~ Story Insight ~
What was discovered beneath the striking and charismatic scenery of Relleka was not what anyone could expect. . . It’s not the first time that the animal kingdom has taken us by surprise, nor will it likely be the last, but that doesn’t make this mystery any less daunting! Foxes, curiously snooping around an ancient and intriguing tunnel-complex, while fighting away violently against the creation-mimicking and subdued creatures, the Crexa. What we know about either is minimal, but is the little information we have on offer even true!?
Treachery and vengeful mendacity are what fuel the recent occurrences of Relleka, which are little more than a foot-note in a much greater plan! The peculiar caverns and odd-acting foxes serve a grand search, one which shall grant power and revenge to he who sparked the strange occurrence, he who we deemed an ally. . . he who in truth, belongs to a species who’ve thrived beyond the world we know in secret, only now in this upcoming time of hellfire, do they reveal themselves once again!
But the actions of this one interloper may not only burden humanity, but his own hidden race itself! The power of hidden magic and long-lost miracle, crafted by the fusion of both man and fox, has the ability to bathe the world in majesty and wonderment. . . but if used successfully by our devious adversary, they will engulf the world in flames and insanity!
You, Eliot and Barry watched this mysterious and secretive event unfold, why should you be denied seeing it through and learning of its truth!?. . . no matter how dangerous the expedition may be. . . no matter where it may take you. . .

~Step1: Malice under Moonlight ~
Enter the pub in Canifis and speak to Eliot (she only appears here after ‘A Woodland Dilemma’) She will explain her dire situation.
(h) [You]: Eliot! Fancy meeting you here!
(u) Eliot: Oh, Hi [You] ... How’s it going?
(t) [You]: Are you okay? You seem a bit upset.
(u) Eliot: To say the least! You’ll never believe what happened!
Choice- [You]:
-1. (o) Your probably right. Well, see you later.
-2. (h) Try me!
[ 1. Cancels quest beginning. 2. Continues scene]
(a) Eliot: I came ALL this way down to Canifis to get an ingredient for plant-food. Just to end up getting detained!
(su) [You]: Detained!?
(u) Eliot: yes, a werewolf named Rufus caught me and starting talking about some mine under the village.
(s) Eliot: He, along with some others, said it was now my duty to extract “Daeyalt ore” or something like that, from the mines! And if I resisted then I... I would...
(u) Eliot: Ugh! I don’t want to think about it! They said they would be recruiting other humans as well! So you might not wanna stick around!
Choice- [You]:
1.(o) Why don’t I speak to Rufus for you? I’m sure I could deal with it.
2.(s) *gulp* Good call, I’m outta here!
[1. Continues Scene. 2. Cancels Quest Beginning]
(h) Eliot: Oh, thanks so much, [You]!
Now walk over to the butcher's where Rufus is working. Listen to what he has to say to help Eliot. (you’ll be given a choice on whether you want to shop or talk about Eliot)
(o) [You]: Hello Rufus..
(s h) Rufus: ...Yes...?
(o) [You]: It’s come to my attention that you’ve sent a friend of mine into forced labour. I... don’t suppose you’d willingly let her go?
(l) Rufus: Ha! Right, sure, I’ll just throw out my inventory too while I’m at it!
(sh) [You* Touché.
(e) Rufus: If you want to be with her that bad, why don’t I just send you to the mines with her?
Choice: [You]-
1.(s) Whoa, let’s not get hasty! I’m sorry.
2.(a) Have you forgotten that it was I who saved you from the Ring of Charos? Rufus, It’s the LEAST you could do in return!
[1. Cancels scene. 2. Continues scene.]
(t) Rufus: Hmmm... Alright, if you think she’s incapable, why don’t you take her place?
(o) [You]: I... guess I could mine the odd ore or two...
(l) Rufus: Hahaahaa, excellent! Allow me to fill you in...
(o) Rufus: We’ve recently found deposits of Daeyalt Ore in a cave system under Canifis. Those high-and-mighty Vyrewatch have always lived prosperously, perhaps their large supply of the stuff led to their rise to power?
(o) Rufus: With this in mind, WE want some! Perhaps it holds a secret which can lead Canifis to secure its share of power...
(o) Rufus: But we’re far too busy here to go mining, so...
(e) Rufus: We’re getting a few “travelling humans” to do it!
(sh) [You]: Charming... Well if it sets Eliot free, I’ll get started then.
(o) Rufus: Wait! It’s not that simple; the entrance to this ancient mine shaft has a seal which requires a Keystone to bypass. We werewolves constructed these seals many years ago to keep areas private; Werewolves can simply pass through, everything else must present a keystone.
(o) [You]: How do I get the keystone for the mines?
(t) Rufus: Well many of the keystones have been scattered, broken and dumped around Canifis after they just weren’t needed anymore. I’m going to guess the stone for the mines is out there somewhere.
(o) Rufus: Here, take a look at this...
[Rufus presents a picture of a coloured, patterned stone.]
(o) Rufus: that’s what you need to find. Collect all its parts from around here and place them together. Make sure they’re the right ones.
(a) Rufus: Come see me afterwards.
Search around Canifis to find Keystone Shards. There is 3 correct pieces that will form the keystone, they will be the same colour as the pic Rufus showed you and when placed together, will show the same pattern (so make sure you don’t pick one up with the right colour but wrong pattern!)
‘Search’ the bushes, trees, rocks etc. Around Canifis to find them. 1 will be in the small ponds near the village, when searching there you will need a fishing rod and 15 Fishing to reach it.
Upon finding your first piece (right or wrong) you will witness a quick cutscene.
(t) [You]: Huh?
Something catches your eye as you pick up the keystone fragment. You see a few orange fur-hairs hidden amongst the undergrowth.
