grove where Ignatius was making his fires callum asked him if he would help. Ignatius said that he would love it and promptly started hopping up and down at the thought of visiting the tzhaar volcano.
But, Ignatius said, there was one small problem...he wasn't very adept with magic...perhaps he could take up an apprenticeship with Thormac...
Callum led him to the tower, Thormac assured him that he would make a mage out of Ignatius...
"My poor scorpions have run away again, perhaps you could fetch them, I'm sure he'll be ready by then, here's a cage."
Locations
1: Top of Agility Pyramid
2: The close pit trap in Tyranwnn (first one when walking out of the little shrine area by the well)
3: Daeyalt mines
At each location callum had to fight a very posionous (starts at 8 ) scorpion (lvl 89)...but as he always did...he eventually got them back to thormac...and picked up a note fromt eh eager pyromaniac saying he would be waiting at the gate...

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum decides to travel to Karamja to find another thzaar to help him open the door. Once he enters the volcano he are greeted by Tzharr-Hur-Brekt who wants him to come see his newest play.
During the very humorous play, the three Ket-Zeks used in the play comes out of control and everyone fless from the theater and Callum is left alone with the three Ket-Zeks (360) He defeated them (Not easy!) and TzHaar-Mej-MejTz greeted him and asked him if there is anything he could do in return, he is by the way a mage, how convenient!

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Well actually...you could help me open this door and be part of a fire council...
So at long last the 4 fire councilors gathered at the door...Each cast his/her/it's spell at the door which flung open before them... tehy entered a huge temple made of obsidian...fountains of lava sprung up everywhere and at teh center was a huge stone platform...
A huge red spirit manifested itself on the platform... " YOU MUST BE TESTED!" it said...pointing a huge hand at Callum..."you bear the approval of the others but I am the decider. Your puny friends may help you."
You must now engage in battle with what at first glance is a glorified fire elemental (lvl 237)...however it can cast earth and fire wave as well as smoke barrage and basic melee...the others will help you but since none of them can cast ice or water spells (It's weakness) they aren't a huge help.
Upon it's defeat it will give you a set of night-blue, silver trimmed robes...a silver amulet...and a straight silver staff...
"So...descendant of the first you are...and worthy...you have gone to the three temples of power and to this final temple as well..."
"What three temples...I just met a blue, a white, and a green spirit out in some ruins in the woods."
"This is not good...They have retreated to the leaf temple (green spirit) which is in ruins, and if they have doen so then surely the fog and bone (white and blue spirits) temples are desecrated as well... only the temple of magma stands...You must resurrect the temples...if you can resurrect the leaf temple you should be able to visit the vault below where plans for the other's are housed..."
[Yep...these are the four elements of the reward spellbook... each one manages to fit nicely with on of the four elemental colors of the main spellbook...giving it a nice little ruse]

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum faces Gyann "Wasn't this door supposed to lead into the depth of the volcano?" Gyann looks a little confused "It was sealed for a thousand years, don't blame me!"
"Everyone wants me to do something different" Callum sobbed, but Gyann turned around "Seek the depth off the volcano" He said and took the robes and the staff "These are not for now, I'll keep them until you return", "What are they?" Callum asked "Later" Gyann answered.
The fire spirit leads Callum through a hidden door and down a steep stair. "I can help you travel back, but I must warn you, this place was savage, when you are going" Callum pondered "Why would the kings regalia be hidden so deep within the volcano?" The spirit, now sad, turned to Callum. "He sought the great power deep down, for the right reasons alas, but he wasn't strong enough" The spirit took the key from Callum "Are you ready? I must warn you, it is dangerous" Callum nodded and the spirit used the key to send him back, into the darkness.
Callum found himself in another cavern, the volcano must have changed alot since. Apparently there were no exits, but a small tunnel lead downwards, Callum was unsure whether he could get through the narrow tunnel, but when he tried the key, he found that also time travel spots had changed, so there was no way out.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
You go down the steps for quite a ways...you disable some traps...mine through some lava incursions and make your way to the deepest part of the volcano...here you see the king chanting in some strange tongue...wearing fine robes. he utters a final word and a single stark "NO!" resounds through the cavern...he fall to the ground...incinerated by pure force...Callum ran forward and grabbed the armour/robes off of the floor...suddenly he felt a great slab of obsidian rise up from below him...it carried him up and up until he was in what looked exactly like the magma temple he had been visiting in his own time...
In fact it was the same temple...some great force had lifted him up...and then the huge stone platform rose violently out of the main obsidian floor...catapulting him out of the volcano and into a stand of trees next to a huge temple with the sigil of the leaf on it...
"Regalia...check...temple plans...must be inside of their...and I can ask those people in the military camp about any enemies..."
Callum quickly stole through the temple, disarmed a few guards and traps, and found that the blueprints were lying on the altar...the green spirit arose from the floor and spoke " Take them...descendant of the first...you have great need."
He left the temple and walked down to the camp where he was met by an army captain...
"Aaah so you're here...the Royal that the fire spirit promised us...the quartermaster has you're equipment...we must fight through and get that mage's spellbook so the new king can cast the banishment, here's a chest...put any valuables in and bury it over by those three big trees..."
Callum suited up and placed everything in the chest...even the regalia...he tried to sneak the key with him but the captain knew and forced him to bury it...
"Let's go kill that slimy mage...he won't steal our souls to heal himself now that we've got a royal...and then we can banish all these intruders back to where they belong"
Callum led the troops out towards a mass of demons...each carrying a strangely familiar...glowing mace....
"So that's who was casting those spells for Kadan..."

