Arzonus: Legends in Genesis - Page 2 Empty Arzonus: Legends in Genesis

Post by MorbiusMonster Sun Oct 24, 2010 6:05 am

First topic message reminder :

I am going to compile together a new chapter to add to Arzonus, set two years after current RuneScape events, and set on a different world entirely. The story is as follows.

"Two years have come and gone, and a lot has happened. Now, Master Arcus Maelstrom of Arzonus prepares to begin the greatest step of his people, the first occupied mission off-world, using experimental technology he has spent years developing. Travelling on the voyage are many well-known Arzonus citizens, and they prepare to take off in the a star ship, the first of its kind in Gielinor, and travel to a new world.

The flight goes on as planned, with all occupants on-board enjoying the comfortable flight and prepare to land. However, an anomoly projected from the other world below damages their engine array, and an unknown stowaway appears on board, forcing all of the crew the beam down to the planet below.

Several million miles from home and without transport, our heroes are divided and end up being thrown into the chaos of this new world, with them on the front line. In their travels, they discover ancient myths suggesting they aren't the pioneers from their world and discover one of their own kind, against all concievable odds, fighting for her life in what can only described as hell. Leaving is no longer a top priority as the werewolf heroes from Arzonus prepare to embark on a new expedition, beyond anything they could possibly have dreamed."

I will discuss this regularly. Be fore warned, story is subject to change accordingly.

The planet is new to the main Arzonus cast, but civilization does exist there. There is plenty to explore.

Okay, here are some of the standard templates for the stories.

Maya's story - Maya, Fang and Donicus seek to unite the separate clans across the planet. In exchange for helping each of them, they hand over special components that can repair the ship and allow it safe for transport again.

Morbius' story - Commander Rogue, following the commands of the voices in his head, gathers his resources to seize the Final Armada (patent pending) and hand it over to the demons along with all the military weapon codes that his predecessor memorised. Dawn manages to shut down the Final Armada to have it resecured in its rightful place, Rhetorii suceeds in holding back the demon hordes coming to collect the Armada on behalf of their king, and Morbius has Commander Rogue deactivated, just as his battle ship crashes into his fortress.

Giovanni's story - The Shadow Apprentice plans to use the Nightmare Key to manipulate the remains of the demon star to crash into the capital city, to give the demons the advantage in the war against humanity. However, thanks to Yaanas' demon clock, Giovanni places the future equivalent of the Key in the past for the Shadow Apprentice to find, and destroys the real thing in combat with the Apprentice, which in turn destroys the future copy. With the Apprentice powerless, Giovanni throws him into the core of the remains to execute him and combines his ability with Cheyenne to reduce the remains to nothing more than iron dust.

Scarlett's Story - Scarlett and her sister, with a new found sense of power, escourt the human armies to the Demon King's Palace at World's Edge. Scarlett engages with the Demon King in armed combat, but activates a videolink to show where her loyalties lie and defeats the King, using her newly discovered ability of air pressure manipulation along with the core of hunger to drain him dry of his power, throwing it back at him, killing the King once and for all. The human armies remove the bounty from her and Sedna's head and award them handsomely for their efforts.

Zectiox, as our newest addition to the suggestion team, your opinion towards Legends in Genesis would be valuable. You have ideas of your own, why not share some?

I am not certain whether or not you are in knowledge of Arzonus, but I assume to great accuracy that the greater contributors to this site will have the capability to inform you of it.

I doubt it. We've all repeatedly asked you to post it and you still haven't. I think, aside from Dusk and maybe Blaze, no-one active on this site has read Arzonus. Confuse

So Zect, if you find anything, please share. Wink

Well, I need to establish some important item classes;

1. Collectable - An item that features within the game, usually attainable after completing a specific task or function, the ownership of which benefits the player greatly by allowing them access to otherwise unavailable content.

2. Currency - An item that can be collected in abundancy and used as a valid trading item for a large number of items or properties the player may require on their journey.

3. Interactive items

Currency... hmmm.

*searches the website*

Okay, I can't find it. But Dark came up with a good list of currencies for various areas on RuneScape, and I think the currency used by pirates and charters was the Dubloon. I haven't started reading the quest yet, but if they left from Karyll when Zaros was slain, then Dubloon would have been the currency they would have likely took with them. Perhaps it's still in circulation? Rupins? Sorta like lupin, but minutely less obvious. Wink

The currency for Legends in Genesis need not be conventional, like cash or gems. In the Ratchet and Clank universe, they use bolts as an intergalactic currency (possibly because it is most contemporary with the theme).

The Arzonus cast might just collect something simple, perhaps like moonstone or perhaps Spirit Shards to use as currency on the New World.

Just like caps in Fallout! Smile

It should really be a native currency though, surely? Your small group of characters is hardly going to trade among themselves with currency.

Of course, if the game is released onto PS3 or we just want to put together something interesting, there still should be the trophy element to the game, wheere completing challenges or meeting goals will award you with trophies or skill points (if LiG was made by Insomniac, that principle would be employed).

Silver Trophies:
Max out two characters from each story (x4)
Collect a total of 1,000,000 Moonstone Shards.
Arzonus' got Talent - Collect all Skill Points
You feeling lucky, punk? - Upgrade all Weapons

Bronze Trophies:

Kill the Humans! - Defeat 2000 Human enemies
Whose Side Are You On? - Attack civillians as all characters
Saving up for Something special - Collect 5,000 exp, but not use it.

"Your standard issue Chimaera includes a variety of special features.

In order to preserve the organic flesh and tissue for extensive periods or during extreme stresses, a cryoplasmic fluid has been installed that freezes cells, without causing haemolysis as it does so that is injected when the situation demands it.

The Chimaera has a holographic projector, self-transporting and powered by an independent battery. The power supply contains a matter polariser, which gathers nearby molecules to allow the hologram basic interaction processes.

Its armaments consist of natural pyrokinetic breath, encased within the mouth region and powered by natural gases; twin laser emitters that are specially concentrated for engineering purposes; and impressive brute strength and militia grade solid shell revolver."

Which sets the story for Yaanas the Chimaera.