(t) [You]: Weird... there’s nothing with bright fur like that around here...
Once you find the other 2 correct shards, place all 3 together. Talk to Rufus again after your convinced you have the right Keystone.
(h) [You]: I’ve found the mine’s Keystone!
(sh) Rufus: Took your time, did*’t you? Alright, the entrance is within a tunnel behind the tavern. Look for the rift with the magic seal and present the keystone.
(o) Rufus: A friend of mine, named Reaver, is excavating the mines as we speak. Speak to him to get started.
(e) Rufus: Now mush!
* Step2: Murder in the Mineshaft ~
Proceed to the trapdoor behind the ‘Hair of the Dog’ Inn (the one used in the myrique series) and climb down.
From here, pass by all the rifts in the walls until you find a new one with a glow surrounding it. Use your Keystone on it and you will be allowed through.
You need to make it through the long mine-shaft before you reach Reaver. Although there aren’t any obstacles or puzzles down here, there are many enemies, including;
Shadow Spiders,
Skeletons,
& Crypt Rats
As soon as you reach the ore deposit you will view a cutscene.
You enter the dark, gloomy mineshaft lit only by a few dim torches and the green glow of Daeyalt ore, the sound of a pickaxe smashing against a rock can be heard from the corner. There, you see the werewolf Reaver. Prepare for a long & revealing cutscene.
(t) [You]: Erm... Excuse me?
Reaver rose up, stressed and annoyed.
(a) Reaver: Who is it, whatd’ya want!? I’m busy enough as it is!
(sh) [You]: Nice to meet you too... Rufus sent me.
(o) [You]: I’m filling in for Eliot.
(a) Reaver: About time! Ive been waiting down here for hours! Ive had to get a start on this myself!
(o) Reaver: You’d better get going then. Is there anything you need to know first?
(t) [You]: Yeah... What do you intend to do with this? I mean, we both know the Vyrewatch might have made use of it, but how?
Reaver just chuckled malevolently...
(e) Reaver: Sorry little human, that secret stays between me and Rufus!
(?) ????: Or rather, Rufus can enjoy it himself...
(t) Reaver: huh?
(t) [You]: ??
Your attention turns to the ceiling above you, high and distant, where a bright orange blur leaps with speed down the shaft, wielding two threatening blades! Reaver then joins you in curiosity, but it is too late...
Reaver has been struck aside!! The enigmatic assassin simply stays crouched, looking down, as you gaze on in shock and surprise, trying to contemplate what just happened.
(s) [You]: R...Reaver?
(a) [You]: Wh...Who are you?! What did you just-
The mysterious figure slowly rose, and you soon began to realise...
The clothes, the hair,...
It was Vulpra! But he does seem quite ~different~ from before; Vulpra was none other than a humanoid creature of exuberant hide, sharpened claw, glistening fang and piercing gaze! A Werefox! He looked precisely like an anthropomorphic vulpine. The sight was stunning, yet a little frightening.
(d) Vulpra: It’s good to see you again, [You]...
His voice was no longer innocent and childlike.
(s) [You]: V.. Vulpra? Is it you?
And as suddenly as he had arrived, Vulpra had leapt up and away out of sight. Leaving you perplexed and enraged. You had been fooled, by a creature entirely unknown to Gielinor, no less! After looking down at Reaver again you notice a bright object sitting in his hand, you bend down to collect it.
[You obtain a Map Scrap]
(t) [You]: What’s this?... some piece of a map? ... Anyway, I’d better tell Rufus what’s happened here...
(s h) [you]: I’m sure Eliot will be rather interested too. . .
With the map piece, run back through the mine (forget about the Daeyalt Ore) until you reach the entrance. Upon exiting, another scene will play. The scene will fade in on you, Eliot, Rufus and a few other werewolves.
(s) Rufus: Reaver is... he’s dead!?
(o) [You]: Afraid so. He was ambushed in the mines, I couldn’t help him fast enough.
(u) [You]: I’m... I’m sorry.
(t) {Werewolf 1}: Who would ambush Reaver? He did*’t seem to have any enemies.
(a) {Werewolf 2} *SnAAaarll*... It doesn’t matter...
(a) Rufus: We’ll destroy ‘em all the same!!
(t) Eliot: Um... Excuse me, but this seems like a troubled time for you right now. Should I just... leave?
(u) Rufus: *sigh* Yes, just go... we have more important matters to attend to now.
(h) Eliot: Score!
(sh) [You]: Don’t push it Eliot...
Eliot and you walk off to the entrance of Canifis
(h) Eliot: Thanks for that [You], I thought I was done for!
(o) [You]: My pleasure Eliot. Now listen, I’ve got something important to tell you...
[You tell Eliot about everything that happened in the mines]
(su) Eliot: Vulpra is a... “Werefox”!?
(a) [You]: That’s right, and he doesn’t seem to be a very kind-hearted canine either! Look at this...
[You show the map fragment to Eliot]
(t) Eliot: A map?
(o) [You]: A piece of it. I reckon that if we place it together, we’ll find a place that Vulpra doesn’t want anyone to know about. Maybe that’s why he killed Reaver.
(t) [You]: Where to start looking though...

(l) Eliot: A mystery in connection with animals; I say you give Barry a try!
~ Step3: Scrap Scravanging ~
As Eliot said, talk to Barry at Ardougne Zoo and show him the map scrap.
(h) Barry: [You]! How have you been?
(h) [You]: hey Barry, I’ve been...
(t) [You]: Erm, kinda busy lately to be honest, here, does this mean anything to you?
[You show Barry the map scrap]
(su) Barry: How the- Where’d you get that?
(h) [You]: You recognise it?
(su) Barry: I sure do! Look!
[Barry shows you another segment of the map]
(su) Barry: I found this one a while back, on a trip to Morytania. Look at the back..