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum has no military experience. He commanded a full charge on the mages tower, his men, confident in his expertise did as he said and charged yelling at the enemies tower.
Captain Steamforce followed Callum, his entire body was a steampowered engine, even though he was a result of necromancy and engineering he was the former leader of the army.
Seconds after the charge had started, the demons rasied their maces, the entire squad was wiped out by a rain of fire within seconds. As the men fell screaming and burning to the ground, Callum sought cover behind a rock. Steamforce exploded, the shockwave shook the ground and collapsed a large area of the battlefield, sending Callum into the cavern network below. Covered by a thick mist of steam, the Captain only remain he ran into the cave system's darkness.
Although the entire army had been wiped out and being alone in the darkness, Callum saw an oppertunity to finish the job, the cavern system stretching below the battlefield and possible also the tower.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum darted down the tunnels...he leaped over rockslides...squeezed between stalagmites and stalactites...and crawled through narrow tunnels...finally he found himself at a place where the mage's tower's basement came near to the tunnels...he put his ear up to it to check if anyone was on the other side...knocked on it to see if it was hollow, and then with his tremendous strength he knocked down the wall. Suddenly he heard a noise behind him. he looked back and saw a cadre of seven elite warrior-mages teleport in.
"Milord, the leaf spirit instructed us to teleport to this location. You will need help penetrating the defenses."
Callum nodded curtly and continued into the storeroom, he picked a lock, disarmed some traps and climbed the ladder onto the ground floor. he and his men carefully entered the empty grand hall...
Demons teleported in around them, sealing off all the doors. As they fought for their lives Callum noticed that a shadowy figure from above was casting spells at them...he shouted to his men, dodged a few demons and ran up some side stairs...he darted through the halls and finally made his way to the balcony...although he had to kill a few demons that were in his way. He fought with the mage until the mage was almost dead...
Then the mage laughed..."You fool, now that you're up here i can simply drain the life of your men to heal me."
Callum, thinking quickly as usual, pulled out the dagger the quarter master gave him and stabbed the mage...he then jumped off of the balcony...landed on his feet and screamed "To me!" his men were soon close enough that the mage couldn't drain them...and then the mage screamed as poison flowed through his body...finally he collapsed...and the book tumbled form the balcony to the floor where Callum took it.
Seizing the moment Callum chanted the banishment spell...sending the demons back to wherever they came from, and sending himself swirling to his own time...book in hand...suddenly Callum realized this wasn't just a spellbook, it was a diary too...here he would be able to get answers

