Furry Fandom
Yes, that's right. I've opened up a topic for furry fandom (covering anthro and therian) thanks to 3mpty informing us of his tasteful interest in Yiff.
So we should discuss furries, for the sake of not making some of us feeling out of place for liking them (if you are going to discuss yiff, make sure it's tasteful).

Re: Furry Fandom
Oh, there's nothing wrong. I've no objection to furry fandom. (I knew a group of furries on RS a good while back, and they were by far some of the most helpful, friendly and intellectual players the game had.)
It's just that this seems to have come clean out of nowhere.

I saw a grin.
I'm genuinely surprised by how fast you pulled out of that conversation. Most people I know would've taken it to see how far I'd take it... like a game of chicken. I don't really know how to describe it so if you've know idea what I'm on about you will probably continue to have no idea what I'm on about. But like... I knew you didn't actually want anything drawn, but I said I would draw some: NOT to see if you actually wanted anything, but to see how long you'd keep it up.

If artists were ordinary, we'd have no drama music or art.

Re: Furry Fandom
3mpty's obvious habits aside, does anyone else have anything to say about furries? Blaze perhaps could fill us in with the Zavionce saga fandom.
I'll fill you in on this. I once designed the costume of Giovanni Magnus once, using an old wolf mask I made almost a year ago. The costume worked well, was incredibly hot (thermally, but that's what happens when I chose to wear a coat over it), but with a few more adjustments, it could be wearable again and be more convincing.

Re: Furry Fandom
Though I did know some furries at the time I began Zavionce, it's not strictly furry-based. Though the similarity between anthros and weres is there.
I just wanted to try my hand at an RS story, and wanted to include my favorite animal - though looking back at it all now, I probably could've been more original than just thinking "Werefoxes! That'll do it."
You designed a costume on one of your characters? Must've been pretty time-consuming.

Re: Furry Fandom
I had a free day the day before I needed it and the next day was one of our fundraisers in the Sixth Form. It was time-consuming, but I was pleased with it (mostly), but I could work on it a little more next time (presumably use a different material and make a fresh wolf mask).
I've done a sketch of the character on my DeviantArt. I go by the same username on there as I do here, you'll find it if you search for Arzonus.

Re: Furry Fandom
Well... I know two furries. One is my mate I've mentioned, the other is-- well, he's more devout than the former. He's been to fur-fests and everything. We all joke that wearing a mask might be about the only hope he has at-- well, uhum. We're horrible people really. >_<
Re: Furry Fandom
Well I've never been to one. But I'd assume it's like any other fest... but about furries. Like beerfests, music festivals, etc.
Re: Furry Fandom
You should try looking it up on Wikipedia. It's much more deeper than just gatherings. People generally feel at peace believing they are animal. Hard not to understand why when you look at the arrogance of humanity in respect to Earth's creatures, it annoys me so much to see it.
For some people, it has a sexuality involved with it, but probably because they admire the human form, but rather put a different face on it.
