Are you joking?! Zavionce is at least twice as good as that series! In my opinion at least. P.S. This does not in any way mean that I don't like the Arzonus series, I just like this series a lot better. P.S. Eliot sounds a lot like Elliot, which is a boy's name. May I suggest changing is to Elain or Elia?MorbiusMonster wrote:I've checked the thread out, looks like Arzonus has some competition!

*foresees this thread turning sour*
I personally prefer Zavionce because the Werewolf storyline doesn't interest me, but both are very well written. I think it's mainly werewolf lore as opposed to anything, though. But I think that's RuneScape's fault more than anything - they never really gave Werewolves good backlore or biology for people to work with.

Thanks very much Trixtor , but I'd personally say Arzonus
deserves the same amount of merit at least. The amount of work and dedication
put in is remarkable, and I've always seen it as being very inspirational!
And yes, Eliot was originally a male-only name, but it's also been the name of
females over the years.
I think 3mpty has a point, the lack of solid werewolf-lore in RS gives them an initial lack of enticement. However, due to this open book of possibilities, the lore created for them in a quest-series (such as Arzonus) has a greater chance of being accepted.

Re: Zavionce Quest 5. Online. =)
Not quite what I meant. The starting lore is crap - I wasn't making a comment on room for additions.
Werewolves aren't a species, yet they are treated as such in RS. They can't normally cross running water, which is always a cool quirk, but in RS they can. *shrugs* I don't know - they just aren't interesting and I have no interest in it.

Re: Zavionce Quest 5. Online. =)
My brother got 'Betrayal at Falador', which I read after he didn’t
bother getting past the 5th chapter...
According to that, the RS werewolves are their own species, rather than simply
being cursed, and have a stable mindframe before a ritual at adolescence, which
makes it difficult for them to think outside the whim of Zamorak.
I based the Werefoxes off a similar idea, though without the enslavement of mentality...

Then the whole looking human thing and being called "were"-wolves is lame. I have no objection to an bipedual-wolf race... just calling it a werewolf when it lacks being a were-*pause*-wolf. Otherwise the racial information sounds cool... :L
Re: Zavionce Quest 5. Online. =)
I think the race may have began through the typical curse, but over the years they bred, rather than infecting others, which in turn made their descendants have these traits naturally rather than having them as "cursed additions".
If not, then perhaps the author just wasn't being too attentive.
Anywhen, have YOU had a peek at Zavi6 yet?

I don't think it would be fair to compare them, of course you can prefer one over the other.

No, I wouldn't like to compare them either. Both have their strengths.

Re: Zavionce Quest 5. Online. =)
Nah, Arzonus does actually state in some of the filler material (the stuff submitted to keep readers busy) that the werewolves were a gift to Zaros from Armadyl, not initially a curse. The majority of these werewolves' descendants chose not to follow Zamorak and come across as more spiritual and nature loving than gothic like Zamorak's.
And I also think in another piece, the werewolves originally termed themselves "wolfkind", but humanity referred to them as "werewolves" and the term just stuck.

Re: Zavionce Quest 5. Online. =)
I'm sorry for the trouble. What I meant was, I love Arzonus, I like Zavionce more, but they are both incredibly written. And on another note, I've never actually met anyone named Eliot who wasn't male, nor have I ever heard of anyone named Eliot who isn't male. I still think using a more established girl's name (or some made up name, "Enakhra" comes to mind) would make more sense, but I don't really care.

Reasonable example there, i suppose
But yes, if you've only heard it as a male name before, I'd imagine it's harder to picture as feminine.

I know one male and one female, but mostly Eliot's surname as far as I'm concerned. I like it as a girl#s name more though.
Re: Zavionce Quest 5. Online. =)
It's just nitpicking, I don't really care. I just think that some people might get confused by the name. If you like it as it is, I'm not going to push it.