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Some strange time effect had made the pages disappear and only the cover was left. Whether they were destroyed, lost in time, scattered across the island, or maybe even the entire world Callum couldn't figure out, but gone they were.
Callum looked around and noticed an innoncent looking farmer pulling a wagon full of vegetables, he decided to ask him how things were. "Well, I've heard a story about an assault on a tower of some kind, do you know anything about it?" He asked.
"Indeed, that is one of the most important moments of our history" The farmer started to tell the story. "Those pesky Prai-Kasu just wanted to re-group here, before continuing there travel, we gave them food and shelter. Sadly one of their commanders were murdered and they declared us war"
"We were not prepared for war and they had the element of surprise, they were stationed everywhere, so we had no choice but surrender. Only one mage continued to fight, he was very skilled and put up quite a fight. After some time, the entire Prai-Kasu army was only focused on him and his staff, which was imbued with the power of a powerful demon, giving him command over many demons"
"Legend has it that a Royal would arrive, send by the spirit of fire and shred the enemy, so that the island once again could be free. The Royal appeared and carried great power that could turn the battle"
The farmer's face turned grim "We still burn dolls representing that fool on the day of the battle, if I had him right here I would throw him in a haystack and fork him to death!" Callum asked the farmer to continue.
"The Prai-Kasu knew of him and as soon he arrived, they asked him to aid them. Without asking questions or investigating anything, the Royal agreed to defeat our mage PFFT!"
"We know that the Prai-Kasu captain, Steamforce, was defeated and destroyed the battlefield, from there the rest is unclear. Some claim that the Royal (Fool) entered the tower through tunnels, but what happened in there is unknown. Fact is that seven Prai-Kasu mages left the tower carrying hte body of the dead wizard and his staff"
"All resistance was crushed and the Prai-Kasu took over the island, for some time there were sabotages and resistance group, but then the demon came, why they hadn't come earlier is unknown, maybe there were som kind of lock on the staff. Anyway, rebels were hunted down and killed by the demon, the Prai-Kasu tightened their grip"
"What happened to the Royal is shrouded in mist, hopefully he died a slow and painful death. The mages spellbook was also lost, that might have been the only thing that could save our island, the Prai-Kasu hasn't got it"
Suddenly Callum realised how things were and large red letters formed the word "Pwned" across the screen (optional) "I've wasted much time telling you the story" the farmer said "You can pull this wagon to the village for me in exchange" Callum pulled the wagon to the village and sat down exhausted on a bench.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum ran off to the site of the battle and dug up the chest with all the stuff he had buried in it...
Then he realized something...something so horrifying it stunned him...the Prai-Kasu were the Purakasi...they had control of the island once more...even worse...it was likely that Kadan had the staff of the mage in his possesion...the only thing that might be able to stop him would be the spells in that mages book...but how would he ever find them?
A noise came from behind him and a huge spirit of bone arose from the ground..."You search for the spells of archmage Anakusian? It is said that he held the power to move through the channels of time and space...he gathered his spells from many different times and places...in all likelihood the various pages of that book were sent to their own times and locations by the banishment."
"The great library in the city holds records of his travels through time and space...they are in an archive deep below ground...if you can go to those places and find the pages you could save us all..." A spirit formed from delicate mists arose to say this. "The purakasi wan't you found dead or alive, preferably dead...but i will shield your movements with my fog as best I can. Remember...if you ever wish to truly defeat Kadan you must rebuild the temples of Fog, Bone, and Leaf..."
Callum nodded and ran full speed towards the town