[You flip the paper over to see a piece of writing on the back, it reads...]
“Where the final white tree grows, she surveys over all she knows”
(t) [You]: It’s like it’s hinting toward someplace. Let’s see if mine says anything...
“The island holding me, is what the fishers at Catherby see.*
(h) *You]: Following these might just uncover a thing or two! Barry, do you mind if I take this?
(t) Barry: Not at all...
(h) [You]: Thanks. I’ll tell you what’s been going on afterwards.
You now have 2 of 6 map scraps, each lead to 2 others, which, if all are found, make up the complete map. The riddles and their answers are as follows;
Scrap 1: “Where the final white tree grows, she surveys over all she knows”
~ Search a rock near the Oracle (gives you Scrap 3)
Scrap 2: “The island holding me, is what the fishers at Catherby see.”
~ Search a small shrub on the island with the water obelisk, you’ll need to proceed through Taverly Dungeon to get there. (Gives you Scrap 4)
Scrap 3: “Those in Lumbridge do not think, about the secret in the sink”
~ Search the sink in the Cellar of Lumbridge Castle (gives you Scrap 5)
Scrap 4: “Across the burning bubbles, on an island made of rubble”
~ New section: a solitary platform in the lava pools near the Battlefield, grapple across from the main ruins (requires 48 Agility) and search the rubble on there.
(gives you Scrap 6)
Now that you have all 6 map scraps; click on one to place them all together to obtain a ‘complete map’. Reading it will show you a picture of a part of Morytania, an ‘X’ on the corner of the twisting road between Mort’ton, The Haunted Mine, and The Mort Myre Swamp will have 2 law runes, blood runes and soul runes next to it. Between them is a small image of a stick figure beckoning. Return to Barry.
(t) Barry: Do you plan to tell me just what’s been going on now?
(h) [You]: Heh, sorry about that. Here, look, I assembled the map.
[You and Larry look at the map together]
(t) Barry: It looks like part of Morytania... But these symbols seem to represent something... I’m sure it will all make sense soon enough.
(o) Barry: Why did you assemble this anyway? What’s so important about it?
[You tell Barry about everything that happened in the mines]
(su) Barry: So Vulpra is AGAINST us??
(a) Barry: Bah! And some people had the nerve to call Larry and I mad! This is exactly the kind of thing he’d been warning them all about!
(o) [You]: Well regardless Barry, I’ve got to sort this out.
(h) Barry: Well count me in! I saw this dilemma start out, I wanna see it through to the end! This’ll prove to people it’s better to be safe than sorry!
~ Step 4: Ville of the Vulpine ~
Take 2 law runes, soul runes and blood runes to the spot marked on the map, and use the Beckon emote. A crystalline gate will appear for you to proceed through.
(su) Eliot: Whoa, what is THIS?
(o) [You]: Looks like this is where the map led us.
(a) [You]: Now be careful, alright? We have no idea what could be through here!
As the 3 of you walk through the gate, welcomed by a comforting light, it only takes seconds for you to emerge in a lush, forest-like settlement. Like a city but only, much ‘greener’, far more beautiful than Morytania, which made them question whether that’s where they still were... They had reached the hidden settlement beyond the human mainlands,
a society of magic bound by secrecy, the Werefox city of Zavionce!
(t) Barry: Who’s that over there?
Following Barry’s finger, you see a guard of sorts by the boundaries of the city, quite a few metres from where the group is standing. But...
(a) [You]: A Werefox!
(su) Eliot: I can’t believe it! Th-They’re real!?
(a) [You]: If their anything like Vulpra, then they’ll be hostile towards us! We’d better keep a low profile...
The camera pans off to the side to show a fence/wall that you could sneak behind.
As the scene hinted, you should run behind the fence/wall to get deeper into the city without being seen by any citizens...
As you run along, you’ll notice that the fence leads behind a row of housing, completely obscuring any view between you and the denizens. Watch out though, because as you run from house to house, you may still get spotted through the gaps between them; thus you restart this section.
A long & informative scene will occur after reaching the end.
‘As you crouch on your knees, focused on your objective, eyes fixed on the colourful surroundings, you fail to notice a dark shadow creeping up behind you... suddenly grabbing your attention as you hear footsteps on the grass... you turn around, taken by shock!!
(t) Zendith: Can I help you at all?...
The scene fades and re-emerges in the centre of Zavionce. You, Eliot and Larry at one side of a debate, Zendith (the guard who found you) and a girl named Cserra at the other, both were clearly Werefoxes.
(s a)Zendith: So what this comes down to is: your snooping around Zavionce, “investigating” our community, hoping to find ‘some dirt on us’ just because of the actions of ONE citizen?
(a) Eliot: Well, how would YOU feel if you discovered that “one citizen” was a psychotic animal? Wouldn’t you be worried?
(u) Cserra: This is even worse than we thought! What if... what if all species turn on us? We don’t even have a reputation to defend ourselves with anymore...
(t) [You]: You seem pretty upset by what Vulpra’s up too. If he’s causing such concern to his homeland, why would he do it?
(o) Zendith: There are many differences between humans and Werefoxes, [You]... But ‘variation of opinion’ isn’t one of them. And Vulpra’s “opinions” are as varied as they get! But I’m not without sympathy for him...
(su) Barry: Even after all he’s done!? Even after killing like that!?
(u) Cserra: I agree that Vulpra must be stopped, but there is indeed a reason behind his actions.
(o) Cserra: You seem somewhat involved in this already, which I’m terribly sorry for, but perhaps you’d be interested in what this is really about?
Choice: [You]-
1: (o) About time! An explanation would go down great right now!
2: (t) Right now? ... err, I’d actually better get going, for the moment...
