Dreams and Nightmares
This is where our strangest dreams or nightmares can be discussed. It's often thought that dreams can give us a hint into our subconscious and reveal our true intentions. I'll go first with a dream I had several weeks ago.
The earliest point I can recollect was finding myself in a shop, looking at these models that were reduced from £30 to about £8 and £7. I was eager to get them, because of the massive reduction and that they were things I really wanted, and I could afford them, as I can recollect at the time that I had about £15. I picked one up, and couldn’t find the other and didn’t go to the till to finally purchase them.
I come across a small male (somehow in my mind I could tell it was male) fox in the garden. I lured it out with some food and then it gradually came to like me and became partial to strawberry jam tarts. I then adopted it as a pet and then I had to attend a formal event of some kind and took him with me. After returning, it shrunk and fell into a crack in the decking and I followed it to the other side, at which point it turned into a hedgehog and didn’t wish to spend time with me anymore.
I was walking through a wood that was reminiscent of the levels in the LEGO Harry Potter game. I remember coming up to a stage where I couldn’t go in myself, but I instead then switched to a different character and hoped to control them. However, it was still in third person, so I wasn’t actually becoming the character, but instead picking them up and moving them. One of the LEGO sets laid in front of me had a large number of studs (the currency of the game) on it, but would cause the characters to disappear by touching it, so I removed the characters already on it and dismantled the set, revealing it to be partially made of crisps.
In the final segment that I can recall is that I was walking out of a museum and someone had reported a person with gravity manipulation to be inside, causing an implosive effect, distorting the scene. I continued walking to a multi-storey car park that also had petrol pumps within. Suddenly a fire broke out and knowing what happens when fire comes into contact with petrol, I fled the building, yet from a distance, the fire appeared to have not engulfed the building and left everything unharmed. A man in a suit approached me and asked why that was, and I said to him that the fire must have been directed to only burn organic material, so did not burn the metal or the masonry. In the distance I could see Nelson’s Column, with Nelson bending over, and I immediately assumed the gravity effect was spreading. The man in the suit then told me that “I can’t get hold of Bond; he won’t answer his calls”.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Those are really elaborate dreams!
Most of my dreams are about walking through shallow water, in various scenery all alone, and various variations thereof.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Not really, they're most of my dreams, except weird stuff I only remember briefly when I wake up.
Mostly I just walk through knee-high water (I think the water is tepid, never noticed it was hot or cold), I'm alone and I don't remember ever seeing anybody. The scenery changes, cities, forests, nothing at all sometimes, but mainly various cities.
I don't really remember anything ever happening, except for walking around. Once there was current in the water though...
Not as cool as your dreams, and not really as elaborate.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Strange dream.
I've always seen dreams as just alternate worlds created by our imagination - I don't necessarily see them as insights into myself as they can vary so much, and many seem relevant to things I'm doing in real life (like films I've seen, books, etc) rather than things I'm not aware of. I can sometimes even stimulate dreams just by thinking about it before going to sleep.
One of the more notable characters I can remember from my dreams, that has appeared more than once, was SkullGreymon (from Digimon) - only, it's was more like WarGraymon in it's augmenting body parts (like bits of metal). He was destroying my housing estate (back when I lived on one) and when I moved he was destroying my local village. The whole dream was just mean running and trying to save the people I didn't want to die.
What "kick" dreams have people had? You know, where you jump awake.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
I had a kick dream a few years back...
I was on a plane. Flying. I wanna take a sip of my drink, and I notice this tiny pink(!!!) crab thingy in it, made bigger by the water in the glass.
Rigth after that, we're all massively running through the plane walls as the pink(!!!) crabs invade the city. Then I wake up.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
The last one I can remember, although I've had at least one kick since then (without any memory of why) was I was on a train. It was night, the lights were dim and it's was raining, cold and there was thunder. I was running and afraid, someone was chasing me for the kill for something I knew (though I can't remember why or who). Anyway, I knew they were behind me and I was haring up the corridor past rotting corpses and business men who were sitting (or slumped) in the seats.
I went through some doors, slammed them shut and jumped into the seat beside it. Somehow I was on the outside with someone next to me (don't know how) and he was a pleasant old gentleman and suddenly it seemed I was just sat on the train talking to him rather than panicking (in the sense, my feeling changed but what was happening was still happening - someone's trying to skill me but I've just shrugged it off).
Anyway, in a flash of lighting the guy in the seat in front lurched back with a knife straight at me and I woke up with a gasp/panting. I panicked for a bit whilst my mind re-established reality, then I shut my eyes and it happened again. I didn't kick, but the guy lurched over the chair and stabbed me (like a re-run, not just a second go) and I opened my eyes. I literally had to will myself to think about something else.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
There was the one where is was running through a swamp/city hybrid, finally got to my house. Then a T-rex rips off the roof, eats my mother in two bites...then bites of my leg--kick
Or the one where i was playing with bee-bee guns with my neighbors, then the wierd neighbor kid pulls off his jacket revealing bulletproof vest and pulls out a machine gun. Me and my friend run down the alley and the wierd old people come out of their house with shotguns and kill my neighbor, then I get shot by the kid.
Or the one where i forget some piece of homework, jump out of bed, then realize i actually had forgotten to do it.
---------------------------------------
My question: have you ever had a dream, or worse a nightmare, which you woke up from, and then after going to sleep again continued...? Have you ever consciously done this. When i was little i had a nightmare where a huge bumblebee attacked my house and killed my mom (allergic to bees she is) I woke up and ran to my parents room, after going back to bed i found my self running from it in a supermarket...I eventually lured it into a dryer in a back storeroom and killed it..

