I agree. I took a look into my profile and HOLY HELL, everything's been multiplied four-fold. -.-
Some other threads have been deleted too.
There's a whole group of reasons why I prefer the older version to be honest

This isn't community forums, this is apartheid...
I saw your thread on the forums, it isn't THAT thread, you've lost is it?

Suggestions are split, so I can't post on suggestions I like, without having to wait 6 hours, to post on one of my own again...

Re: Re: 19/04/2010 - Forum Reshuffle
If you're thinking of Zavionce, no, it's fine. But a much simpler thread which was really just suggesting fox-pets (made long before Zav was.) has vanished.
And you're right, I feel this divides the community rather than helps it.
I'd hate to think the TST would be hindered by this (at least we still have this site though). And yep, the barrage of stickies in F2P Suggestions is going to result in a mad bump fest to remain on Page 1. >.<

It's in all Suggestions... So, now I can't post on Zavi?

Zavionce was one of the threads which were multiplied, and a copy was placed in each "class". So you can probably still find it.

Ya, but you can't post on my version, can you?
Also, I suggest we split this forum in four. There is no reason why we should be a community, I mean we are all interested in suggestions. But Dark and I are higher levelled, so we want our own forum.

Re: Re: 19/04/2010 - Forum Reshuffle
Actually, I think I can post on yours, despite my levells not reaching the req!
When the update occured, every suggestion that remained were put into every 'class', and their authors can still edit, maintain and post on them. Oddly enough though, this means any idea made after this update won't get the same mass audience.
. . .I think.

Not sure. But everyone else's ideas have multiplied too, so it wouldn't make sense for their threads to be where they can't maintain them.

Well then this new layout's even messier than I thought. I don't see why they'd put someone's thread in a forum where there's nothing they can do with it.

I'm in tier 3, posting in tier 1 and 2 would mean not going back for 6 hours (I don't know if bumping counts) and I can't even touch my thread in tier 4.

I'm hurt that I wasn't AT LEAST given warning to back up my threads... it's polite if nothing else.
Not to long ago you released "skiller worlds". These did no split the community, merely offered restricted somewheres for communities to go. We don't need separating. We don't want separating. At very least give back the largest forum community: the Suggestions.

Official communities will only be visible to players who meet the requirements to view them, and their access to them isn't restricted. Official community forums would, ideally, hold 100 pages and would be for anything their community wants to discuss.
Player communities are private forums for clans and other communities. Clan leaders send an application and, if accepted, Jublex would give them their own private space. These forums could be smaller... maybe 20 pages? Clan leaders would have some administrative rights including the ability to promote players to co-admin and moderators.
All communities a player has access to would be visible on their profile with no limit. This feature is most useful for monogamous clans, or clan-event organisers.
There are better ways to control spam and help players keep their threads alive... a rank system is probably the easiest and least violent.
A three-star rank system. New players have no stars. Rank-1 is at 100 points, rank-2 is at 1000 and rank-3 is at 5000+. Moderators and Admin would receive 5 coloured stars!
At rank-0 players can only have 5 active threads and are limited to 20 posts an hour. At rank-1 players can have 5 active threads, rate threads, are limited to 100 posts an hour and can bump a single of their own threads once every 10 minutes. At rank-2 players can have 25 active threads, rate posts, are limited to 250 posts an hour and can bump each of their own threads once per 10 minutes. At rank-3 players can have 50 active threads, have no post-per-hour limitation and can bump other players threads at once per 60 minutes.
Thread owners receive the ability to "thank" a reply to their thread (once per player per thread). Receiving thanks is worth 5 points.
Receiving a thumbs up for your post is worth 1 point. Receiving 5 thumbs down for a post is worth -2 points.
Post-ratings stop affecting points 48 hours after the post is made.
Receiving a thumbs up for your thread is worth 1 point.
You cannot rate posts on thread you have not replied to.
Other auto-moderation could be incorporated, such as hiding posts, if they receive a certain negative rating. Or, at least, part-hidden (so players can click to view them).
Players who receive a large number of negative points in a short space of time would be flagged to moderators and players who receive an excessive amount in a short space of time will be temporarily-muted and flagged for urgent inspection.
Ranks would be visible below the players name as well as the total number of posts (preferably from the update) and % positive rating (compared to negative: not total post count).

Re: Re: 19/04/2010 - Forum Reshuffle
Screw Jublex... what activity I had on their forums is probably done.
When the forums were down, I was hoping for the massive good forum update they promised.
My last thread, the SEP, is dead for no reason. I posted on it the day before the forums went down. I have 6 copies of 3 threads on my profile and 2 or 3 of another.
As if the forums were too active again...
^ That's a pretty fancy idea you got there ^

I thought that's what players meant by communities... that community bit of the idea any. The ranks is just me.
Re: Re: 19/04/2010 - Forum Reshuffle
Well, with this latest update, my last remaining quest thread has been rapidly removed from the forums...and I can't post any of my ideas where they'd be most appreciated (in a P2P forum)....and the Suggestions forum is once again a big conglomeration of ideas that people don't really care about. Wasn't that why the suggestions forums were split up in the first place? All I can say is that I'm done with the Runescape forums from now on. There is literally no reason for me to return.