[1. Continues scene. 2. Cancels scene]
(as Cserra reminisces, you see flashbacks of the moments she refers too)
(u) Cserra: All right. Like many creatures in Gielinor, Werefoxes have a grand longevity...
(u) Cserra: We existed during an unfortunate era of Morytania’s immense past, a little-known history of homelands...
(u) Cserra: Before, there was another settlement by a distant side of the region, unnamed and rather subdued in comparison to the other towns and villages. . . many years ago. The werefoxes’ former haunt. . .
(o) Cserra: But the common savagery of the realm’s fauna as well as the area being prime settling ground led to many a battle being fought for home and kin! The pinpoint of this story revolves around one of those battles...
(s) Cserra: I remember it as plain as day, despite my young age! As my mother led me away from the battlefield we dubbed home, I saw little Vulpra, just crouching there! Alone! Terrified!
(u) [You]: He... he was caught in the midst of it?
(u) Cserra: He would’ve been KILLED! Had his family not rushed in suddenly to protect him! But it all went so horribly wrong...
(u) Cserra: Too busy focusing on Vulpra, they were all immediately struck down, and Vulpra could only sit there... he had watched his own family die in front of him! He was too young to truly comprehend what had happened, yet it still stuck and hurt him more than any mortal wound could ever hope to!
(o) Cserra: It was then that one of our elders was finally able to step in, his magics fully charged, he brought an abrupt end to the battle, thus saving Vulpra.
(o) Cserra: It wasn’t long after that, that we decided our time amidst such cruelty and despicability should be brought to an end. With our talents in magic we created a gateway to a distant forest... we weren’t very proud of our connections with Morytania...
(t) Cserra: As Vulpra grew up, he had a constant obsession with combat and revenge fantasies, he would often study warfare, trying to find reason and justice in it’s existence. But because of what he’d went through he could never find it, no matter what the battles were for.
(u) Cserra: One day, in his studies he came across an artefact called ‘The Canine Sceptre’, a miraculous teleportation device. He would often brag to us about what “brilliant plans he now had to get revenge on everything that still loved their warfare!”
(t) [You]: That would explain why he felt the way he did back in Canifis...
(u) Cserra: it wasn’t until he had left when we came across ~another~ topic he had studied...
(u) Cserra: “Infamous Werefoxes throughout history”. A book documenting dark Werefoxes from our time, so that we may not make the same moral errors as they. Within its pages was a large chapter about one Werefox in particular: Lawzeaus.
(s) Eliot: “Lawzeaus”?
(a) Zendith: Lawzeaus was a true heathen of history! Even our elders would quake at the memories of him. If you think Vulpra’s lost his mind, wait till you get a load of THIS guy! Despite our neutral alignment, many considered him veritable spawn of Zamorak!
(t) Cserra: You see, Lawzeaus had a constant thirst for power, and as his power grew, so did his prejudiced against existence, he began to see many creatures as “inferior”. This way of his leaked out into society, and many began to think of Werefoxes as... well, evil!
(o) Cserra: thankfully, after a long battle, the elders bested him and wore him down, but even with all their might they still couldn’t properly kill Lawzeaus! So they did the next best thing...
(o) Cserra: They teleported him into a Dream Dimension, in which his powers were sealed, hence trapping him!
Choice: [You]-
-1. (t) That still doesn’t explain Vulpra’s motives.
-2. (s) Could I have a minute? This is quite a lot to take in!
[1. Continues scene. 2. Cancels scene but continues at this point later]
(u) Cserra: Don’t you see!? If Vulpra gets his paws on the Canine Sceptre AND completes the summoning ritual; he can use its powers to free Lawzeaus from eternal imprisonment! Then he would continue his onslaught across Gielinor, and Vul**a would finally see all species associated with battle ERASED!
(o) [You]: So what has to be done... is to prevent Vulpra from finishing his quest?
(h) Cserra: Precisely!
(t) Cserra: It won’t be very easy though, I’m certain Vulpra HAS the sceptre by now! It’s been so long...
(u) Eliot: To be honest, I feel guilty about fighting Vulpra after hearing about his past.
(o) Zendith: To fight someone who has been through such sorrow is indeed a tragedy, but if we let him continue he will simply unleash such agony on others! He has... “Surpassed* the darkness he once endured...
(o) Zendith: Vulpra’s goal started out as a mission... a mission to cleanse the world of conflict, a truly marvellous ambition.
(u) Zendith: But his glory slowly transformed into a malformed madness! And vengeance swept over him like a plague!
(t) [You]: So I guess we have no choice. But if he has the sceptre, how do we stop him?
(o) Cserra: Why not ask Aiven? He’s the elder who specialises in combat affairs. We’ll see to it you have permission.
Look around for the Zavionce Temple; The Sanctum of Solace, and find Aiven inside to finish the cutscene.
(o) [You]: Um..I, uh, beg your pardon... sir...?
(o) Aiven: Please, no need to for formalities! I’ve been informed why you are here.
(o) Aiven: You seek a way to defeat Vulpra, before he releases Lawzeaus from his prison. This would be a great service not only to us, but to many creatures around our world!
(t) [You]: I’m glad to hear that, but I’m not sure how it can be done! According to Cserra, Vulpra will most likely have the Canine Sceptre by now.
(h) Aiven: that is true. HOWEVER; this presents us with a great tactic against him! Vulpra travelled to each of the 3 Canine temples in order to retrieve the sections of the sceptre,
while Vulpra may have the official pieces, we can create our own to build a countermeasure!
(o) Aiven: It will require quite some skill to assemble…
(h) [You]: No problem! I’m good at this sort of stuff!
(t) [You]: …!
(a) [You]: Hey, wait! With all due respect sir, why am I the one doing this? Why can't Zavionce’s kin deal with it?
