We need quests that are actually worthy.
Fix the goddamn topic title length, its like 40 characters long.
Anyway, we need quests in runescape that are actually worth of being considered "master quests." Completing the hardest quest to date, Recipe for Disaster, was one of the most fun experiences I've had playing this game. The only real hard part of that quest, however, was the fact that each boss was merely a food-themed version of a boss found in a quest that was prerequisite to RFD itself. I don't remember all the bosses because I'm a noob, but I do remember fighting each one and thinking how awesome it was to be able to kill an excellent boss all over again, most notably the daggonath/gelatin mother.
The only time I've ever died questing in this game was on phase 2 damis during desert treasure, at which time I was being a retard and waiting till he was in melee range to cast the next entangle spell. Didn't work out so well. Then I stopped being a retard, brought a couple friends along and owned his ass (but I ran out of entangle runes before he died, oh noes!), with only a brief interjection from said friend to block damis for me =D.
As far as the two hardest bosses in the game, in my opinion the shadow and blood diamond bosses from desert treasure (**** YOU DAMIS, **** YOU), are about at or slightly below the difficulty of the quality of a generic really-hard-boss that I'd like to see in a quest. I'd like to see an instanced mini-dungeon (meaning you get your own version of the area w/o other people- think daggonath area/swan song area, etc) where death doesn't cause you to lose items, but with a boss that most players would be expected to fail on at least once. Probably not something with the sheer unforgiving nature of The Jad, but some boss where being a retard can actually kill you.

Re: We need quests that are actually worthy.
I want a boss impossible to kill solo, meaning you can poison-hide it (possible even a mutant that feeds off poison so it's advised not to bring poisoned weaponry).
Lol, my hardest bosses, or the ones that took me some thought, was the Blood Diamond (I underanticipated the power of his range attack) and the first dream-monster... melee against it is an impossible feat! Luckily, I've always found Ancient Magicks the only way to quel a high level foe... ice attacks that hit high and block movement - simple.

I too would like a boss that is impossible to kill solo, but without brute-forcing it (such as 2 players being alternately incapacitated, where a solo player would get owned instead of the boss turning to his friend), I doubt it can be made to work without giving the boss something like absurd health (1000+) as well as abilities that scale in direct proportion to the questers' abilities.

Re: We need quests that are actually worthy.
The highest leveled creature to date was released a few days ago in the Summer quest. It's like 17 levels higher than Jad, but cannot be fought.
I want to see a level 999 quest monster for a team (or even clan) quest that can be re-fought.
If you want worthy, Psycho may as well post his Desert Treasure 2 idea.

I've reposted it on the forums as Return of Zaros Part 2
