First topic message reminder :
3mptylord vs Slayer Noir: Race to80 90
Target: bgcolor=#556B2F

Spoils of War
My suggestions that made the game:
Ashes the WASTE of a Demon, by Psychoboy8
• Synopsis: Ashes can be scattered for prayer XP, and graded by difficulty to obtain.
• Result: Impious, Accursed and Infernal Ashes, all scatterable.
Prayer Is Insulting, by Psychoboy8
• Synopsis: An expansive thread for creating a fairer Prayer skill: a Zamorakian prayerbook, Zamorakian and non-melee armour providing a prayer point bonus, etc.
• Result: The Ancient Curses prayerbook contains some conceptually similar effects to the Zamorakian prayerbook. This thread isn't closed.
Non-Player Quests/Fiction Within Fiction, by Psychoboy8
• Synopsis: A feature that allows players to assume the play of other characters to add background/depth to their story. Or even to remain as yourself in stories that would not be possible in "real life".
• Result: The Fremennik Sagas, three NPQs that take the player (in the shoes of various NPCs) into Daemonheim
Minor tweaks:
• Renaming the Zarosian Statuette.
• General Graador now drops Ourg bones (with hindsight I'm not proud of this).

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Dear Blog,
So I watched a film this morning called War Boys. It was recommended to me and it was good! However, I've just experienced a far worse ending than the abrupt death of a main character without any real warning: the abrupt near-death of a main character and the film ending!
Ah well, it was good nonetheless.
Love,
3mpty

Dear Blog,
I swear if I get another summoning door in Daemonheim I will actually ragequit. I'm trying to get dungeoneering ahead of summoning so I can use Tears of Guthix on Summoning...

*Laughs evilly*
Whatever entity is at the bottom of Daemonheim clearly wants me to win.

Curses!!!
Also, I forgot that you get massively reduced experience for repeating a floor and that for the best rate of experience you need to reset your progress everytime you bump into the "your level isn't high enough to progress".
Just reset my progress and Dungeoneering doesn't feel quite so depressingly slow anymore.
How come when I play with a party I get 2-3k average xp, but on my own I get 3-4k?

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Must be other factors effecting experience - remember party size isn't the only one.
When with a party, were you:
On a smaller floor?
On a lower floor?
Killing less monsters?
Opening less bonus rooms?
Dying more?
On lower complexity?
All those could be explanations - a lot of different factors effect a floor's XP yield

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Small, complexity 6, only two of us. We cleared all the rooms, save for some of the dead-end combat rooms. I made an effort to get all the resources, and he made potions in most game. It's not more or less than I'm now doing on my own.
Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
See, if you wanna up your XP per floor, it's gotta be a party of 5, with a floor designed for 5, large, and complexity 6. Duoing compared to soloing won't show much of a difference.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
go to the gold rocks by Karamja...use the enchanted whistle and fairy ring network--makes mining at your level go so much faster (that's how I got my level to around 68 from like 64)
plus it will give you an advantage in smithing and crafting, too

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
I'm currently mining coal in the Resource Dungeon with the deposit box. I was doing granite before that but I suck at quick-dropping.
Surely Tokkul-Zo and Fairy Rings would be quicker? I haven't seen proto-Lumbridge... I mean the Fisher Realm in years.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
I wish I could give you more help, but there's no fast or fun way of training mining. I did the resource dungeon until I could use the lava flow mine, and then went there.

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Why would you feel the need to use that fairy ring though? I swear there's nothing in the Fisher Realm?

Re: 3mpty's Blog - Bizarre Boron Swell!
Oh I get it now. Bank in Zanaris, fairy ring to fisher realm and teleport to the mine. I think it's kinda nice that there's a little niche for the fisher realm. A lot of quest areas end up totally unused after the quest...