(o) Aiven: A few reasons…
(o) Aiven: 1. You’ve proven you aptitude for challenges by making it this far. 2. Vulpra knows we’re aware of his plans, if he summons Lawzeaus he’ll most likely attack Zavionce first. We need all our defences ready at all times! And 3. there’s a reward in it for you…
(su) [You]: A reward you say!?
(l) Aiven: Well, after hearing about you courageous battles, I know you’re rather “interested” in weaponry.
(you turn around and for the first time, notice how opulent and glittering the jewel-incrusted sabres of the Werefoxes were)
(o) Aiven: I won’t say anymore, It’ll give you something to look forward too. Now, here’s your mission…
(o) Aiven; the 3 canine temples are spread throughout Gielinor; the Temple of Canisd, the Temple of Lupione, and the Temple of Vulpaen. Each protected segments of the powerful sceptre, and each require a passage-crest to enter, which are split in 3 shards and hidden. Once you find and assemble them you will need a suitable gem to bless your makeshift sceptre pieces with. Here…
[Aiven passes you an enchantment scroll and an ornate mould]
(o) Aiven: use these to finish your task, Cserra will give you any help you need.
~ Step 5: The Temple of Canisd ~
Now, obviously you WILL need Cserra’s help, considering you don’t have any leads to go on. The temples can be done in any order but I’ll explain them in the order of Canisd, Lupione, Vulpaen.
Speak to Cserra to get started.
(h) Cserra: How can I help you, [You]?
Choice: [You]-
-1. I need hints about the Canisd temple
-2. I need hints about the Lupione temple
-3. I need hints about the Vulpaen temple
[Each will make Cserra give help about the suitable passage-right. Upon selecting 1...]
(t) Cserra: Ah, the canine order of our genus. They keep the crest pieces “close to their heart”. They wouldn’t give them away lightly… I know one piece resides in Yanille, but the other two are probably held by dogs thought worthy of them. Try to find them and get on their ‘good side’.
[upon selecting 2…]
(t) Cserra: The lupine crest, hm?... The wolves are very protective of its shards. White wolf mountain probably holds one, I’d bet Canifis knows about them too… however I also remember hearing about an accomplished summoner who retrieved one from a Spirit Wolf!
[Upon selecting 3…]
(o) Cserra: The vulpine’s crest? We used to protect ours through secrecy, but along the line we lost track of them. I know one is still held by a denizen of the city, but the other two were stolen. I know Vulpra took one away, but I wouldn’t know where he’d store it. And the other just went missing!
We did uncover small paw prints… so it must’ve been a fox cub… I wonder where it is now...
Now, at last, you can finally set out to do some adventuring. We’ll start with the dog’s temple.
The easiest fragments to find are in Varrock and Yannile.
Passage piece 1 (Canisd)= Go to Yannile pet shop and search around. You’ll eventually find the passage piece
(su) [You]: Wow! The owner must have found it on one of the dogs! I’d better make this quick before they realise…
Passage Piece 2 (Canisd)= Get some Dragon bones (or better) and go to Varrock, give them to one of the stray dogs wandering around and you’ll receive the second piece.
Passage Piece 3 (Canisd)= This one takes a bit more time. You must ensure your pet dog is very happy and well fed and then talk to it to be given the 3rd piece.
(h) Dog: Yip yip!
(t) [You]: What have you got for me, boy?
(you are given a passage piece)
(su) [you] …!
Place them together and go back to Cserra to learn about the temple’s location
(h) Cserra: hey, you got the green crest of Canisd! That’s great!
(t) Cserra: Now, you’ll need your mould, gemstone, scroll and spell while braving the tomb. I know it’s in a region where both dogs and cats were worshiped…
very different from the forest… I can’t recall its name, sorry.
===Following occurs after you show her 1 crest===
(o) Cserra: Here... I want you to have this. You really do seem able to help! You really could give us hope! It’s a rare amulet created by only the best of our craftsmen! Use it as you see fit...
*Cserra grants you a Foxspeak Amulet]
===
You may remember that the desert citizens in Sophanem respect canines and felines, look for a cave entrance outside that city and present the Green Crest along with the required items (the gemstone needed is emerald)
The temple consists of several rooms, each of which hold a tiny puzzle which is shown on the walls.
Also, beware of Canine Archers and Hecticos Glyphs which attack you as you progress from room to room.
Room 1/4: On the ground are several podiums, each a different shade of brown. The walls show an Anubis-like creature bowing on a very dark rock while others praise him. Stand on the darkest podium and bow to open the wall to continue.
Room 2/4: One side of the room has 3 demonic heads. The walls show another creature picking a fight with a red demon. Beckon in front of the red head to proceed.
Room 3/4: The floor holds multiple tablets in a circle, each a different shape. The walls show a creature studying a triangle tablet, trying to make sense of it. Stand on/near the triangle tablet and Think.
Room 4/4: the furthest wall is covered by a large, thick pillar. The other 3 have separate pictures and circle stones on the floor near them. The left wall shows creatures dancing, Dance on the circle near it. The right wall shows creatures jigging, Jig on its circle. The back wall shows creatures waving, Wave on its circle.
The pillar will crumble, revealing a bright, empty stand, use the mould on it and then enchant your emerald. You can now leave the temple.
Find a furnace (there is one in Zavionce) and make a Sceptre Segment from a gold bar with your ornate mould, next use your enchanted emerald on it to complete the limb!
~ Step 6: The Temple of Lupione ~
The 3 pieces of the Blue Crest are as follows;
Passage Piece 1 (Lupione)= As Cserra mentioned; the wolves are protective of their crest pieces, so this task involves a fight. Visit White Wolf Mountain and look for the ‘pack-leader wolf’ (level 65) and defeat it, it will drop the passage piece.