Re: Collective Quest Writing
Callum was forced to dress up as a woman (or a man in case he changed gender since last time) to avoid getting recognised. He chatted a little around with citizens and found out that no one, but the Purakasi could read books. He decided to try anyway, so he went to the library. Here he found out that only Purakasi could enter the library and read books, normal islanders wasn't allowed to read and acquire knowledge.
Even worse: The library was split in two parts, the open part everyone could read and the closed part. The closed part was created by the earliest Purakasi mages under the original library. They felt that there weren't sufficient security in the original, so they created the cellar, and it was filled with the most dangerous tombs and books, then sealed. Only tru Purakasi could enter the door, whatever that meant.
Callum was happy for all the information and decided to check out the security for the closed part. He snuck through a window into the library, using his insane grappling and wall climbing skills, no one but him could enter through such a high placed window.
Inside the library he located the entrance to the closed part, a simple door, no guards, no strange symbols, just a door. Callum double-checked the door and found a badly-hidden trap, he disarmed it and entered, suddenly he was whisked away by a mysterious force, so this was the true lock of the door.
Callum found himself in a strange room, he wasn't alone, a strange hooded figure was teasing him and calling him weak. Callum had to fight not to challenge the person to a fight and keep humble. If he tried to challenge the figure he would get beaten badly, and dealt hard damaget. After answering humbly for quite some time, the figure let him pass into another door. This door was very small and he had to bow to get through. As he passed through Callum felt his Pride disappear and felt very humble.
Callum entered a room filled with coins, jewels and other treasure. If he tried to touch any of it, he would lose much hitpoints. He passed by and the wealth got more real and more expensive, spirit shields, rares, expensive armour was just right there for him to take, he could pick it up, he could wear it!
Wearing his expensive armour and with his inventory filled with rares he came to a table, it was filled with delicious food and drinks. Suddenly he felt very hungry and his hitpoints dropped. If he tried to eat any of the delicious food he would get damaged. The only thing he could eat was bread, and he could only need it when he really needed it (Being below 10 hitpoints) After eating a few breads, just enough to survive, he felt the hunger disappear.
Before him was a door, there were no decorations, just a door made of wood. He tried to pass through carrying any of the valuables from the room, he was forced to start over (Same as if he had died) This time he learned his lesson and left anything in the room. This time he could pass. As he passed through the door, he felt any greed and any need for material goods disappear.
The next room was completely dark. Glowing Women (Or men in case of gender-change) beaconed him and called him, called had to walk in the opposite direction of where they wanted him to go, soon more joined until there was only one way he could walk each step. If he walked against any of them he would take damage.
After quite some time rejecting everyone, by walking away each time (if he died he had to start over) he came to a door. As he passed through, he felt relieved, although he didn't know why. (Damn Lust better suggestions are appreciated)
On the ground he found a dagger and a small note "This dagger will drain the gifts of the murdered to the murder" Callum realised the sheer power of this dagger. Suddenly a man was in front of him challenging him to a race, he could only continue if he won. Callum darted of, but the man was faster. Then they came to a rockslide, (Similar to the ones in tunnel from Curse of Arrav) the man just mined through every rock quickly, while Callum slowly worked his way through. He wondered if he should use the dagger and avoid the hard work, the other guy had it so easy. (If he had stabbed him, he had to start over)
Many similar challenges followed, Callum was slow and everytime left behind while the other just passed easily. The dagger seemed more and more tempting, but he didn't use it. Finally he reached the door the man was waiting. Callum realised he had lost, but the man let him through, the test wasn't about speed.
Callum checked the door and found an advanced trap, it looked very very hard, almost impossible. He thought of using the dagger, he realy wanted to get on, but decided to try the trap himself. After alot of fumbling he got through the door. As he passed through, he got very aware of his own abilities and gifts.
Callum entered a room, or more some sort of canyon. It was filled with wolves, there was a table filled with food, he could take as much as he liked (but only up to 14 pieces, but he don't know yet) He ran through the canyon filled with wolves, eating when needed. Finally he reached the door.
He tried to open it, if he had taken more than 14 pieces of food, or eating when it wasn't needed (food heals 10, if he had 72/80 hitpoints) so he had wasted food, if he hadn't done any of these two, he went through the door and realised that he shouldn't eat more than he needed to survive.
Callum found himself at a farm, he helped the poor farmers harvest the crops and stack the haybales. When they were finally finished, the farm was attack by masked men who burnt the harvest and killed the farmers and their kids. Callum was so angry, he could have killed some of the men (but he didn't this time) he was taunted by the masked killers, but he didn't react and they left soon after, leaving the burned farm behind. A door appeared, Callum tried to enter, if he had let go of his anger, he would be forced to start over, but this time he was let through, leaving the burned farm and killed people behind. Suddenly he felt all relieved and happy that he had controlled himself.
Callum came to a digsite of some kind. Many people were busy chopping of rocks and removing them with a wheelbarrow. One of the men told him that the door was on the other side and he was welcome to join the others in removing the rockslide. Callum grabbed a pickaxe and started working, driving every rock away in a wheelbarrow as he dug into the rockslide. Soon they had cleared the rockslide and the rest crumbled. The workers would have gotten through whether he had helped or not. If Callum had tried to enter the door without having removed at least 20 rocks, he would have to start over, but he had helped and he was let through. Callum felt a sudden joy by hard work and was happy to contribute.
Callum finally found himself in the archives, but he couldn't remember why he would go there, the Purakasi was the good guys, they were just trying to help the islanders. Callum decided to look around for before leaving, he suddenly saw the logic of the Purakasi and it seemed right.

Re: Collective Quest Writing
But no matter..he quickly realized that the Purakasi would probably love to have the knowledge of the mage's travels...
He realized that the Archive with the mage's work was probably hidden from the purakasi...but having royal blood Callum thought he might be able to access it...
He noticed that four of the bookshelves were around a suspicious empty area...he tried to knock them down but found it impossible...then he looked at the books...he quickly figured out the puzzle and pulled one book from each shelf
Treatise on Volcanoes (magma)
Weather and More (fog)
The Structure of Creatures (bone)
Trees Flowers and Herbs (leaf)
The four bookcases fell away revealing a staircase into the depths. As Callum passed through the magical barrier at the base of the steps he realized he had been under a spell that had made him support the Purakasi. Shuddering at the thought of what might ahve happened he darted into teh dark and dangerous maze of the archives...

Re: Collective Quest Writing
All the bookcases seemed alive, rotating and changing place. The archives was one big ever changing labyrint. Callum was completely lost, but then something caught his atention. All the bookcases had a small decoration on the top, in varying colours. Callum had no other idea how to get out, than to try following the bookcases with, red, blue, green and white, decoration.
Vile flying books was constantly attacking him, he had a range or magic weapon so he could fend them off. Finally he came to a big room filled with flying books, the bookcase rotated and blocked any exit. Callum looked around and an old worn tomb caught his attention, he took a shot at it and it attacked.
After a hard fight with the tomb, which had a surprisngly large arsenal of spells, Callum took the book and left the archives. Finally he had the log.
