Amg wow Jagex!
First topic message reminder :
Apparently Paul Gower, Andrew Gower, and Constance Tedder (former CEO) have all been removed/ have let the board of directors to be replaced by some people from some random investing groups.
Basically creative geniuses just got booted out in favor of moneymen
And this apparently happened december of 2010, not long before the new poll and the return of the Wildy/Free trade

Well, the Eastern Lands are Mediveal Asia, and the Western Lands (which are going to come even later) would be based off of the Medival Americas.

Re: Amg wow Jagex!
"Medieval America" made me chuckle.
Machu Picchu does look nice.
I'd say the the game is largely based off of Western Europe, with a hint of Scandinavia and the Middle East. It'd be interesting to have both Native/Meso America in the west and the Orients to the East. All we need than is some Africa, Oceania and South America.

Re: Amg wow Jagex!
I'd rather have South America than North, it looks cooler.
Karamja is Africa.
Karamja is Africa.

Re: Amg wow Jagex!
Karamja has always come across tropical Asia to me (India, Jungle Book style). But I guess it could be west/tropical Africa (Tarzan style) or Madagascar.

And what was in the post directly before the LMGTFY before you edited it...I wonder? Also, Bwana is directly from Swahili.

Re: Amg wow Jagex!
But my point still stands, not a lot of Medieval South America is used. Great temples in the mountains, vast tribal regions with such amazing beauty. It's a shame, because it would look brilliant. You could slip something like cursed gold then when fashioned into arrow tips would curse the enemy if they land a hit.

Re: Amg wow Jagex!
Medieval South America?
You do realize that really only applies to Europe right? In Europe the fall of the Holy Roman Empire brought in the Dark Ages, learning and "scientific" advancement staggered to a halt. Thus the "Middle Ages" (Medium aevum is the latin of this, Medieval is the adjective) are the period in between the times of advancement.

I said, "Karamja has always come across tropical Asia to me (India, Jungle Book style). For me I need a savanna to bring explicitly Africa to mind." or something like that.
But I edited my comment in the same minute you posted your LMGTFY... I honestly didn't even read your comment until like 10 minutes later when I got the email notification on my phone.

That's why I chuckled on the last page.
I'm guessing they mean what was going on in America at the time, but when I first read it I thought someone genuinely thought that the medieval period happened in America...
Re: Amg wow Jagex!
I'm not that stupid. But yeah, medival is not the right word. I mean the Western Lands would be based off of- yeah you know.