Passage Piece 2 (Lupione)= Return to Canifis and talk to Rufus, if you mention the passage piece to him he’ll simply refuse to give it to you. But try it again with the Ring of Charos...
(o) [You]: Rufus, I know you have a piece of the wolf’s crest. It’s ironic that I have to do this but, sorry...
(s) Rufus: Agh! What is... Y-Yes I have that crest fragment!... H-Here...
(Rufus “willingly” hands over the passage piece)
(h) [You]: Thank you!
(a) Rufus: You’ll pay for that!!
(o) [You]: Relax, if you want Reaver avenged then I’ll need it
(sh) Rufus: Hmph...
Passage Piece 3 (Lupione)= The summoner that Cserra mentioned was in fact Pickupstix! Talk to him to obtain the piece.
(o) [You]: Hello again, Pickupstix, I was wondering if I could talk to you about a blue fragment you might have come across?
(u) Pickupstix: Oh no, I had feared it had a real use!...
(t) [You]: What are you talking about?
(u) Pickupstix: I’m sorry [You] but I used it to call a specific familiar.
(s) [You]: You what!? But I NEED that fragment! Can’t you get it back somehow?
(o) Pickupstix: well, yes. But it’ll take quite a drain on you... yes, you. You’re the one who wants it after all.
(a) [You]: ...
(o) Pickupstix: Simply pray with all you heart at the obelisk downstairs. Call out for that fragment and that familiar should bestow it to you.
There isn’t actually a challenge here, just pray at the obelisk and watch a cinematic of a very grand and graceful spirit wolf arrive from the spirit realm! It will slowly approach you and hand you (or ‘paw you’) the passage piece. This will drain 10 prayer points.
Place them together and go back to Cserra to learn about the temple’s location
(h) Cserra: hey, you got the blue crest of Lupione! That’s great!
(u) Cserra: But... sorry [You], all I know about the temple’s location is that it’s in Morytania somewhere! But I don’t know the exact spot...
(u) Cserra: I also doubt many Morytanian’s would be willing, or able, to help you.
(u) [You]: Well someone has to! I can’t just wander around Morytania for hours!
(t) Cserra: Well, I have heard of one group, who exist to bring order and peace back to the dire realm, I think their name was “The Myreque” or something...
(su) [You]: Hey yeah! Veliaf should be able to help!

QUEST 2: 'FROM MISSION TO MADNESS'
¤.¸•´•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¤.¸•´•.¸¸.•´¯`•. Continued
- Spoiler:
Visit the pub cellar in Burgh De Rott and convince Veliaf to join your cause.
(o) Veliaf: Well met, [You]!
(o) [You]: Well met Veliaf. Listen I need your help with something...
(t) Veliaf: Go on.
(o) [You]: I was wondering if you knew the location of a certain ‘Temple of Lupione’ somewhere in Morytania?
(su) Veliaf: Its... been a while, but yes! I remember the tomb from my earlier travels!
(o) Veliaf: If you’re going in you’ll need a partner, there is a call for teamwork within.
(t) [You]: I don’t suppose you could come? I mean, your already familiar with it.
(u) Veliaf: Of course I’d help [You], but I can’t abandon my post. You do know the responsibilities the Myrique uphold.
[You tell Veliaf about the situation, you feel a bit weary of telling this story by now...]
(a) Veliaf: Hrmm, so there is more to Morytania’s villainy than the Vyrewatch...
(h) [You]: So you’ll help?
(o) Veliaf: I suppose I must, what freedom-fighters would we be if we fought one danger and overlooked another?
(t) Veliaf: the entrance is within the Haunted Wood, I’ll meet you by the entrance.
Search the Haunted Wood for the ‘Temple of Lupione’. The fact that Veliaf will be wandering around outside it is a bit of a location giveaway. Remember to bring your Blue Crest, gemstone (sapphire), mould, scroll and runes.
(a) Veliaf: Listen carefully. The traps inside trigger when someone attempts to reach the crux of the temple, you will need to disarm or divert these traps so I can make it across and open the way.
Once inside you will come across Canine Swordsmen and Axiolt Glyphs, these enemies can be bothersome but don’t have to be fought. Ahead is 2 passages, Veliaf will take the right route and you should take the left, as Veliaf walks onward, the walls near you will begin to move and react. These are the traps beginning to activate...
You need to protect Veliaf from them; here’s what you should expect.
ARROW TRAP: a shifting wall will eventually shoot arrows at Veliaf; simply click on the wall to disarm them
RUSHING BOULDER: The wall will crash open and roll a boulder down to Valiaf’s route. It rolls slowly so you have time to click on it and intercept it.
FLOOR SPEARS: You’ll see a large switch on the floor, if not pressed fully; spears will shoot up from the floor of Veliaf’s route, click on it numerously to push it all the way down.
Veliaf has 700HP, for every failed disarming he will suffer 100HP damage. If he runs out you’ll need to restart the task.
When Veliaf reaches the end he’ll pull a lever which opens a chamber door at the end of your path. Walk inside and you’ll see another stand like the one in the Temple of the Dog. Like before, it is empty, but you can use your mould on it to gain its shape, enchant your sapphire. Leave the temple.
Regardless of how you exit, you will witness a small bit of dialogue from Veliaf
(o) Veliaf: Well Ive done all I can, [You]... but don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye out for this “Vulpra”. Good luck and fight on.
(o) [You]: Thank you, Veliaf.
Use the mould, your enchanted sapphire and a gold bar on a furnace to complete the second limb!
~ Step7: The Temple of Vulpaen ~
The 3 pieces of the Red Crest are as follows;
Passage Piece 1 (Vulpaen)= This piece is a bit sneaky (unless you’ve read this ) as Cserra says, a denizen of Zavionce has it... You may be tempted to think “The elders! One of them will have it, surely!” or “What about Zendith?”. Nope! You might have seen a young Werefox vixen playing with something as you’ve wandered around the city. Yep...
