Like I said in game: I'd love to help, but I really don't have any empathy to draw on here. Beyond my advise to just try and tell your mother, she might surprise you in how understanding she is (mothers usually are): I got nothing. But, as you said, you don't think she'd take it well.

The best thing you can do is be honest with her. Tell her what you feel.

My sister went through some horrible... horrible shit and now she has turned her life around.

The only way to get a smoker to quit is up to the digression of the smoker. No matter how you can change that. Which is what I hate about drug-addicted people, but it is the hardest reality of all. And quite frankly, that's all you can do and its like you have the feeling and duty to make him or her stop. I know it hurts...it does.

Show her, but don't get violent, what she is doing to you.
