[TV] The Saddest Angels in the Universe
Please tell me that someone on these forums watches Doctor Who so I can talk about it!

Don't blink!
I didn't like the new lore with images becoming angels and mind control/weird infection thing. I liked it when they were just hungry. Now they seem just another last-of-their-kind enemy of the Doctor trying to rebuild.
Episode was good though. I loved Bob.
...although I set myself up for a disappointment 'cause I was hoping for another mind-hurt episode like the last time. XD

I kind of liked the whole "image is the angel" thing despite it being sort of cheesy. I was impressed, though. The episode made me jump twice.

I jumped when that second cleric died.
Speaking of... the whole episode seemed to have an underlying troll at religion.
Back to the image thing. I don't know. It thought their arsenal of biological abilities was sound. Now it just seems a bit like a miscellaneous array of things that were just added to cover potential weaknesses. They seem less lonely when they can climb out of images.

BBC better allow free-use of the angels! I wanna see them spread into all corners of fiction!
Re: [TV] The Saddest Angels in the Universe
The first time they appeared was probably the freakiest Doctor Who episode I've ever seen. I didn't see the more recent one though.

They freaked me out a bit in this one. I'm lucky I know someone who knows someone in England who can download them.

Daleks?
I don't remember them ever saying incinerate... but I remember there was an enemy that did and I was like "Enough with the one-word execution chants; exterminate, delete, etc.).

Re: [TV] The Saddest Angels in the Universe
Hmmm...
I'm watching Blink, the original episode with the angels.
OMG! Someone should so write it in RuneScape style!
Proof the new lore was second thought - Sally Sparrow had pictures of the Angels, and she gave them to the Doctor. At no point did they leap from the page. And throughout the whole episode they were staring at their eyes... at no point were they told not to look at their eyes, and there was no mind-bending.
I did like that the angel would move in the recording... but coming out of the video was a bit weird for me.

I'm thinking... Slayer Monster, you have to look at it. You don't and it kills you....
Kill the lights and attack blind... it's only flesh when it's not seen.

Re: [TV] The Saddest Angels in the Universe
I think my favourite angel was the one upstairs at the beginning of Blink that had it's arm in-front of its face, and not just its hands. It almost looked like a swoon, but not quite. I don't know, I preferred it to the crying.
I hate that the reason they hide their face was never mentioned in this new one.