(h) {cub}: Hey mister!
(The cub’s toy catches your eye)
(t) [You]: Hello... um, what’s that you’re playing with?
(l) {cub}: Oh, just some rock from father’s cupboard!
(u) {cub}: Um... but please don’t tell him that I took it...
(s h) [You]: Y’know... if you gave that to me, he’d NEVER find out you did.
(h) {cub}: Good thinkin’! I guess you can kinda keep it, it did*’t really seem that special after all.
(s h) [You]: You don’t say...
[You’re given a Passage Piece]
Passage Piece 2 (Vulpaen)= Wear the Foxspeak Amulet and bring out your pet fox from ‘A Woodland Dilemma’. (Bring a chicken as well) Speak to the little guy.
(h) Pet Fox: Hey, nice amulet! Lookin’ good!
(l) [You]: Hahaha! Thanks, gee I guess Cserra was right about this thing being special!
(h) Pet Fox: You bet! She doesn’t give ‘em out lightly.
(t) [You]: Wait, have you met her before?
(l) Pet Fox: Of course! I used to live in Zavionce when I was a newborn y’know.
(t) [You]: Uh-huh?... You wouldn’t know about a missing Passage Piece would you?
(h) Pet Fox: That old thing? Yeah, I got it right here, I took it from an old altar ages ago!
(l) Pet Fox: And they still haven’t caught me!
(o) [You]: Well I have, c’mon give it here.
(h) Pet Fox: Listen, I know why you need it and everything. I know what it does... but I also know how valuable it is...
(u) [You]: Your kidding...
(o) Pet Fox: One chicken please.
(a) [You]: Ahhh c’mon! Cant I just HAVE it?
(l) Pet Fox: Wow, you don’t seem to worry about the world THAT much after all!
Choice: [You]-
-(sa): All right, all right! Here!
-(sa): Apparently, neither do you... I’ll think about it.
[1. Continues scene (assuming you have a chicken) 2. Cancels scene]
(h) Pet Fox: Ah, an excellent choice, sir.
(s a) [You]: hmm...
Passage Piece 3 (Vulpaen)= The last piece is just as easy to get, but thankfully less time consuming. Return to Relleka and Search a room in the second section of ‘the devious den’ to find it!
Once more, visit Cserra
(h) Cserra: hey, you got the red crest of Vulpaen! That’s great!
(h) Cserra: Now, you’ll need your mould, gemstone, scroll and spell while braving the tomb. But I know just where it is! Do you know of a place called Relleka Crevice?
(su) [You]: Y-Yeah, that’s where we first met Vulpra!
(o) Cserra: Its hardly surprising, considering part of the sceptre’s hidden within the area’s secret ruins!
(t) [You]: Now I see... Those old tunnels were dilapidated parts of Vulpaen Temple! The foxes inside might’ve been trying to help him... while the ones attacking him wanted it to remain safe!
(u) [You]: If I only I knew the truth back then...
(o) Cserra: Well you do now, and we still have time! Tell you what’ll cheer you up; I know the correct way to enter the temple, so I’ll meet you down there to give you a hand, ok?
Follow her advice and return to Relleka Crevice.
On arrival you will notice a tomb entrance has been uncovered from the crevice-wall. Cserra will be standing nearby. Present your crest (again, along with the other necessary items. The required gemstone is ruby)
(h) Cserra: that’s it! We’re in!
(t) Cserra: Our temple is protected by those favouring combat as defences of choice. We’ll have to work this out together.
(h) Cserra: I know how to calibrate the seals of the doors inside, so ill handle that. Back me up by holding off the creatures inside, [You]!
(o) Cserra: Make sure your well equip before you go in.
The task in the Vulpaen Temple isn’t a puzzle, but more an endurance test. Cserra will run towards the door at the back of the room and tinker-around with it. A gauge at the top of the screen will fill as she works with the door’s seal, when it maxes out you may progress to the next room. Each of the 4 rooms take longer to open than the previous.
You’ll encounter Canine Mages, Hecticos Glyphs and Axiolt Glyphs in here, and they will attack Cserra as she opens the doors, it’s your job to defend her either by defeating them or healing her. Simply provoking the enemies to attack you will work just as well. Click on her to give her a small amount of your HP (she initially has 2000) this will also fill the gauge slightly. Defeating all enemies maxes out the gauge instantly.
Room 1: 4 Canine Mages
Room 2: 1 Canine Mage, 2 Hecticos Glyphs, 1 Axiolt Glyph
Room 3: 3 Hecticos Glyphs, 4 Axiolt Glyphs
Room 4: 3 of each!
(Unless your well prepared, defeating ALL enemies is out of the question. The glyphs are difficult to defeat, especially in numbers.)
After clearing room 4 you’ll enter another chamber with an empty stand, repeat the familiar process.
After finishing the 3rd and final limb of the sceptre, you can return to Zavionce for the final challenge of the quest!
* Step8: To Sabotage the Summoning ~
Talk to Aiven for your next, very simple, task.
(h) [You]: Ive created the three Sceptre Segments!
(o) Aiven: Excellent [You], we’re almost there!
(o) Aiven: Your final task is to make the stem of the sceptre, you can use your mould for the final time on the stand in this temple.
You are shown another bright stand close by, use the opulent mould on it then bring it and your last gold bar to the nearby furnace to create the sceptre stem. Use one piece with another to place it all together!
(You notice a strange resemblance in the Canine Sceptre... It suddenly dawns on you that this was featured on the diagram you saw in the Devious Den!)
Return to Cserra to put the sceptre to use, and the madness to an end.