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Last night was an odd one. It was in RuneScape and a new monster had been revealed, a Mahjarrat known as Masuul (to the best of my recollection). His fortress was in a parallel realm, but the keys to which were in the Wilderness, in a series of maze like tunnels.
Oddly enough, I could venture into thoses tunnels and collect the key fragments on a non-member's world, but could only battle Masuul on the member's world. I had to be cautious, because the only way I could collect the key was on a world where players could attack you.
I had recalled previously visiting this maze of tunnels in a previous dream (or maybe a dream in a dream). The tunnels were considered the safest place in the Wilderness, particularly at level 53 Wilderness, and led to whole multitude of places, all of which have been crucial in past dreams.
I never found the key, but was considering which weapon would be most effective, and a dagger was always thought of as the best thing to fight Masuul with. I only carried the dagger with me, incase of unexpected attacks.
Masuul was rumoured to take the form of a wolf, but I never knew because I never fought him. I couldn't quite make out why I would want to fight him, as it was non-compulsory and I couldn't recall what the reward would have been.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
I've had 'dreams' that make me just randomly feel like I fall off my bed and hit the floor, but I never move and am just jolted awake
A recurring dream I've had was the street is on fire (not a lot, just patches of fire) and the ground is shaking. We couldn't figure out what it was until a T-Rex comes out from the woods
Then we get in a car and try to drive away (it doesn't follow us)... but the street is on fire? :\
I can't remember, it's been like 4 years

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Does anyone ever have it where they can't tell if a memory is real or something they dreamed?

Two characters from zavionce, read it on the rs forums, they have feeling for each other but they don't admit it, kinda. And one day I had a dream of them kissing each other

Dusk, I think you're obsessed with Zavionce, if you're seeing Zendith and Cserra kissing in your dreams ^^

I have one with a beach that resembles something I might have been on once. But then again, it was about waddling through shallow water, so it might just be a dream.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
I had a dream that I went on day out to some huge town, and we went to a lake and had a picnic. It was really windy and we heard on the radio that a small twister was drifting through the town (not causing damage, just moving small objects around).
Apparently that never happened. XD

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
I regularly see my dreams set in woods or wilderness regions. The nightmares that tend to scare me most are those that feature the Cybermen or the Devil.
