Suggestions
well well Mogruls Dynasties how're we doing Hrekim Dynasty (Done) 3-4 more dynaties... (idk but "Hrekim" sounds as a type of Dynasty ;D)
dynasties anyway.. or Hrekims idk both sounds great.. Hrekims sounds more "our own word" still the Hrekim is the mountain Mogruls (maybe the oldest Mogruls?? then the other mogruls have spread to the other parts of Pallis due to growing population?)
suggestions of words to Mogruls:
Kapral - Emperor (maybe the leader of the dynasty?)
Jedark/s - Forces/Armies
Sargtic - Guardian/s
Trothar - Protector
Harmaki - "Bounty Hunters" maybe one dynasty?
Kartahic - Discoveries (explorers?)
Atonus - Elemental (magician or something?)
Austratir - Flying (maybe near the Dragons nest - mogrul Dynasty?)
Kethendic - Gems (maybe the other Mountain Mogrul Dynasty)
more coming (just got the idea-boost so... ) - just suggestions

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
Well Im gonna continue on this..
Suggestions to name the other 4 Dynasties:
The five Dynasties of Toba
Now is the other problem.. all this "northern part of Toba" "most western part of Toba". We need names of theese locations, the mountains, the sunken sea-land, the plainland, the coast.. everything.. easier to know where we place things I hope Empty have some ideas ;D or anyone else?
Suggestions to name the other 4 Dynasties:
The five Dynasties of Toba
- Spoiler:
- The Hrekim Dynasty
Location: Northern mountains of Toba
Main Export: Ores, Weapons and Tools
Main Import: Timber and Food
Defence: Well trained soldiers for incoming attacks which protects the dynasty and its towns.
Status in Wartime: Aggressive
(Other facts: The Hrekim Dynasty have one of the strongest Jedarks around Toba, they got new and upgraded armor and weapons and are strong vs melee and ranged. Some calls this dynasty as the Trothar Dynasty, as they can send support in crisis.)
The Azarit Dynasty
Location: Southern mountains of Toba.
Main Export: Stone, Granite and Marble. Gems and jewellery
Main Import: Timber, tools/weapons and food
Defence: Round-going wall round the dynasty and a small wall round every little town inside it.
Position in Wartime: Defensive
The Otaiu Dynasty:
Location: Western Toba
Main Export: Timber, Wool and Food
Main Import: Tools and weapons
Defence: Wooden Wall around the city, trained Sargtic's around the city in wooden outposts
Status in Wartime: Mostly Defensive, but can be offensive.
The Austratir Dynasty
Location: Most eastern part of Toba
Main export: clay, ceramics and bricks
Main import: tools, timber and food
Defence: The Dragons nest is somewhere around, maybe they could have got one or two dragon to protect them from invaders, otherwise they could have a small wall for protection.
Status in Wartime: Defensive
The Hemek Dynasty
Location: Near the western coast of the northern sea (if its the dark or the cload see, idk)
Main export: Food
Main import: tools, weapons and timber
Defence: A developed fleet for defence and offence
Status in wartime: offensive and Defensive (defensive on land and offensive on water)

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
To make it more annoying, the Mogrul would probably name it something different to the Caldorian races.

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
just stopping in for a few seconds...
@ Zetinox I like the names, but I don't really like the names with apostrophes because it brings negative connotations about them being primitive. I honestly prefer the more imaginative names from "Teith" down.

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
The apostrophe has always come across to me as alien/fantasy, rather than primitive. But at the same time, it's almost overused. People stick an apostrophe in it just to make it sound better... it's like replacing Is and Ys, or Cs with Ks. K'rys. It usually works better if the syllables are both harsh, or it's genuinely replacing a letter.
Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
well why not a vote and a long and endless discussion over this?

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
we just need to discuss which is better or if we choose both of them or use the last alt.
example:
A apostrophes
...Ough'ata
...A'torenth
...Cl'omtin
B Dashes
...Cerann-tur
...Tor-ingaz
...Ustoz-hin
C (this is actually dragon names)
...Tasbeloth
...Auranilth
...Kimtanith
which sounds best as Mogruul/Mogrulic (something is mogrulic/mogruul)

I don't give a damn, and a vote is stupid.

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
well dont give a damn then, and let us others, who want to give their suggestions and thoughts of this project, do our thing... well Vote was just for fun, as most of the discussions ends up twisting about something off the topic itself...
well now, what do you suggest as the main names over the Mogruls, or do you have suggestions over some other names, feel free to type and press send

Zectiox. Pallis is a group project, but the Mogrul are at this point yours. You created them, so take responsibility for them. Make your own decision.

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
Is the "New Post" feature that used to flag up if someone else posts while you're writing not working?
Haha, we need a direction for Pallis to go in. I wish I'd started Pallis discussion now, 'cause then I'd be a few months into my Games Development course by the time we get to this stage... and I'd be producing prototypes.
Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
Yea we would need a direction indeed.. Maybe do one thing complete then start with a new one, or maybe not. First like making toba, mogruls, dynasties, everything about mogruls ;D then take caldorin, diminor, dwallow... Etc. Then combat, skills, layout, surrounding... Or did you mean smthing completely different ;D

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
I more meant story... it's hard to really discuss mechanics in any depth without a system to trail and error on.
Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
In that case, well we got many great story-tellers around here, we could give it a try ;D

Re: [P] Everything about Mogruls
I gave it a try, and NOW we need a story... >.>
EDIT: Did I say one? I meant MANY.
