Dreams and Nightmares
First topic message reminder :
This is where our strangest dreams or nightmares can be discussed. It's often thought that dreams can give us a hint into our subconscious and reveal our true intentions. I'll go first with a dream I had several weeks ago.
The earliest point I can recollect was finding myself in a shop, looking at these models that were reduced from £30 to about £8 and £7. I was eager to get them, because of the massive reduction and that they were things I really wanted, and I could afford them, as I can recollect at the time that I had about £15. I picked one up, and couldn’t find the other and didn’t go to the till to finally purchase them.
I come across a small male (somehow in my mind I could tell it was male) fox in the garden. I lured it out with some food and then it gradually came to like me and became partial to strawberry jam tarts. I then adopted it as a pet and then I had to attend a formal event of some kind and took him with me. After returning, it shrunk and fell into a crack in the decking and I followed it to the other side, at which point it turned into a hedgehog and didn’t wish to spend time with me anymore.
I was walking through a wood that was reminiscent of the levels in the LEGO Harry Potter game. I remember coming up to a stage where I couldn’t go in myself, but I instead then switched to a different character and hoped to control them. However, it was still in third person, so I wasn’t actually becoming the character, but instead picking them up and moving them. One of the LEGO sets laid in front of me had a large number of studs (the currency of the game) on it, but would cause the characters to disappear by touching it, so I removed the characters already on it and dismantled the set, revealing it to be partially made of crisps.
In the final segment that I can recall is that I was walking out of a museum and someone had reported a person with gravity manipulation to be inside, causing an implosive effect, distorting the scene. I continued walking to a multi-storey car park that also had petrol pumps within. Suddenly a fire broke out and knowing what happens when fire comes into contact with petrol, I fled the building, yet from a distance, the fire appeared to have not engulfed the building and left everything unharmed. A man in a suit approached me and asked why that was, and I said to him that the fire must have been directed to only burn organic material, so did not burn the metal or the masonry. In the distance I could see Nelson’s Column, with Nelson bending over, and I immediately assumed the gravity effect was spreading. The man in the suit then told me that “I can’t get hold of Bond; he won’t answer his calls”.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Basically a robot powered by the human brain. Although, I think that's only the new ones. The original cybermen were still completely organic, but encased in a machine-suit and computer processors in the brain. But that could just be because the costume department was less advanced and created a reason for why they still had bits of human between the tin foil.
...I miss the tin foil. Old school special effects were awesome.
From Doctor Who.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
The Cybermen, from what I know, represent uniformity, assimilation or loss of unique identity.
The Devil is shown as a red beast with large curved horns, the typical image of a demon. Whenever it is appears in a dream, it is always seen in monitors and screens or in books, never as a person.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Whenever I dream of the devil my mind has a sense of humour and makes him a sarcy twat wearing a suit. He makes doing the devil's chores fun/tasteless. A little like Little Nickie's Devil, or from that tv show the Reaper.
Re: Dreams and Nightmares
Wow, last night's was weird. I dreamt that I moved house a bumped into this guy who worked at my local chippie... I followed him in, he went into the kitchen, I watched someone make something out of eggs in a really awesome way, then we went and I followed him home.
'cept, when we left the fish n chip shop suddenly we were somewhere else and we were walking across loads of grass/earthy fields and then there was a river with trees along side it, then a street of houses. We went 'round to his back garden and he had a twin and a little sister who hugged my leg. He was then really mean about the fact I was following him and said "You better head off, it gets dark in about half an hour and then it gets really cold" and for some reason apparently I lived quite far away.
So I ran home, I remember all the roads and the traffic.
*insert hazy bit*
Me and the dude were trying to take water from the river I mentioned above (he said the water was magical and could heal things). Problem was it was a sort of trench it'd carved itself and it was too far down to reach. We fell in and the tree saved us and then picked up my glass and his mug filled with water "there you go little squirrels".
It kept referring to me as a squirrel; "oh, go on then you cute little squirrel" and stuff like that every time we went back for more water.
There was a bit of an adventure bit I can't remember that bit.