Choice: [You]-
-1. (o): I guess I’m ready. Let’s give this a try.
-2. (o): I need more time to prepare...
[1. Continues scene and enters tomb. 2. Cancels scene]
(o) Cserra: This sceptre has teleportation properties, remember? So it shall establish a link to the REAL Canine Sceptre and take you to it. This should also be Vulpra’s whereabouts; you’ll have to stop him as soon as you get the chance!
(o) [You]: By any means... right? I’ll do what I can.
(s) Eliot: Be careful in there [You]!
(sa) Barry: You get all the fun!
You grip the sceptre and hold it high, feeling a tingling sensation as it pulls you from this plain. As you travel through the rift of reality, everything quickly gets darker, warmer...
You awaken right outside a very grand and demonic temple, clearly ancient yet in possession of power and grandeur.
As soon as you open the door to the high temple you will be plunged into the last scene before the battle, so if there is anything left undone, do it now! Otherwise, proceed...
As you slowly push open the archaic gate, you catch a glimpse of Vulpra, clutching the canine Sceptre, deep in thought. As you watch, the sceptre begins to emit a pleasing aura which, in turn, lights up a monumental gargoyle, large enough to consume the entire wall in which it rested.
(o) [You]: Hmm, not a moment too soon...
Vulpra’s fox ears picked up, he turned to face you.
(s a) Vulpra: Wow, your even more persistent than I thought... you really aren’t any better than the others after all, are you?
(a) [You]: What’s the matter Vulpra, “surprised”?
(d) Vulpra: Wouldn’t you wish? I’ve seen your actions, [You]... I know what you can do. I had a feeling you’d try to protect your “pwecious wittle wace”...
Vulpra threw back his jacket to reveal his swords; Twin-sabres! The ones he used to kill Reaver! Would they claim another victim? ... his fangs were glittering through his dark smirk.
(d) Vulpra: Simple though it may be, It’d be a shame to slice you up [You]! We are the same... we both want what we think is best for the world...
(a) Vulpra: You were smart enough to solve the problems at Relleka! Why aren’t you smart enough to understand MY mission!?
(o) [You]: ...
(o) [You]: Forget it Vulpra...
(a) [You]: If I were to stand back and watch everyone I care about die, I’d feel the same way as you did! Your no better than those who took the lives of your family!
(a) Vulpra: You would DESERVE as much! Species like yours are the ones who began this conflict. Hypocritical cur! You have no feelings to injure! Nor is your mind even worthy of delving within this affair; you have NO idea how deep this runs... No knowledge of the werefoxes’ darkest and deadliest influenceswhich could tear this earth apart! ...But don’t worry...
He drew his blades confidently...
(d) Vulpra: You won’t be around to watch your loved ones die!
BOSS BATTLE: Vulpra (Level 185)
Health: 3200
Attack Style: Melee
Max Hit: 310
Info: Vulpra will attack with his blades at a very quick rate. Occasionally you may encounter an attack with the speed of a dragon dagger special. His special attack is also melee-styled: Vulpra will leap away to the side of the arena and suddenly dash in towards you as he spreads his blades! This powerful attack can drain your prayer, regardless of whether it lands a hit!
Strategy: For a while it may seem like Vulpra has a constant attack pattern; simple sword strokes. But don’t be fooled, he may unleash a surprisingly quick attack or his special at any moment! Because of this, always keep protect from melee activated, but watch your Prayer Points as Vulpra’s special drains them considerably. Eventually you’ll be able to respond to each of his moves accordingly.
‘Vulpra fell to his knees, unable to fight on.
(s a) [You]: Well, you did*’t seem THAT prepared.
(a) Vulpra: Have your laugh, human! I promise you, this setback won** save anyone... There will be justice for this world yet!
(u) [You]: Vulpra...Please...
Vulpra slowly rose, and teleported out of harm’s way.
You’re attention is caught by the continually glowing gargoyle...’
You must deactivate the gargoyle, simply by clicking ‘deactivate – gargoyle’ (basic enough ) and you will hold out the sceptre replica and drain its new-found energy. Lawzeaus can no longer be summoned! ...This way.
You will then be immediately teleported back to Zavionce. Larry, Eliot, Cserra, Zendith and Aiven are all in a group. Talk to anyone of them to complete the quest.
(su) Eliot: Well??
(h) [You]: It’s done. Vulpra fled and I neutralised a statue he enchanted!
(l) Cserra: You did it!
(su) Aiven: Just in time too it would seem, had that statue been kept enhanced it would have freed Lawzeaus!
(l) Barry: Congratulations, [You]!
(t) Barry: But is it over? Is Vulpra no longer a threat?
(u) Aiven: In all honesty... I’m not sure. Perhaps he is, or perhaps he’ll give up...
(h) Eliot: Heeyy, did*’t you say something to [You] about a reward? ...
(l) Aiven: Hm, straight to business! Of course. To assist you further in your battles [You], I will teach you the art of our jewel-infused weaponry!
(Aiven teaches you briefly how to apply enchanted gems to weapons)
(o) Zendith: Make good use of it, it’s not an easy skill to come across.
(l) [You]: Yeah, just like those passage pieces!
(T) Aiven: Oh, speaking of which, how did you finish the Vulpaen crest? I had a passage piece in an old cupboard of mine but... it’s gone missing.
(s h) [You]: Err... I just improvised.
(h) Aiven: Well, in any case, you’ve done the world a great service! It’s a rare honour, but I hereby allow the three of you access to some of the pleasures Zavionce has to offer!
Congratulations! You have completed ‘From Mission to Madness’!
You have been awarded:
2 Quest Points
10000 Magic Exp.
Fox-Speak Amulet
Access to Zavionce
The ability to junction jewel-enchantments to weaponry.
